A perfect delightful friendly hotel, cosy, warm and in a perfect spot to explore the old town, our room was lovely and views of the canal and river. Very quiet part of the town. Buffet breakfast included fresh hot foods too. We will certainly return here and highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location in the old city, brilliant staff and a great boutique hotel just as the pictures show. Bedroom was charming, clean and very comfortable. Continental Breakfast was extensive with cooked full english option (we did not try). Would stay again.

THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL! I'm not sure this is even a 4 star hotel. We stayed in the best room. The room was spacious. The bed was very uncomfortable. The upholstery on all the furniture was old and stained (it was rather gross). There was no fan in the bathroom/toilet.... There was no shower in the room only a bath. The ceiling was too low to stand up in the bathtub to take a shower and there was no blind on the bathroom window so half of Gdansk could see you naked. Also as this is a heritage building there was no lift, which means we had to carry our bags to the second floor, this was not a major issue for us, but I would not recommend staying there if you need a place that is accessible. The location was great for us as the hotel was close enough to Old Town to easily walk there but it was in a quiet area. The view from our room was really good too. The main reason for this being a 2 star review, rather than 1 star, was that the lady who managed the place was absolutely lovely and very helpful.

A small, lovely hotel with one negative. The walls are thin. I could easily hear my neighbor. They woke me up at 0200 just by having a normal conversation. No yelling or loud voices but they were still able to wake me up(I am hypersensitive to noise though). There is a small, free, gated parking lot and check-in is easy. The staff are all wonderful and speak English. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable(though 102 is a bit too pink). There is everything a five-star hotel is supposed to have(shoe shine supplies, robes, slippers). My room overlooked the canal with large windows. The bed and chairs were all comfortable. The bathroom is fantastic with a large tub and immediate hot water. Location is great. A short walk to the main tourist area but far enough away to escape the noise. Breakfast is fantastic. Good coffee and a made to order English Breakfast. I would love to stay here again because of so many positives, but noise is a red-line for me so I will find somewhere else next time I am in Gdansk.

Hotel Podewils is an outstanding property. It is a boutique hotel, with only 10 rooms, and has superior quality. They provide a wonderful breakfast buffet and offer hot food options as well. The building was constructed around 1730, so historically it is attractive and wonderful. The rooms (at least ours was) are furnished with beautiful antiques. The lobby is cozy and attractive. All staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a areat location , and rooms have river/canal views, and are quiet. Our bathroom was beautiful, functional, and all marble; hot water without delay. The hotel location is convenient, with short walking to many restaurants and historic sites. The Filharmonia is around the corner. Hotel Podewils is a gem in all ways, and not to be missed. We recommend it highly.

We tried really hard to like this Hotel and paid about 270 usd per room per night. For the price, we expected a five star hotel. Instead there was a long strand of cobwebs above the bed, the carpets under the bed were covered in a thick layer of dust and to make matters worse, the mattresses were sunken concave without any weight on it.||Furnishings were dated and we could have appreciated it if the upkeep was decent. The kettles were covered internally with limes alr deposits which the hotel changed for us but were unable to do anything about the mattresses.||Apart from the hospitable service from one of the receptionists Goscia, there were very few redeeming qualities of Podewils. Breakfast was passable at best.||It was really disappointing in comparison to the other hotels we have stayed at in Poland that cost the same.

The room was really comfortable and even though we were right in the heart of Gdansk it was lovely and relaxed eating breakfast on the terrace. Staff friendly and helpful. Felt a bit like a luxury Manor house in the city! Near to good places to eat and all the museums.

What a fantastic hotel. A real change from the modern chain hotels. The staff are very welcome and helpful. The room was very comfortable with all the facilities required. The hotel is centrally located, only a short walk to the many attractions. We would 100% stay here again.
