Hôtel Phileas Lazare & Spa - Paris Opéra

We had booked this hotel due to its great reviews and 4-star rating however we would not stay here again. The 4-star rating is a bit misleading as we stayed at a different 4-star hotel in Montparnasse prior to this one and it was a night and day difference. The lobby and amenities seemed to be newly renovated, very nicely, with a great atmosphere however the rooms did not look the same. The hotel is a bit older which is reflected in the outdated room decor, little stains and discolouring throughout the room. The TV was also very old and did not work, even after a technician came to fix it, it continued to have issues. The room was a decent size and the staff were great to deal with. The surrounding area around this hotel wasn’t great, although close to transportation and some main tourists attractions, there were some very sketchy people out at night asking for cigarettes, money and being very noisy which could be heard from the room on a nightly basis. The value was okay however we do believe it is a bit over priced compared to its 4-star competitors. Overall this hotel is perfectly fine however nothing was spectacular. It is okay if you are looking for something central, however if you are expecting the 4-star experience, we would suggest booking elsewhere.

Bathroom had a foul smell and the overhead shower did not work. Water pressure was also very weak. I checked out and left my bags with the hotel, but later realized my power bank was missing from a pocket of my duffel bag.

We stayed at Hôtel Phileas Lazare & Spa – Paris Opéra for 6 nights, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is a 4-star property with a fantastic location. Everything was very close, including Saint-Lazare metro and train station. There are many restaurants next to the hotel, including a halal Turkish restaurant right next door with very delicious food. The hotel breakfast was very varied and extremely delicious. We were truly happy with our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and did their best to ensure guests’ comfort. We would like to thank them all, especially Azzedine, for his kind and professional service.

I stayed at Hôtel Phileas for 6 nights and had a great experience. The room was a bit old but clean enough and spacious for Parisian hotel, and the reception team was always friendly, helpful, and available when needed. They have a nice selection of drinks available 24 hours a day, and snacks are offered in the afternoon, which is a really nice touch. The location is excellent, just next to Saint Lazare station, very convenient for getting around Paris. It can be a bit noisy in the area, but I stayed on the top floor and so relatively fine. Highlight for me was the free access to the small gym. It’s simple but clean and perfectly fine for a quick workout. I was also offered two private spa sessions with access to the jacuzzi and hammam. The first session was perfect with a warm jacuzzi, although during the second session the water was a bit cold and the controls were a little tricky. Overall, a very pleasant stay with great service and a lot of thoughtful details.

A perfect hotel to discover and rediscover Paris. We have already stayed twice this year there with my best friend and we love it (and we return very soon)! Staff is great and very helpful. Lobby and rooms (in particular XXL room) are spacious and beautifully decorated with travel related elements fitting the hotel’s name & concept. Location is great, metro and RER stations are very close and last but not least Grands magasins & shopping streets are just a stone’s throw away. There are also several very nice Chinese restaurants just behind the hotel in rue de Budapest. Hôtel Phileas Lazare & Spa has become our favourite hotel to stay in Paris ❤️.

I had a wonderful stay at Phileas Hotel Saint-Lazare from the 19th until the 22nd of November, and my experience was truly excellent.||||The location is fantastic, very convenient and perfectly situated for getting around Paris. The room was always clean, well-maintained, and comfortably sized, which made my stay very pleasant and relaxing.||||The breakfast was outstanding, offering a great variety every morning. My sincere thanks to the chef and the entire hotel team for their hospitality, attentiveness, and continuous support throughout my stay. They all contributed to making my time at the hotel extremely comfortable.||||A special thank you to Miss Yvane Martin at the Front Desk. She was always warm and welcoming, especially in the mornings, with a beautiful smile and positive energy that helped me start my day in the best possible way.||😊😊😊 BRAVO

We stayed at the Hotel Philéas for 2 nights after a 12-day Norwegian cruise. The hotel is in walking distance to the Louvre and Notre Dame and all transportation. The rooms were small but very nice, everything spotless. The staff are so friendly, especially Kenza who checked us in and gave us recommendations on where to go. I would recommend this hotel to everyone; only blip was the breakfast. It was delicious but we had no idea that you had to pay extra for it, 21 euro each a day. If I knew that, I would have eaten a lot more!

Very helpful staff, Yvan at the front desk was particularly helpful, but everyone greets you and makes sure all is good as they pass . |Excellent location near great streets with cafes, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. Safe area, we walked all over. |Great breakfast and coffee, |Very clean with a good powerful shower.|Can’t go wrong here.
