Where to Stay in Madrid (Updated 2025)

"Housed in a 19th‑century building just steps from Puerta del Sol, this 64‑room property feels like a bargain for its location and amenities; the simple rooms have flatscreen TVs, a desk, hardwood floors, hydro‑massage showers and comfy beds — request a streetside room for a lovely view." - Matthew Kepnes

The 7 Best Hotels in Madrid (Updated 2025)

"Housed in a 19th-century building a few steps from Puerta del Sol, this three-star hotel feels like a bargain for its amenities and central location; the design is minimalist but cozy with warm salmon and peach tones. I appreciated the expansive buffet breakfast that caters to all diets with a wide variety of pastries, cold cuts, and fresh fruit. The soundproofed rooms are compact but cleverly laid out with flatscreen TVs, Wi‑Fi, parquet floors, small desks, and minibars; they’re clean and comfortable though largely undecorated. Because some rooms are windowless while others get plenty of natural light, I recommend booking a streetside room if a view matters. The recently renovated bathrooms have rainfall showers with excellent water pressure." - Matthew Kepnes

I had a great stay at this hotel. A special shout-out to Irene, who kept me informed about changes in my booking — her communication was clear & thoughtful. I truly appreciated the hospitality and will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Madrid.

The room was small but it had everything you may need, very comfortable beds and sheets. The air conditioning? Splendid. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast there. I appreciated the silence while sleeping. The location is perfect if you need to be close to Metro (Sol station), shops, and tourist attractions. We stayed at the beginning of June 2025.

my rare Jellycat Plushy was stollen from my room. Once i noticed it was missing a few days later i called the hotel twice, they said they would get back to me and never did. I then emailed them and reached out on the website, again to no avail. Don’t stay here unless u want your stuff stollen from your room.

100% recommended. I traveled with my teen daughter and we felt safe. AWESOME location: 10 steps to Puerta del Sol, 11 min walk to Plaza Mayor, 13 minutes walk to Gran Via, 13mi utes walk to Palacio Real. Great restaurants around Hotel was clean, service 100% good and friendly, room VERY comfortable and nice. Great Wi-Fi I will sray here again in my future trips to Madrid: GREAT hotel for friends traveling together as everything is close

Save your time and money and stay somewhere else, unless you enjoy being locked out of your room multiple times. First when we checked in, there was a strange moldy smell so we had our room changed. Next thing we know after coming back from dinner, our doorlock is malfunctioning. Husband went back and forth downstairs to change different keys given by the reception and still no luck.. We ended up waiting for more than an hour for our doorlock to be reprogrammed. All we wanted to do was goto our room and wash up and sleep, instead, i actually fell asleep in the lobby waiting. The next day, same issue with the doorlock. Apparently, our nextdoor neighbor had the same issue multiple times. I am only giving 2 stars because the staff was nice. 다른 호텔 이용하세요

Great hotel for a two night stay for 2 adults and 2 children. We stayed in a family room with bunk beds and balcony. It’s hard to find rooms in Madrid that are spacious for a family of 4 but this fit the bill. The breakfast was excellent: Blanca was able to get us a 1 pm check in after a 7 am arrival. We were very grateful. Location is was excellent. Close to shopping, restaurants and Royal palace. We enjoyed our experience and stay!
