Hotel Playa Caribe

This hotel is a reasonable value, very safe and comfortable, and on the beach. If you don't mind a bit of "quaint" and want good value, this is the place for you. If you need **** or *****, look elsewhere. The hotel was clean and quiet. The pool is very well maintained and the grounds impeccable. There is secure parking and a small restaurant associated with the hotel. Breakfast is basic, and is included in the room price. There are cooking supplies n the room. The staff is attentive ad willing to help - though often slow in actually helping. We had a two bedroom unit and were on the outside - therefore overlooking the beach. That was great - most units are further from the water and face each other across the well maintained courtyard. A reasonable value - we got a 25% discount. Hotel has wifi in the rooms, by the pool and on the beach.

The hotel is obviously not 5 stars. But quality vs price is really good. For 4 people at 1 room is only 100 dollars including breakfast. The view from the restaurant is all you need. Absolutely I would come back again. The staff is very nice and the security guy at night take care of us while we were at the beach under the moonlight and the stars taking a bottle of wine. I would give 5 stars just because of quality vs price. PS: this is the view from the restaurant.

A three star hotel. Clean place. The staff is friendly. The included breakfast is something you should not rely upon. The beach is right across the road. The bar, located on hotel's ground, opens in the evening and you may have a dinner or a drink there (COZY!). |The furniture should be checked. Some chairs in the rooms are not safe to sit on. The sofa in the room should be replaced (ripped and smells). The TV was nice and you may charge your devices off it. The WIFI signal was weak and only worked well near reception.|Overall the hotel is very friendly for couples or families with children. But buck up your Spanish, very few speak English.

This hotel was ok. Staff was nice, but the hotel is lacking. The AC was really good, beds were decent, room was clean.They provided a small and flat soap, 1 for 4 of us. Parking there is a nightmare, barely 4 spots for the entire hotel.

NIce location, just cross the street and you are at the beach. Rooms a a bit dated but are clean. The rooms are kept clean, but the best feature of the hotel is the staff and how nice the treat you. ||The breakfast is disgusting with the same toasted bread and too sad eggs, everyday of your stay, the same sad breakfast,

Oh my!|We rented a two bedroom apartment. And one bedroom unit from 1/2-4. We were eating alive. The first night we dint think of any but the second night we part of our group were bitten. Management must know about this because how could they NOT. Two diff rooms! Come on!||Other than that breakfast service was slow, we felt as if we weren’t paying for the included breakfast. ||NO HOT WATER. I know is the Caribbean and it’s mostly warm climate but when you take a shower you would like your water to be at least luke warm. Specially for the young children we had in our party... we asked on day one, on day three still NO warm water.|I had to boil and ask for a bucket to mix and shower the kids.||I would not come back!

Great place, friendly staff, spacious room with kitchen. Beautiful View, and beautiful beach. Only a 3 hour $17.50 bus ride from Santo Domingo. If you want to do more than lounge at the beach all day, than rent a taxi, a motor bike taxi or rent a scooter, the town is about 2 miles down the road, and there are a few restaurants and a club right when you get to town.

It's an excellent place for a quick stop throughout the land of Dominican Republic. This location doesn't break your bank and fits the description of what a beautiful hotel near the beach needs. I would definitely recommend it towards anyone up for the trip.
