Hotel Pollinger in Meran

Lovely hotel. My husband broke his elbow the second day and the staff were very friendly and supportive. Great breakfast with fresh orange juice! Also the dinner was great. Real 4 star hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Pollinger and could not recommend it more! We picked Merano because we both love nature & walking and there are literally hundreds of beautiful nearby trails to choose from. The guys at reception were so lovely & helpful and recommended some fantastic options including treks from Lana and Saltaus. After a long walk in the heat, a dip in the pool was a welcome relief and we never struggled to find a comfortable sunbed. We didn’t use the indoor pool or sauna but it looked beautiful and spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel. Fresh towels were available every day free of charge. We had a room overlooking the pool with a great view and a balcony that caught the evening sun. In terms of food, the breakfast selection was incredible with a fresh orange juice machine and gorgeous cappuccinos! We ate dinner in the hotel five out of the six nights and I could not get over how amazing the food was! As a vegetarian I often struggle to find anything other than pizza & pasta in Italy but this was not the case in Hotel Pollinger! The food was incredible and every night the chefs produced a new delectable masterpiece so a huge thank you to all of you! I am so grateful :) It’s a 5 course menu every night, finishing with a gorgeous dessert and cheese selection so bring your stretchy pants! Finally, I could not finish this review without a special thank you to Marilyna (please excuse my spelling!) who is a absolute superstar and helped us and befriended us from Day 1. We stayed for 6 nights and had a nice room on third floor with a great balcony and amazing view. It is a laid back, family run business who look after you with a sense of personal care. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terrace and drinks in the bar or the lounge area, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was a bit monotonous after 6 days, we would have liked a bit more variety, but this is only a small thing. The pool area is lovely and we spent time sunbathing and swimming or just relaxing in the gardens. It is a 10 minute walk into Meran or you can take their bikes to get around. We would highly recommend.

A most enjoyable family holiday at Hotel Pollinger. The rooms were spacious and immaculate as were all parts of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast provided was excellent and if wanting to dine in for the evening meal the set menu was generous in portion and reasonably priced. Both the indoor heated and the outside pools like the other parts of the hotel were immaculate. There is ample parking. The hotel appears to be very popular with German speaking guests but the staff have a strong knowledge of several languages including English. Although not a short walk from the city the hotel is strongly recommended.

Fantastic hotel! The whole vibe, interior and decorations completely match expectations from pictures and price level. Service was excellent and you always felt like a valued customer. Breakfast was really good and matched expectations. Would love to stay again next time visiting Meran.

Stayed here for one night following several great reviews. Great location to walk into town (10 mins.) Friendly and personal welcome by the owner Frau Huber. Fine underground parking, impressed by the automatic doors that open when you have your hands full. Nicely decorated hotel in warm colors, no clutter. Rooms are spacious with balcony and beautiful view of surrounding mountains. Super comfy beds. Free wifi, but not very fast. Nicely stocked mini bar. This hotel is clean and maintained with great attention to detail. Everything works and seems very durable and in matching color scheme...well done! Six course dinner for 23 -25 Euro p.p. on the veranda was an absolute delight and amazing value. Perfect service that welcomes you and greets you by name. Overall nice wine selection with many local wines to accompany dinner. Same goes for the breakfast which had a wide assortment of fresh fruits, pastries, tea's and breakfast delights, again a great start to the day on the outside terrace overlooking the outdoor pool. Would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the spa facilities. We will be back again. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay with wonderful staff. We went for one night and stayed two as it was so relaxing by the pool. The food was great ( especially the pasta!) and we really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Recommend a stop if you are in merano and want to decompress.

Hotel Pollinger is a home away from home. We spent 2 weeks here with family and friends and felt welcome from the first second we parked the car. The whole family Huber and their team are doing an awesome job and ensure that all personal needs and requirements are taken care off.This started with a breakfast suitable for food allergies and ended with tips for all kind of walks and trips around the beautiful Meran area. Hotel facilities are very modern, clean and spacious (loved my balcony and the hotel's terrace). The garden is beautiful and quiet, the pool area and the sauna/spa area very clean, modern and relaxing. Last but not least: the Gourmet dinners (with up to 6 courses) prepared and cooked by Mr. Huber and his team were most delicious, fresh and a real treat throughout our vacation. I can definitely recommend the hotel Pollinger and will come back! Thanks to the "Team Huber" and their friendly staff!
