We stayed at this hotel in St. Moritz in March with my husband and our son, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The hotel is very clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were great. We had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms during our time there. The newly renovated room was luxurious, spacious, and beautifully designed—it felt like a real treat. The older room, while quite large and with a stunning mountain view, did feel a bit dated, but we understood the hotel is in the process of upgrading all rooms, and it’s great to see that work in progress. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety, and everything throughout the hotel was well maintained and welcoming. What truly sets this hotel apart, and the reason we are giving it five stars, is the exceptional way the staff handled a personal emergency we experienced during our stay. They were incredibly supportive, kind, and went out of their way to accommodate us—extending our stay, offering another room at the same discounted rate, and making sure we had everything we needed during a difficult time. It’s in moments like these that you truly see the value of good hospitality. While the second half of our trip was personally challenging, the staff’s support and care made a huge difference. It was not just good service—it was genuine kindness, and for that we’re very grateful. If we return to St. Moritz, we will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run hotel with heart. Thank you again to the entire team for everything you did for us.

Hotel reception was still undergoing renovation whilst we visited at the end of May 2025. Rooms are compact and our room had been fully renovated to a good standard, and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. A good breakfast was served in their pizzeria restaurant Ricardos. We paid an additional fee to park, which is in the Lidl underground car park on the road directly behind the Hotel Piz. Beware the access from the basement for car is particularly narrow on the corners as you go down and come up the floors.

We found this hotel through Agoda, we booked at the best price. It was the cheapest one in St. Moritz if you compare it with the rest of the accommodations listed on booking platforms. And because of the low price, we did not expect much of this hotel. Until we got to see the two-bedroom we booked for the 4 of us. I loved everything about the room - the space, the flat screen TVs, the bunk bed, the queen bed, the two bathrooms, and the plenty of full body mirrors. It was beautiful and the staff were informative. It's close to my newest favorite bakery, restaurants, Coop, and the bus stops right outside the hotel. It is very accessible. They are renovating their big restaurant at the front, and that will be super convenient for their guests.

Very happy overall with our stay here. Our room was roomy other than the bathroom and shower were a bit tight. However, our travelling friends had a more spatious bathroom set up with a large shower. Hotel was under construction during the off season time we were there (May) but that only means they are a success. Price was very decent for St M.

Look the description and the reality. I booked a standard double room for 284 € per night, advertised as 20 m² with bright, spacious photos. In reality, I was given a cramped, dark, tiny room where I could barely open my suitcase. When I raised this with the hotel, they explained that I should have run around immediately to complain and solve it on the spot. They told me that since the room was “clean,” I should basically be grateful - as if next time, only if there was trash on the floor, then a refund might be considered. They completely ignored why the actual room looked nothing like the published photos or why such a small, uncomfortable space cost 284 € per night. Instead, they pushed the responsibility onto me for not chasing staff about the problem right after arrival. Extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and a total mismatch for the price.

When I checked in the lady was very helpful and happy she located the room for me and then offered me parking at a discounted price as I was on a motorcycle and had just ridden 960 miles. When I checked out the lady who was a different lady was very arrogant and rude as when she told me the price I explained that the lady who checked me in offered discounted price for parking with the motorbike she rudely said no why are you different and said the price and pay now! Due to the rudeness of check out I will never stay here ever again and would suggest the same to everybody who stays here in future

This hotel is a total scam. They used a filter on the first photo you see, but in reality, everything is scratched up and in disgusting condition. The smell is unbearable—I had to hold my breath every time I entered. That's because it's literally located inside an old, stinky pizza place that reeks of old, reused oil. The walls and carpets have absorbed that smell. The hotel managers deny it, which means they have no intention of doing anything about it. We paid $500 a night, which is not cheap, and there are plenty of better options for that price in St. Moritz. They refused to give us a refund, but they did offer an upgrade. However, their "best" room was the worst we've ever stayed in. Check out the photos they posted compared to the real ones of scratched-up furniture. The ski room is a joke. On our last day, I found a cockroach in the bed—probably from the pizza place. They're denying and lied to our faces, and they will keep doing it in the comments, because they’re trying to scam you and get your money. This hotel completely ruined our stay in St. Moritz. It's unsafe, and we’ll be reporting it to the health department for inspection.

Very expensive €400, but I got a fairly big and nice room. Would have wished an adapter for electricity so a german-swedish plug could have been connected. In my previous swiss visit it could be connected into swiss outlet, but now the holes were too small. The reception is extremely small and the receptionist must be asked to come thru a phone call. The restaurant has proper italian pizzas of good quality.

Yelp
This time of year it's not so busy in St. Moritz - but this did not stop this place to function perfectly. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The rooms we go were spacious and clean. The hotel is close to the lake - we took the opportunity to walk around it at this beautiful day. For us it was a perfect start in a long weekend...and now we hop on the Glacier Express to enjoy the Swiss mountains.

Yelp
To Whom It May Concern, I normally do not write reviews unless there is an absolute need. With Hotel Piz, I feel that I have to inform people of the mishap that happened here concerning damaged property. I acknowledge that I should not have left my iPad out. I usually lock this up, but somehow I forgot while going to breakfast. Meanwhile, everything else was locked up in my suitcase. The cleaning crew came in to service the room. When we got back from breakfast, my iPad was lying on the floor next to the nightstand. Once I examined it, I found that the iPad was fine. However, the Logitech keyboard that attaches magnetically to the iPad was broken. It no longer attaches, therefore leaving the iPad unprotected as well. I immediately went downstairs to report it to Angelina, the manager on duty. She said she would talk to the cleaning crew and call me back. What response do you think occurred with the cleaning crew? As expected, Angelina called me back later in the evening to say that the cleaning crew denied damaging the iPad keyboard. Surprise surprise. She said it was their word against ours and that she could not accuse them of lying. Well, I am most definitely accusing them. Hence, the review. Customer Service is not Europe's strong point. As an American, I believe I would have received better service in the states. In this particular instance, Hotel Piz did not apologize or provide any kind of peace offering. Keep in mind, that the workers in St. Moritz are not necessarily from Switzerland. Therefore, I am not saying it is a Swiss mentality. Most of them are from other countries. Either way, I feel that I should warn others about this hotel. Should you leave anything out, do not expect anything from the staff. Hotel Piz is not a high end hotel with no help with activities that you would find at other luxury brands. I would avoid this hotel as it is not up to par with standards. Yelp
This is a nice modern hotel. Our room was well furnished, modern, nice, clean, quiet. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. However, we had a terrible experience with staff once - they exhibited totally unprofessional behavior with one of their senior staff yelling and screaming at a guest. They also took issue when we were running late in the morning, not letting me and my wife have breakfast separately, stating that we could not eat separately and had to eat together. The breakfast variety itself was good. The pizzas were also decent.
