A really lovely stay in a gorgeous neighborhood. Yes, it's up on a hill and you'll spend a bit of time walking up and down to get into town, but the neighborhood is so lovely and green that you might not mind it so much.||The front staff is a delight: Philippe, Daniel, Kevin, and the lovely young woman who works nights. Actually, all the staff is warm, from the lady that hosts/manages the breakfast buffet to the cleaning staff. And yes, the breakfast is top notch. Nice space, nice balconies, nice everything. Highly recommend!

A wonderful hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff! The hotel is located with fantastic views over Nice. We spent one night in the hotel, in a very comfortable room. The hotel has a very pretty garden and pool, with plenty of places to sit and relax. The staff were absolutely brilliant - they went out of their way to help us with our luggage, give us tips on things to do and see in Nice, and tell us anecdotes about life in the city. They were extremely accommodating and helpful with all our requests. Thank you so much!

Hôtel Le Petit Palais is a boutique hotel located in a quiet, upscale neighbourhood in Nice. We (a couple) stayed for a week in September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had one of the deluxe terrace primacy rooms and it was nice to be able to sit outside on the terrace. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. As for meals, we only had breakfast there during our stay - the selection and quality of food was good and the breakfast terrace was a nice location to enjoy it. The staff were all very professional, friendly and helpful to us - always making us feel welcome. The hotel is a short walk down the hill into the city centre - a pleasant stroll that we enjoyed doing. Bolts were plentifully available as an option for the return to the hotel, priced at about €11 for the journey (Bolt was slightly cheaper than Uber.) All in all, we had a lovely stay at the Petit Palais and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful small hotel with quiet peaceful outdoor space and a small dipping pool. |Philippe at front of house is exceptional. Polite, courteous and professional. |Kevin phoned in advance to organise a cab from the airport it was 55 euros and so appreciated. |It’s the little things that make for an excellent experience. It’s quiet and up a steep hill in a lovely neighborhood. It has shutters so one can sleep easily. |Lovely space to unwind we’ll be back due to the gracious hospitality of Philippe.

This hotel is up on a hill, 10 minutes walk to place Masena. The neighbourhood is quite calm and quiet. The hotel personnel is extremely friendly and helpful (special thanks to Philippe for his hospitality). The breakfast was fine with a lot of varieties, I totally recommend this place

We had a wonderful stay in room 208. We had the luxury of staying at this beautiful hotel for 6 nights. The hotel is very luxurious, cozy and a true French villa with a lot of history. The hotel is a perfect getaway from all the city tourism. Philippe, the front desk manager made a wonderful impact on our stay. His kindness and exceptional hospitality was appreciated and made a difference, he is truly a wonderful kind hearted man that strives to please his guests. We will come back when we visit France again!

Was really impressed with Daniel at the reception. He was super helpful and friendly. He went over the top to make sure we had a wonderful stay. If you have issues with steep hills you’ll need to Uber up and down as it’s quite steep. It’s about 20min walk to old town and 25min to Matisse museum. The room was big and well kept. The breakfast had good options and was the best spread of our holiday in France. It’s a very nice and romantic hotel and quiet in the evening.

The staff the minute you walk in goes out there way to Welcome you in this beautiful boutique hotel , it smells amazing and the decor is top notch. Set away from the hustle and bustle of Nice , it’s a quiet oasis of luxury with wonderful amenities. The staff absolutely goes above and beyond to service there guests , Kevin is fantastic! He made my trip wonderful and helped me plan local tours , the lady who set up the breakfast everyday was so kind and it’s one of the best breakfasts with a tarte of the day , cheers to the chef ! They even had Jazz on the patio one night . all the staff deserved a golf star! Thank you! It’s in a quiet beautiful neighborhood.

Yelp
We stayed at le Petit Palais during our recent visit to Nice. Le Petit Palais is located on a steep hill. If you are planning to stay here, I'd highly recommend taking a taxi from the airport (~35 euro) or packing light. The hike up the hill with luggage can be a challenge, even if you're in decent shape. Service at the hotel is 4.5 stars. Phillippe is awesome and has great recommendations for dinner. He's friendly and welcoming. I would give him 5 stars. I would've rated the hotel higher, but it is a bit of a trek to the touristy spots. In addition, the walls are thin, so you can hear everything that goes on in the room next door. Our neighbors were definitely having a lot of "fun" on our last night. Even though I knocked on their wall several times, I wasn't able to stop their late night fun. We thought our room included the breakfast buffet, unfortunately it didn't and we had a 16 euro/pp/day charge. It wasn't that we minded the charge, but the food was definitely not worth the 16 euro/day. There weren't that many choices at breakfast. The hotel provides free wifi access, although it is spotty. It is also limited to two sign-ons per room. If you have a lot of wifi devices, you'll find yourself trying to figure out which device you want to connect to the wifi. There are some other creative ways you can get online, but I'm sure other yelp reviewers are smart enough to figure it out. :) If I visited Nice again, I would probably pay the extra $ and stay at the Hotel Negresco. I do recommend this hotel if you have a rental car. Nice is car friendly and this particular hotel is located in a residential area, so there is plenty of free street parking.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful boutique hotel overlooking Nice! Everything about this hotel is fresh, newly decorated and gorgeous. Comfortable beds and pillows, well-furnished bedrooms, sparkling clean and roomy bathrooms, friendly and helpful staff (who will explain where to go and what to do)...you get the picture! About one previous review: YES this hotel is located on a hill: the plentiful photos online clearly describe that fact...and the results are outstanding - quiet neighborhood, beautiful view, and fresh air! About another previous review: YES the breakfast is 16 Euros each but (traveling around the world) the buffet here is top-tier and delicious: hot eggs, bacon, sausage, plentiful fruit and baked goods, coffee and tea, juice and milk, yogurt, salmon and prosciutto...again, you get the picture! You are in France so definitely have breakfast other places on other days but for sure check out breakfast at the hotel itself! Everything is relative - for the cost (large bedroom with garden view for about 130 Euros) and the gorgeous/comfy/calm surroundings, I would give this hotel 8 stars if it was possible!

Yelp
Highly recommend this gorgeous place. Set on a (steep) hill in old Nice the rooms are spacious and we overlooked the ocean (albeit some distance away). The garden with breakfast (we didn't have it here as there was a stunning boulangerie (open every day) very close to the base of the hill where the hotel is perched upon) is beautiful, spacious and a little pool for the adventurous. The rooms are cute french, wall paper, mirrors but spacious and light. I wouldn't want for anything else in a hotel room. The front of house at the hotel was especially helpful. He has a great knowledge of restaurants and is very honest about the quality of food. His recommendations were excellent and we enjoyed chatting to him each morning about our plans. Very friendly, easy going and helpful. We would stay here again any day!
