We enjoyed our stay at the Fonix Hotel. It is really close to the centre of town so ideal for sightseeing. We had a good sized family room with en-suite facilities. The shower room was a bit small, but adequate. There was a fan provided and a small fridge for us to use to cool down drinks. Breakfast was limited but fine for the budget.||||If you arrive by car, as we did, you need to buy a permit in order to park in the streets around the hotel. The receptionist issued us with a parking permit which was meant to be valid for 24 hours. She dated it correctly, but neglected to complete the arrival time, meaning it effectively expired at midnight. This led to a 4,900 HUF (15 GBP) fine being issued the next morning. Unfortunately we only noticed this when we had already left Pécs and had no chance to dispute it.
