I came here about 8 years ago and still love the hotel’s design and staff service. However, this time, the building has aged, and we found many defects in the room, such as cracked walls and floors. The bathroom tiles need a deep clean or repairs. A renovation is needed to address these issues, but overall, it’s still good—the bed quality is great, the room is touched up daily, and this time, they even have an air purifier in the room :)

Nice hotel with Chinese(?) design elements. No elevator (something to be aware of if you travel with elderly people, for example). Good location with 4 parking spots (we came by car) if you're not keen on exploring the old city part of town. Friendly staff in the hotel and restaurant. Small cute garden with riverside seating. The room was nice and had the best ever mattress and pillows. But things like electric outlets to charge your devices were a challenge. Only two at only one side of the bed. So if you're tech-heavy, bring a power strip. The fridge was so noisy that we unplugged it. Breakfast was included (a small menu to choose from) and a small buffet. Nice, but it seemed quite lackluster. My Eggs Benedict came on a round cut out piece of toast (with the rind cut off) and were incredibly vinegary. My made to order pancakes probably came from the tray at the buffet. Nothing bad really, but nothing to write home about either.

Beautiful hotel - the building is nice, the rooms are also nice, the outdoor space and common areas compliment it all. The beds are comfortable. There is a coffee shop onsite, a pool, and plenty of space to work and lounge, if needed. Three minor recommendations: 1) Reduce the price of laundry. Even for Westerners, the cost to do laundry is extremely high. 2) Install censored lights (or any type of lights) outside the room doors on the ground level. It is hard to find the key hole in the dark. Unless there are lights, and ours happened to be nonfunctional. 3) Consider including a light breakfast with the service. The room prices allow for some basic toast and coffee. I will wrap it up with a positive note and give kudos to the staff for always helping in a friendly, yet professional manner, everyone from the front desk, to the kitchen team, to the maintenance crew - all amazing.

It’s my second time staying here. Location, facilities, and staff are definitely worth it! It’s very convenient, a lot of good restaurants nearby, and bedding is my favourite. However, only small comment on breakfast. Last time I visited it was a full buffet line with lots of varieties from western to Thai northern foods but this time it’s only small selection from menu which quite limited. Other than that this’s still my favourite stay in Chiang Mai.

Overall a pleasant stay. The room is basic with all necessary amenities. However the room and hotel needs a bit of t&c. The location is good and the staff very friendly. Breaking is fine, but the all food felt cold. Not many options either . I was expecting a bit more

So far will update later in my stay: Great view of the river and doi suthip. No elevator so reserve a room on ground floor if you can't manage stairs. Room a bit dirty, sticky brown liquid (looks like a coffee spill) on bedside cabinet, similar mess on balcony, toilet door does not stay shut and can't lock (inner door inside bathroom), used coffee sashets and very dirty cups. That's all for initial check in, let's see how the rest pans out.

This was my third stay at Hotel Ping Silhouette, and it continues to impress. Nestled by the river, this boutique property offers an intimate and private experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. The setting feels secluded and peaceful, with a calm riverside vibe that sets the tone for a relaxing stay. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with local charm, and the personalized service always adds a nice touch. I’ll definitely be back – it’s the perfect spot for those looking for a quiet retreat in Chiang Mai.

Location is great and the hotel is beautiful. Small gripe on small things like the shower water pressure, esp for the hot water, where you need to carefully turn on/off the cold water to ensure you have enough water for the shower. Generally the shower doesn’t stay very cold. Chic but non-user friendly layout with the shower being exposed in the middle between the toilet and sink so you constantly need to tread through the wet shower to wash your hands. Housekeeping isn’t very thorough each day, random trash get left strewn around. Also, no elevator for a 3 story property so watch out for that. All-in-all had a pleasant enough experience but might’ve expected a bit more.
