"Housed in a 19th-century building a few steps from Puerta del Sol, this three-star hotel feels like a bargain for its amenities and central location; the design is minimalist but cozy with warm salmon and peach tones. I appreciated the expansive buffet breakfast that caters to all diets with a wide variety of pastries, cold cuts, and fresh fruit. The soundproofed rooms are compact but cleverly laid out with flatscreen TVs, Wi‑Fi, parquet floors, small desks, and minibars; they’re clean and comfortable though largely undecorated. Because some rooms are windowless while others get plenty of natural light, I recommend booking a streetside room if a view matters.
