This is a well priced, grand style hotel close to the beach. It is well out of town but is a good place to stay for a quet time. The decor is very interesting with artefacts, books, old style radios and pianos and pianolas. There is even a small chapel at the end of the lounge area. Our room was good, clean and comfortable. The bar was largely unattended as there was only one staff member present on a Sunday afternoon. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Good value.

Very nice pool area with three different pools. Cleaned every morning. Nice garden. Very friendly staff. Free parking in the street. Relatively close to the beach which is nice. Free wifi in the room. ||||Clean but very basic rooms, with some things not up to standards. For instance beds a little too soft, no key for safe deposit (so you couldnt use that), shower not very good. Breakfast very simple (only one piece of white bread, coffee and juice), and only one waiter to serve all the guests. ||||A little too far to the city center. ||||We paid a little more than EUR 400 for a family room for three days, which is a little above the value. ||||All in all average

Just come back from a week's stay here (last week of September). Although built recently, this hotel feels nice and Spanish and quirky with loads of pictures on the walls, antique ornaments in old fashioned wooden cabinets, an ancient piano etc. As other reviews say, really helpful staff including in the bar who turned out a nice meal for us, even tho' we had arrived from the airport 10 minutes after the 10.30 closing time. The house wine is great and reasonably priced too!||||We loved the garden with the 3 pools, smaller ones for toddlers and kids, larger one for adults. Plenty of sunbeds and shade and lovely flowers.||||Interesting location. Wonderful pine forest to walk to beaches but although nearest beach is immaculate and huge, it is overlooked by industrial factories of Puerto and Cadiz! So better to walk round to the right and along 2 beaches (past the marina) to another big beach which really does overlook the Atlantic. More surf here so perhaps less suitable for kids? ||The rooms a bit outdated- beds were too hard for us but plenty of wardrobe space, decent bathroom, good shutters for the heat , good air con etc||||Loved Puerto de la Santa Maria- not as picture perfect as Cadiz but loads of lovely old buildings, squares. Great food- do try the shrimp tortillana||||I'd say this is a hotel for a week stay maximum rather than a fortnight family annual holiday. Also welcoming for people on their own

This is a budget hotel in a quiet part of town. It's minutes away from an amazing beach, though the short route is through a wooded copse which is unlit at night. (Simply walk the longer route via the local roads). There were a few bars, but when we were there they kept 'odd' hours. For example one closed at 8.00 and couldn't serve food much after 7.00 ? The other was rarely open ? Having said that "The Dunes" was only a short walk and offered good food and cheap drink. ||||On the other side of us was The Marina which had a better class of bar/restaurants with picturesque views. (Follow the beach path to the right.)||||The hotel was 10/12? years old but was done in a very historic style with many antiques as decoration. It had hundreds of paintings, a lot of which were of a religious matter. The room we had was a 'Junior Suite'. There were 3 adult males sharing, so it gave us much needed space, another room in fact.||||The breakfast was basic, with choices of breads, meats, cheese, cereals and some fruit. It was adequate for the week we were there, but I suspect if you're a family with children for a longer period, you might find yourself breakfasting elsewhere.||||The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English to varying degrees. One who particularly impressed me was the gentlemen (name ?) who had worked in Chester. He was funny, friendly and worked his socks off to get us a seven-seater taxi to the Jerez Moto G.P. There were only two in town, so a huge muchos gracias my friend.||||Also we asked for a 'proper' third bed instead of a sofa-bed, and this was done in advance. So the service all-in-all was faultless.||||The grounds were good with three pools, (one just for kiddies) with lawned areas for lounging, all very well maintained.||If you fancy a drink poolside, and the bar isn't manned, simply ask at reception and they'll come down and serve you. All very pleasant. ||||The Wifi reception was variable. It was intermittent in our room, but excellent in reception.....||||The town was a long walk or a relatively short taxi ride. N.B. you could get to the train station, for under 10 Euros.||Check out the huge market. When we were there, it was on a Tuesday. That's well worth a visit. Follow the beach road around to the river. It's quite impressive...||||The train to Jerez was 2 Euros each way and was just a 10 minute journey.||||Cadiz is a "Must See" with lots of narrow cobbled streets hiding fashionable shops and bars. The ferry to Cadiz was regular and very reasonable.||||t's easy to get around the three towns, Puerto, Jerez and Cadiz........

Visited in April 2019 in a school trip. So, just a warning, before we get critical, I haven’t visited this area in July, and I suggest it is better. This place approached to me as an entire hazard. I figured this hotel was struggling financially, hence the unstable staircases (no lie, every single one shakes like jelly) and holy images staring me down at my every step. The paintings gave a vibe to me, as if this place would be amazing for a horror film. One painting I spotted, supposedly cultural, looked like the KKK... I’m still a little baffled. Food is just your average, bland English food. If you want Spanish cuisine, I suggest you visit a restaurant nearby. A nearby market and a beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. Also is a buffet like breakfast, but your options run out after 2 days. The beds were incredibly creaky, cheap material for bedsheets. Most uncomfortable place I have ever slept in. You shouldn’t miss the sunset at the rooftop though, the best views are seen from the rooftop, not your person-small balcony. Since I didn’t come here in July, I can’t talk much about the pool since it wasn’t filled, but there is 3, I believe. 2 of them are big and 1 is a little kiddie pool. I suggest this place a renovation. The wallpaper is obviously peeling off, but it’s not in a hazardous way. This hotel obviously needs a complete metamorphosis. Wi-Fi isn’t as amazing, there are 4 different servers, yet none of them really connect every single time, only by chance. Cleaning was very regular, and the ‘towels down, towels up’ rule works very well. I also really liked the bathrooms and wide space of the rooms. Exploring this place was very enjoyable though, hence how I mentioned the creepy vibes earlier. Wouldn’t suggest this place for children though.

A warm welcome from the staff. An attractive building with mature plants. Lots of pictures & artefacts adorn the interior giving a bright & colourful appeal. |Three pools in the nicely maintained garden with showers. |Our room had a small lounge area with kitchenette. Good bathroom & storage space. |If anything I'd like the room to be upgraded a little. Nicer curtains, a blind in the front that opens, better quality mattress. But otherwise perfectly adequate. |Breakfast was very nice, the same as any other hotel. Fruit, cereal, toast. Staff very pleasant.|The hotel is further out of town but in an excellent position for the beach, the harbour & the woodland. ||The amazing bit was the staffs response when my husband became very ill. Francisco, the receptionist, offered to drive is to the hospital after his shift finished. Then later in the night when we needed a doctor they took care of everything. They were incredibly kind. Thanks again guys. |||||||||||||||||||

A friend and I stayed here for four nights in the summer. It is the kind of place you imagine Ernest Hemingway coming to for a few weeks to work of a novel. The atmosphere is discreet and elegant; you are given whatever service you need and otherwise left alone. The rooms are good value; the area is one of the most affluent in all of Spain and at night when you return from dinner (there is no restaurant on site) you will be assailed by the delicious aroma of night-blooming flowers. The beach is accessible through a beautiful forest of roman pines, but really not necessary because the hotel has two large and well-maintained swimming pools. You do need to have a car here because there is really nothing local by way of food or facilities. The clientele is almost entirely Spanish, mostly couples and families. We have plans to return.

Stayed one night because Los Jandalos was booked up but this was a pleasant alternative. The room was a little on the small side but equipped with a small kitchenette. Located a little deep inside a residential area so it was quiet. Not a far walk from restaurants or even the beach but cabs are affordable to get you there.
