Hotel Plaka

Stayed here for two night. The room was perfect. Very comfy bed , good shower and the view of the Acropolis was amazing. |Breakfast was adequate, hot and cold dishes. |The roof top bar was stunning. We had a meal here on last night, the food was very good as were the sangria cocktails. |The staff were also very good, in all departments. |Took us about 15/20 minutes to walk to the Acropolis, we walked slowly due to heat. |We used the hop on hop off bus which we enjoyed. |Plenty of shops bars,restaurants in this area. All on your doorstep.

A great hotel with a central location for all of the major sites of Athens. Lots of bars, restaurants and shopping all within minutes of the hotel. Rooms are perfect for a short stay. Hotel team are excellent, they really could not do enough to help, guide or recommend where and what time to go see the glorious sights of Athens. An awesome hotel in the centre of Plaka.

This is the best hotel in Plaka and is conveniently located in the heart of all the action. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms are of decent size. We even had a room with a bath which was fantastic. The rooftop restaurant is sensational with amazing views of the acropolis and the food and service was fantastic. Breakfast had a great range of food especially if you require gluten free options.

Great location - close to Acropolis, shopping and dining. The rooftop has an amazing view of the Acropolis, and we even had a partial view from our room. The staff was very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable. Would recommend!

Excellent location and good value for money. There’s two supermarkets around the corner which was handy to buy bottled water and milk for the room. A 2 minute walk takes you to several tree covered restaurants and a 5 minute walk takes you to several restaurants and the Monastiraki Plaza where you can catch the Open Top bus tour. There are two lifts. Our first room had a balcony overlooking the street - it was a good size with an excellent AC. There was a mini fridge which was good to keep your water cold and a kettle with a minimum supply of tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable and had a top sheet. The bathroom was a good size, the vanity unit had space to keep your toiletries, a walk in shower with good pressure. Our second stay room had a view of the Acropolis, no balcony, the AC was not efficient and the bathroom small, good shower pressure.|There is a rooftop bar and restaurant with an amazing view of the Acropolis. Booking the restaurant is essential, the service is very attentive and friendly and the food is excellent!|Highly recommend this hotel!

It is fair to say that Plaka Hotel is a bit dated and tired but there are SO many positives that that can be quickly over looked. The location is AMAZING....so handy to everything...shops, cafes, market, hop n and off bus etc AND situated right under the Acropolis !! The rooms are a bit tired and basic but clean, safe and comfortable. Breafast is included and offers a lovely selection. The Roof Top Bar and Restaurant are standouts and in a different class to the rest of the hotel...a much more modern upmarket feel. We loved the views. Service in the Restaurant was outstanding and the meal delicious. All in All I would highly recommend Plaka Hotel.

Spent 4 nights here in July, with welcomed aircon in the Greek Summer. Super centrally located. You can walk to anything you need. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Easy walk to the Acropolis, of which you can also view from the roof top bar. Biggest highlight though was the staff who couldn’t be any more helpful. They were so great, Eva in particular is very switched on. Ask for her if you need anything at all.

Perfect location next to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, tourist attractions, hop on hop off bus, breakfast included. Quaint safe boutique hotel with wonderful service, spacious room-we chose a room with a beautiful view of the acropolis. Amazing restaurant with stunning acropolis views, food and service. (We ate here two nights in a row it was so fabulous). Look forward to visiting and staying here again!
