Hotel Plaza San Francisco

The hotel is just a short walk from the Universidad de Chile metro station (on line 1), and generally a good location for everywhere we wanted to visit. |We stayed for 3 nights in a superior double room on the 7th floor. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower had decent pressure and was hot. WiFi worked well everywhere. Complimentary bottle of water provided each day. |Good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast. We also ate in the restaurant one evening, fabulous service and delicious meals. |Pool facilities looked good, but we ran out of time to try them. |Would recommend staying here.

Our room 601 was very spacious with good views. The staff are very helpful and we loved the pianist. Excellent breakfast and food in restaurant and bars was great. Loved the outdoor bit on level 5. Pool was a nice bonus. Location is good|A couple of niggles is that restaurant closes 10pm dead and if you haven't ordered your dessert by then you can't get one. Charge for tea bags in room was a bit silly.

I spent 2 nights here after returning to Santiago from Easter Island. I arrived in the middle of the night since my flight was delayed and the place was all locked up, but they let me in, and I headed to my room. Beautiful room and even though the hotel was in the heart of the historic center didn't hear much street noise.||The whole hotel is very nice with a nice bar and lounge area out in front. ||The included breakfast was excellent with an omelet station and lots of other choices.||Well, situated near the parts of the historic center in Santiago that I wanted to visit on my last day in the city.||Staff was very helpful getting a map for my sightseeing. Setting up a cab for an early morning airport run and a breakfast box to take with me.

I'm from Chile, living abroad, and I arranged a 'Spa Day' as a gift for my mom. I know the hotel from the outside, as it's one of the hotels located in the historical center of Santiago. The reservation staff was exceptionally helpful and patient with my requests. It was my mom's first solo spa experience at 64 years old. After I shared some information about her, the hotel staff – from the receptionist to the spa and restaurant teams – guided her kindly and cheerfully, making her feel comfortable and secure enough to truly enjoy her experience. Even though I've never been to the hotel myself, just seeing my mom's pictures and videos, I knew she was having a beautiful experience. I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Though modern, the interior reminds me of 1930's hotel with its Art Deco inspired interior especially the ground floor seating areas and the exceptional bar. The rooms are spacious, and the food quality of the restaurant was very good.

We had 2 stays at this hotel, the first for 3 days then later a 1 nighter before travelling home. Reception and door staff always good, particularly we witnessed a reception desk chap being very helpful and reassuring to a distressed guest and we were offered help when my husband had his phone stolen from his front pocket. We were aware of the risks but were still caught out near the cathedral and were unable to report at the police station due to long queues of other victims.|Back to the hotel - nice spacious room, bath as well as shower, comfortable bed, convenient location, good breakfast, overall busy, happy atmosphere. Recommended if you go to Santiago

The hotel was lovely and clean in a great location, but communication was difficult due to language barriers and they were very understaffed The breakfast was good and the bar was an added bonus however it was very expensive! On the bright side because of the location you could walk to most bars and eateries

This is an old fashioned 5 star hotel complete with doormen, porters and you get to sit down in an armchair in front of an elaborate desk when checking in. Got a king bed room in the 01 tier facing the main blvd - was told it's an upgrade so more like a suite with sitting area divided from the bedroom by a heavy duty TV stand with shelves. Overall a very nice room except for one thing - the bedroom shares a wall with the elevator shaft so there is a constant faint but very audible dinging sound all day long except for 5-6 hours in the middle of the night. Mentioned this to the staff, am pretty sure other guests must have noted it before but they said they don't know about it. So just keep this in mind. Can't be sure it's the elevator as you don't always hear it when standing in front of them but there is no other explanation. Other than that, the location is excellent, breakfast with egg station offers a huge selection. Service is good - on day of our departure the front blvd was completely blocked to traffic by a citywide demonstration and we would have missed our flight without the hotel's assistance.

Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms at a great price! It felt like a fancy hotel but was actually very affordable!

Loved our stay with Hotel Plaza San Francisco! Definitely would like to stay here again when we visit Santiago. Great service, delicious brekkie, comfortable room, and I loved the sauna! The location is very convenient to Mercado Centrale, Plaza de Armas, Santa Lucia. The hotel has a nice old charm and I enjoyed the live music in the lobby (at the highly recommended restaurant) in the evenings. The gym, swimming pool and sauna are indoors and located on the -1 floor. There are lockers with towels and slippers when you visit the gym, swimming pool or sauna.

Rustic feel, Old world charm, spacious, convenient location in downtown Santiago and within walking distance to many shopping areas, restaurants. Extremely helpful staff. Comfortable room with good beds. The safe in our room wasn't working, we had to call them many times but the maintenance staff couldn't speak or understand English but the staff at reception could. Good breakfast options. They even have an option for coffee and bread only in the lobby if starting the day early. Tried their restaurant for empanadas and drinks - were good. Overall, the stay was pleasant.

Really great hotel in a convenient location. I definitely loved the rustic, old fashion feel of Hotel Plaza San Francisco. the rooms were clean, the beds were large & spacious, and the bathroom even included robes! The fitness room was clean and a pool is included as an amenity. Free wifi is also a major plus for foreigners :) Oh, and free breakfast! And the staff is helpful with suggestions & very friendly. They held my bags for me & my friend for a few days until we actually stayed with them (as per my request) because we were going to hike Patagonia for a few days prior to our hotel stay. The receptionist also helped us book a tour prior to our re-arrival into Santiago, aiding us with a better suggestion & helping us save money! Win-win! One last thing I loved about this hotel was that they had their own private shuttle to the airport & it costed the same amount as a taxi (if not, cheaper because some taxis try to rip you off). A major help for travelers, thank you!!!

Location: right in the heart of Santiago downtown Customer Service: 5 stars+++! They were helpful in every way. They let us leave our luggage at the hotel before we went off to hike in Patagonia. They also arranged a tour for us to Valparaiso & Vina del Mar for our last day there, which picked us up from the hotel and made everything easier. Breakfast: Buffet style, AMAZING food, so much variety AND they have pão de queijo and giant peach slices Rooms: Huge, spacious and clean! Comfy beds. Wifi: FREE

Nice boutique hotel in downtown Santiago. Within walking distance of several restaurants and the subway line. Decent breakfast. Nice indoor pool and fitness center. Live music in the evenings. Very nice waitstaff.

Here for a convention. Very clean lobby and room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Conveniently located t of many shops and restaurants. Free WiFi is a plus too.
