Overall, a very good stay. The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming, the location was great, and the laundry service was quick. The room had a minibar, breakfast was included, and it was quiet - perfect for a good night’s sleep. Although the rooms were a bit outdated, they were still comfortable and perfectly fine for a short stay

Location is perfect, directly on the river, park and sport complex is really close, and the city center is walking distance. Rooms are spacious but not so modern even if they're renovated recently. Bed is really comfortable, tho. Service is nice, old-school. Parking is available directly in front of the main entrance, which is really practical. Breakfast is nice, good value for price. The one thing we didn't like was that both nights of our stay were events (weddings or something), and music was a bit loud, you can hear it in rooms.

Haven't slept here but been to the open buffet dinner. It is really good value, paid €10 for all you can eat. The atmosphere is nice, near the river and a bridge.

Worst "welcome" ever! After 11 hours of driving through Montenegro's road madness (i.e. heavy, heavy traffic all the way through the sea road) we arrive at the hotel. There is no single free space on the parking and I stop the car in front of the reception just to get off my luggage. In an instant a security gay is yelling at me that this is not a parking spot for the hotel and I cannot stay there even for a second. And we chose the hotel for its location and free parking... The girl at reception pretends she does not understand me and offers us a voucher for 20% discount at a nearby restaurant - at 23h in the evening.... thanks, but no thanks! Total disappointment from both this hotel in particular and Montenegro as a whole. Rooms seem nice and spacious, but apart from this I'm totally disappointed from staff's attitude.

Hotel Podgorica is a landmark in the city, well known for its unique architecture and historical significance. It is a hotel that many people recognize and recommend, and I was truly looking forward to experiencing it. Unfortunately, my stay was extremely disappointing. During my visit, the hotel hosted a wedding reception inside the property. What should have been a hotel stay turned into the feeling of being inside a concert hall. The music was unbearably loud, echoing throughout the entire building, and it was impossible to rest or relax. This was not just a minor inconvenience — it was completely disrespectful to the guests staying there. The situation became so intolerable that we had to request to leave the hotel late at night, around midnight. Thankfully, the staff authorized our departure, but this was not the experience one expects from such a reputable establishment.

We booked Hotel Podgorica expecting a comfortable 4-star experience. Unfortunately, this hotel may have earned that rating 20 years ago, but it no longer lives up to it.||The room was in poor condition – cracked and dirty bathroom fixtures, mold in the shower, peeling walls, exposed wiring, broken toilet buttons, stained carpets, and visible signs of neglect throughout. Cleanliness was clearly not a priority. Even the towels looked old dand did not smell fresh, which was deeply unpleasant.||The noise was unbearable. The patio—supposedly the highlight of the hotel—was constantly booked for loud events, with music blasting until 3:00 AM. Since the hotel is small, and our room was right next to the patio (as most rooms are), it was impossible to sleep. We were never able to access or enjoy the patio ourselves because it was closed in order to prepare for events or the events themselves.||The breakfast was mediocre at best, with limited options.||We ended up not staying in the room for two nights out of the three we booked, despite paying in advance, and eventually released the room early. The hotel staff at reception refused any refund due to upfront payment.||On a positive note, the AC was working well and the location is very convenient – just a 5–10 minute walk to the city center.||We moved to another 4-star hotel in the area, and the difference was night and day – clean, quiet, modern, and professionally run. It really highlighted how far behind Hotel Podgorica has fallen.||We do not recommend this hotel unless major renovations and policy changes are made. It is simply not worth the price or the rating it claims.

We visited the restaurant, and it was very good. Beautiful view of the Morava River. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would gladly return.

The room 229 has ants. The only thing why it's not 5 stars. The room is big, nice, has beautiful terrace, the location is great, the breakfast is great. Get rid of the ants please. :)
