Great place if you're traveling by bicycle or motorcycle! We could park inside the hotel and got the room next to our vehicles. (car parking is on the street.) The room was clean and tidy. Hot showers. In a nice neighborhood with a square. No breakfast included, but there is a great kitchen to prepare your own. View at the church. At night it's beautiful with the lights.

I couldn’t ask for a better place. The owners are very friendly, very polite and very helpful. As a tourist I had so many questions about how in getting to places but with their help it was a lot easier. There is a lot of places to go within a walking distances. Room very clean. Price very good for the location. Truly recommend in staying here.

Good value. My yellow room was a bit grubby. Kitchen shared space was nice, met some good people. Building itself nice character. Guy in charge rarely visible, evasive.

There is no reception desk; you need to call when you arrive. The rooms are pale, echo-y, with bright white lighting, no side tables, and posters for curtains, and not very clean. There was no blanket on the bed; I had to ask for one, again by calling. There is a high-pitched electronic buzzing coming from somewhere; it gave me a headache. The dog peed and pooped right outside my room multiple times.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Of course, to begin with, it is a relatively simple hostel. The private rooms are fairly large with airconditioning and good bathrooms. The communal kitchen is more than adequate, and the terrace next to the kitchen is a common area for most of the residents to socialize (this is a very social hostel with a great vibe). The owners have thought about a lot of the small things that make a visit easier: filtered water throughout, free bikes to cruise the beaches, and even a jacuzzi on the terrace (although in the heat of Mazatlan, I had no interest in a jacuzzi). The staff are incredibly friendly and make everything at the hostel a pleasure.||||This is a great place for a true traveler. It is located in the quaint historic center, and outside of the airconditioning in the room, there are no incredible luxuries. However, it has just about everything to make this place feel like a home away from home -- nice kitchen, excellent common areas, friendly and social staff and tourists, comfortable beds, etc. There is no doubt that I will stay again at Hostel Mazatlan during any subsequent visits to Mazatlan.

I choose this hotel because of good reviews and I was not deceived they let me park my motorcycle in side,Luis the owner is a great guy I wish I could have stay one extra night.

Nice, spacious room. There is hot water - you just have to let it run. The kitchen terrace is a huge plus. No parking but they offered the lobby to park my bike in. Excellent location with just about everything I needed in walking distance.

The hostal staff were very courteous and I had a good time. I stayed in a single room for three days which was clean and the location is good. The best part was the bike rentals, although they have older bikes you can use for free. I upgraded to a new bike for 40 pesos. This by far is the best way to explore the boardwalk and surrounding area. I had a good time. Also they have a mango tree there, free mango smoothies, fresh off the tree. Thanks everyone.
