Hotel Pensión Bonifaz Quetzaltenango

Checking in was both smooth and fast. Staff were very friendly from front desk to waiters to housekeeping.||Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Room and washroom amenities were more than adequate.||For a hotel of this age it has been well maintained. Kudos to the staff & management.||Location is fantastic at Central Park. Walking distance to many eateries and other attractions.||Highly Recommended!

Family run hotel who absolutely went above and beyond. I went to reception to get assistance to find a medical clinic that was open on Christmas Day as I have an ear infection and was in a lot of pain. Ximena not only arranged for a doctor to come to see me at the hotel, she also arranged for one of the team to collect my prescriptions. Truly exceptional service and way more than I would ever expect from hotel staff and management/owners.

Great location, close to the plaza. Rooms are nice, nothing fancy. We stayed on the second floor because my dad has bad knees and there isn’t an elevator in the hotel. The caged birds are on the same floor and they would start chirping at 6 am, which was not fun. Hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the place itself is very clean.

The hotel is pretty good, the issue is that it doesn’t have an elevator so if you end up staying in the 5th floor you’ll have to take the stairs. Breakfast was good and the location was right in the main square of quetzaltenango.

A bit rundown we couldn’t used the hot tub since the tub plug doesn’t work other then that the service is great 👍

The hotel is lovely, clean, and centrally located in Xela. The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable, the hot water was plentiful, and the ambience was fabulous. What got me to leave the review, however, was that I left a valuable item in my room and before I even knew it was missing, they chased me down on the street to return it to me. That level of honesty and integrity is invaluable. Can’t wait to be back!

This is not a fancy hotel. It is clean, but well dated. Our room was next to the road and with no air conditioner the open window let in plenty of noise. The staff were friendly and breakfast basic but good. If you appropriately set your expectations you will probably enjoy your time here. We would stay again.

Good choice, would stay again no English spoken. On city square. Restaurants nearby.
