Hotel Piran

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right by the sea, and direct access to walk everywhere. The hotel has a romantic feel, the bedroom was spacious, we slept very well. We had breakfast on the terrasse facing the sea, it was wonderful! The staff was amazing and really made our stay the smoothest ever by organizing the parking pick-up and mailing our postcards. I would definitely stay there if in Piran again.

We stayed one night along our 12-day road trip through Slovenia & Croatia. We drove into Piran to drop off our bags at the hotel and then back out to the parking garage just outside of town where the minivan shuttle soon picked us up to return to the hotel. ||Our room (#319) was spacious enough, clean and comfortable. However, you have to be mindful of the shower or it will flood the bathroom. The bathroom was pretty small and there wasn't really a counter by the sink and only 1 hook to hang anything… The cheap plastic soap dispenser holder by the sink was broken, as were the holders in the shower. In fact, our bathroom is the sole reason why this hotel isn't rated a '5'; it was that sub-par. ||Otherwise, everything else was fantastic! The rooftop bar has great views of the water and city, especially during sunset. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the shuttle to & from the parking garage was timely and very convenient (starts at 7am). The hotel's location is great as well for exploring everything Piran has to offer. ||NOTE: The hotel's parking shuttle doesn't start running until after 7AM. So, if you're an early riser or need to access your car before then, you can walk to the central square and take the shuttle bus (1-2 Euro) to the main parking area and walk to the parking structure.

Staff polite, professional, good English skills. Room clean, decor nice. Bed comfort, pillows and covers top level. Plentiful hot water. Abundant breakfast buffet. I did not see an Americano coffee option. The bathroom could have used a couple of extra hanging hooks. Can’t comment on price because it was part of a package tour. The waterfront location perfect for sunset promenade and terrace breakfast.

The Hotel was great, comfy beds, good sized room with all you could need with a balcony directly overlooking the sea. Such a beautiful view. All the staff were friendly and helpful and on eating in the food was fabulous especially as the restaurant was also looking out to sea. Piran is such a beautiful place so the hotel and town work well together

Hotel Piran was a highlight of my trip. The location is unbeatable—right on the seafront with amazing sunset views. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely coastal vibe. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. Breakfast on the terrace was a perfect way to start the day. I’d love to come back!

Excellent location. You walk out the door and throw yourself into the ocean, which we did repeatedly. The hotel is also perfect positioned to access the town, take walks along the waterfront (or anywhere), and soak up the views from a balcony. Our room was small-ish, but sufficiently comfortable. They have the irritating European habit (experienced throughout our trip) of providing you with duvets but not a top / flat sheet - at the height of summer. We could have requested these, but didn't bother, after encountering this issue repeatedly. There was some noise, the soundproofing is not ideal, but nothing that impacted our enjoyment or our sleep. The breakfasts are varied and of good quality, leaving you wanting for nothing. The staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. The balconies give you an awesome view, but aren't covered and don't have awnings so you cook in the afternoon sun after a while, depending on time of year.

All in all, so-so. Pros: - Central location in the old town by the sea - Good harbour views of you choose the relevant room type - Decent breakfast, good variety - Friendly and polite waiters in the restaurant - Clean rooms Cons: - Poor price/quality ratio, I wouldn't consider it as 4 stars hotel - No luggage room, it's weird for "4 stars" hotel, and customers have to leave their belongings by the reception - Some ladies at the reception should be trained properly. I understand that it's Balkans after all, and familiarity is pretty widespread here, but you accommodate mostly foreign tourists according to my observations - No kettle/tea/coffee in the room I would recommend booking another 4/5 stars accommodation while you are in the centre of Piran.

Beautiful location. Good service. Only complaint is that the room was not soundproof. We could hear our neighbors’ music and late night conversation quite clearly through the connecting door. Great rooftop bar with an amazing sunset view.
