Me and my girlfriend had been staying in this hotel for one night only, while renovation works were in progress. As I see now many recent reviews mentioning the ongoing renovation. Yes, it is still on site. But that didn’t really bother us as we had no problem with water supply, heating, access to elevator etc.
🛌Apartment:
Yes, the room was pretty small, but as I heard it’s common for Paris. We had a big double bed in our room, as well as a table and two chairs. The apartment was very clean at the time of our arrival.
🍳Breakfast:
Due to the renovation works breakfast is served to the room. We were given a paper to choose what we wanted to get. Next day when we got our breakfast not all of our wishes were fulfilled. To be more precise, there was a lack of one portion of yoghurt, as well as some pieces of sausage. As the apartment wasn’t big enough, we had to enjoy our breakfast sitting on the bed.
📞Reception and Check In / Out:
The check-in process usually happens at 14:00, but we were late for about 30-40 minutes. At the reception we were checked-in in a minute with no problem at all. I really thank the young woman receptionist for her help and involvement. We experienced nothing but the best attitude.
At the checkout we asked to store our luggage till the evening, so we would have no need to keep it with us the whole day. The receptionist kindly took our luggage and we were hand-free till almost 20:00.
❌Drawbacks:
The biggest drawback we experienced is the very thin apartment front door. There is a play in the doorway, so the door is easily moved by air flows. Also, the soundproof isn’t particularly strong (for the door). We were able to hear people in the hall, as well as they could hear us.
Overall experience is good. The hotel is located right next to Jardin du Luxemburg, which gives you a lot of options to walk and explore the surrounding.
