Excellent Stay. Nothing to complain about here! On the journey to the hotel my daughter had read some not so great reviews. I was prepared to be dissapointed. Everything was fantastic from smooth check-in, helpful staff. We had room 113 which was a family room. It felt like we were the first people in this room it was spotless and brand new. Bedding was new. Big double bed for our daughter, choice of pillows and very spacious room. Lovely view and 2 Bathrooms, great shower and underfloor heating in both bathrooms! Warm and cozy. Absolutely nothing to fault. Ricardos restaurant was superb and very popular, pizza the best we have eaten and pasta was lovely too! Nice Bar area with sports tv and music videos. Common areas could do with a refurb but perfectly adequate. Bus into centre right outside hotel, town 2 stops away. Co-op and Lidl 3 min walk. Beautiful bakery next door to hotel. 10 min walk to lake St. Moritz and Train Station. Do not get stung by taxi from train station its an easy walk. Centre is also 15min walk. Overall perfect stay for 2nts. We are typical 5* travellers but I would stay here again without hesitation! Great little hotel!

I stayed one night at his hotel after completing a Glacier express trip. This was easily the worst hotel I stayed during my trip to Switzerland. I paid a rate for a five star hotel room (over $800/night)). It was actually more expensive than 5* hotels I stayed in Lucerne, Geneva, Basel and Bern. . There was NO hot water past 10pm. The entrance and access to the elevator is through a dark and smelly (mixture of cigarettes and kitchen odors) corridor. . Nobody was picking up the phone when I tried to call and complain about the water. There is no fridge in the room. This felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Hugely overpriced for the amenities. I would avoid.

This hotel is a total scam. They used a filter on the first photo you see, but in reality, everything is scratched up and in disgusting condition. The smell is unbearable—I had to hold my breath every time I entered. That's because it's literally located inside an old, stinky pizza place that reeks of old, reused oil. The walls and carpets have absorbed that smell. The hotel managers deny it, which means they have no intention of doing anything about it. We paid $500 a night, which is not cheap, and there are plenty of better options for that price in St. Moritz. They refused to give us a refund, but they did offer an upgrade. However, their "best" room was the worst we've ever stayed in. Check out the photos they posted compared to the real ones of scratched-up furniture. The ski room is a joke. On our last day, I found a cockroach in the bed—probably from the pizza place. They're denying and lied to our faces, and they will keep doing it in the comments, because they’re trying to scam you and get your money. This hotel completely ruined our stay in St. Moritz. It's unsafe, and we’ll be reporting it to the health department for inspection.

This property is under construction. Room balcony had construction wrap and scaffolding. Workers start making noise at 7:00 am. They would smoke and talk outside the balcony. One worker even tried to enter the room. Automatic shade did not work in the children’s room only curtains. Construction materials were on the elevator. The door handle hardware was broke. When we complained. They apologized for the construction and blamed it on the top floor owner.

Overall it is hard to give a positive review as Hotel piz has nothing to rave about. To be fair though, the location is ok with direct buses from either St Moritz or Samedan station. The breakfast provided also average. Firstly, the hotel is hidden inside a rundown pizzeria and sleazy pub. When we ask the service staff for help, they don't even bother to smile at you and have a "either you take it or leave it attitude".. The room has this constant loud vacuum like noise (not sure is it fron the heat generator but the room was still cold in winter? Will appreciate warm floor in winter..) and also a lot of noise from the street side. (Suggest to work on soundproof walls).. Other than mineral water provided on the 1st night only, there are no safe, no fridge / mini bar. The one pillow provided is 90% air and 10% pillow only. All in all we will not think hotel piz deserves 3 stars, although we are not going back again in our lifetime but for our conscience, we hope future customers can see this review and think twice before booking this hotel as the price paid is more expensive as you think and definitely not worth the money at all.

Building is being renovated a man walked by our window in the morning on the scaffolding, which we were expecting. And there was mold along the ceiling that you could only see from the top bunk bed. Breakfast was good, staff was nice.

The hotel seems recently refurbished, so everything felt new and fresh. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning. A highlight was the amazing pizza at Riccardo's restaurant downstairs – definitely a must-try! Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay between two train journeys. The room and ensuite are really tiny but functional. The location is good as the number one bus from the St Moritz train station stops right outside the hotel. Ricardos, their pizzeria, offers good Italian fare. There is a Co-op and other stores nearby. About 5 minutes walk takes one to the beautiful lake.

Yelp
This time of year it's not so busy in St. Moritz - but this did not stop this place to function perfectly. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The rooms we go were spacious and clean. The hotel is close to the lake - we took the opportunity to walk around it at this beautiful day. For us it was a perfect start in a long weekend...and now we hop on the Glacier Express to enjoy the Swiss mountains.

Yelp
To Whom It May Concern, I normally do not write reviews unless there is an absolute need. With Hotel Piz, I feel that I have to inform people of the mishap that happened here concerning damaged property. I acknowledge that I should not have left my iPad out. I usually lock this up, but somehow I forgot while going to breakfast. Meanwhile, everything else was locked up in my suitcase. The cleaning crew came in to service the room. When we got back from breakfast, my iPad was lying on the floor next to the nightstand. Once I examined it, I found that the iPad was fine. However, the Logitech keyboard that attaches magnetically to the iPad was broken. It no longer attaches, therefore leaving the iPad unprotected as well. I immediately went downstairs to report it to Angelina, the manager on duty. She said she would talk to the cleaning crew and call me back. What response do you think occurred with the cleaning crew? As expected, Angelina called me back later in the evening to say that the cleaning crew denied damaging the iPad keyboard. Surprise surprise. She said it was their word against ours and that she could not accuse them of lying. Well, I am most definitely accusing them. Hence, the review. Customer Service is not Europe's strong point. As an American, I believe I would have received better service in the states. In this particular instance, Hotel Piz did not apologize or provide any kind of peace offering. Keep in mind, that the workers in St. Moritz are not necessarily from Switzerland. Therefore, I am not saying it is a Swiss mentality. Most of them are from other countries. Either way, I feel that I should warn others about this hotel. Should you leave anything out, do not expect anything from the staff. Hotel Piz is not a high end hotel with no help with activities that you would find at other luxury brands. I would avoid this hotel as it is not up to par with standards. Yelp
This is a nice modern hotel. Our room was well furnished, modern, nice, clean, quiet. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. However, we had a terrible experience with staff once - they exhibited totally unprofessional behavior with one of their senior staff yelling and screaming at a guest. They also took issue when we were running late in the morning, not letting me and my wife have breakfast separately, stating that we could not eat separately and had to eat together. The breakfast variety itself was good. The pizzas were also decent.
