Hotel Pinte Grindelwald

Good dinner. We sat on the patio enjoying the weather and the view. (It is on the main street so expect pedestrian & vehicle traffic and noise.) Salads were fresh. Tried the Swiss dish, Älplermagronen, while good there are other Swiss dishes we have enjoyed more. Service was attentive. We were not rushed after our meal was completed. If you would prefer the check sooner it is appropriate to ask.

A huge thank you for your wonderful hospitality during our stay on 11–12 August. From check-in to check-out, we enjoyed one of the very best hotel experiences we’ve had in Switzerland! We are so grateful for the kindness and efficiency of the front desk, and the restaurant and bar team’s impressive knowledge of wines and product sourcing. Most of all, we’d like to recognise your outstanding team member, Pedro, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, Pedro greeted us warmly and helped unload our car, stacking our four suitcases and hiking gear with care. He personally brought everything to our room, placing the bags and even our hiking boots thoughtfully. Upon our departure, he once again greeted us, and proactively moved our luggage to the car. His kindness, initiative, and professionalism are exceptional, and he is a shining example of the high standards your team upholds. We also greatly appreciated the late check-out today, which allowed us to enjoy a quick two-hour hike in the morning, freshen up, and depart by 1 pm, it truly made all the difference. Thank you again for making our time in Grindelwald so special. We look forward to staying with you again and enjoying more of this beautiful region. See you again soon!

Review for the restaurant: We had delicious dinner after a long hike. The people were very nice and I would really advise the garlic bread. Very good!

The rooms were nice, but unfortunately customer service was the worst I have experience in quite a while. Long check in time, no personal service and multiple misunderstanding and mix ups with collection from the station. The manager at the main hotel was very unhelpful and not apologetic at all. Certainly not the prompt and timely Swiss service I expected. Pinte has a coffee area on the landing however they were out of cups and coffee over 2 days. Overall very disappointing considering the price we paid. If you just want a room for the night this is your place.

Just shocking. Wouldn't call it a hotel. Massively over priced. No customer service, impossible to navigate. Bed was hard as rocks. Walls so thin we were kept up all night from people just talking next door. No coffee or tea in the rooms. Just don't waste your time or money. Gutted we wasted our night and had the worst sleep ever.

Location is great & price attracted me…. But I could literally tell you every-tine the restaurant below put the dishwasher on! Soooo disappointed with noise from restaurant, as although closed by 10ish, loads of activity after this - which sounded like dragging furniture around and banging doors way beyond closing time. When asked by resort about stay, I expected they wanted a review, but I must’ve been erased from their emails due to explaining I’d never book again. The room is nicely furnished. You would benefit from bringing a wee travel kettle with you. No fridge, very basic, but that’s what you’re paying for. As I said location great for accessing first and Grindlewald station, but wouldn’t recommend to friends as noise ridiculous and totally impacts sleep when you want to get up early to make the most of the surroundings. You’re not here for nightlife!

Had a pleasant 2-day stay in Hotel Pinte Grindelwald! The room we reserved is spacious and comfy! It takes 8-minutes walk from Grindelwald station and locates on the Main Street (near to the First cable station). Supermarkets (Migros and Coop) are nearby. We received a warm welcome from Reception team! One thing for those concerns the quietness - there would be some chatting or vehicles sound from the Main Street as there is the usual way for people. Except for that, we enjoyed the time while staying in the room!

Review is for the restaurant: I had a delightful dining experience at this cozy Swiss restaurant. The typical Swiss dishes were exceptional, with the rösti standing out as a true highlight — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. However, it did get quite warm inside, which made things a bit uncomfortable at times. Despite that, the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere made it well worth the visit. Perfect for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Swiss cuisine!

Cheese fondue: Really good!! Rich, creamy, and great taste. There were lots of things to dip in it. Potatoes, bread (of course), pickles, pickled baby corn, pearl onions, and everything on your plate if you want. Nuggets and fries: The nuggets were juicy and tender and perfectly seasoned and breaded with a nice crunch. Fries were good too and they came with mayo and ketchup. Mayonnaise was far better than anything I've gotten in the US. Ketchup was normal. Red rivello: I was very surprised by this drink. It tasted like a smartie made into a drink. Sort of like a the original red bull flavor but a lot better. Toblerone Mousse: This dessert included a scoop of strawberry sorbet, Toblerone flavored mousse, bits of meringue and small mint leaves. The sorbet was delicious, I only tasted a small amount of Toblerone in it but it was still really good and the meringue mixed in fantastically. The mint was a nice touch as well. Environment: We had a great view of mount Eiger and the chairs were comfy. Service: Waitress was enthusiastic and engaging who brought us everything we asked for. Food was brought quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. Overall: 5/5 Incredible place! If you are visiting Grindelwald I highly recommend.

Phenomenal restaurant that I hope gets more attention on Yelp. We had just finished a very long day of hiking up on Jungfraujoch and were absolutely smoked and famished. Many restaurants are not open at this time of the off season so the choices are limited. But this was recommended to us by our hotel staff and it lived up to expectations. We ordered the steak with rösti, the bratwurst with rösti, and the alpine Mac and cheese and homemade apple sauce. Everything was fantastic. The staff was very nice as well. We will def come back here!
