Hôtel Polonia Palace – Warsaw’s Timeless Elegance Standing proudly on Aleje Jerozolimskie since 1913, the Hôtel Polonia Palace is a living piece of Warsaw’s history – one that has survived wars, witnessed revolutions, and still welcomes travelers with the same grace it did over a century ago. The lobby is a feast for the eyes: marble floors, ornate chandeliers, and art nouveau details that beg to be photographed. This is not just a check-in; it’s stepping into a story. Rooms are spacious, stylish, and perfectly balanced between modern comfort and old-world charm. Large windows flood the space with natural light, offering stunning views over the iconic Palace of Culture and Science – especially beautiful when illuminated at night. For photographers, the Polonia Palace is a playground. From the sweeping staircase to the delicate ceiling mouldings, every corner has a frame-worthy angle. Even the in-house restaurant, Strauss, presents dishes as artfully as they are plated – ideal for food shots. The location is unbeatable: a short walk to Warsaw’s Old Town, Łazienki Park, and the city’s top museums, while also being right across from the city’s bustling central station. Photolator Tip: For a truly cinematic shot, photograph the hotel’s grand façade at blue hour, when the warm interior lights create a perfect contrast with the deep twilight sky. The Polonia Palace isn’t just a place to stay – it’s an elegant chapter in Warsaw’s story, waiting for you to capture it. Photolator will have to send the 2 photographers again to include the Hotel in our next Travel Guide.

This is based on my visit in June 2025. Polonia Palace is a hotel with a classic style and interior. The hotel is very centrally located and has a short distance to both shopping, restaurants, nightlife and public transport. The rooms are a good size and I think it is perhaps the quietest hotel room I have ever had. The breakfast has a very good selection of both hot and cold dishes. They have an eggs to order station and very good coffee. Recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel - every friendly staff and great service. Convenient location for the central station and public transport within the city. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped. They offer a discount in the bar if you don't have your room serviced during your stay. The breakfast is very good indeed and the cocktails in the bar are excellent.

Spent 3 nights here recently and have to say it was extremely clean, comfortable and welcoming. Location is really handy for the railway station and the old Russian building which is the most significant building the area. Otherwise it is a gentle walk of about 45 minutes to the old (new) part of the City. First impressions are extremely good, with a splendid reception area and really nice, professional & friendly staff. Rooms are a good size with nice comfortable beds, although they are a little austere and could do with a bit of an update (some USB sockets would be an idea). Bar area is nice; efficient staff and cold beer! Breakfast is excellent - absolutely everything you could imagine, all very tasty and good quality. Would return.

We only spent two nights at this hotel but it was much nicer than what I typically stay at. Guest rooms and their bathrooms were large. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The included breakfast buffet selection was extensive including omelets made to order, oatmeal, a selection of hot and cold items along with fresh fruit such as cherries.

Was here for a business meeting (in the hotel itself).||The room was fantastic and comfortable to rest in after a long day of workshops. All amenities, including toiletries are complete (some of them you have to ask from the front desk) and satisfactory.||The breakfast was fantastic and had good selection which is not common for European boutique hotels.||The meeting rooms where we were in were satisfactory and even had snacks and coffee available for the duration of the workshops.||Location-wise, the hotel was near a lot of restaurants within 10-20 minute walking distance and also near to the metro stations.||Nothing to complain about and would recommend to friends/contacts.

After an absence of 6 years, it was a pleasure to return to this hotel with the grand feel. But sadly, while the hotel is still outstanding in several areas, I no longer feel that it is special for me. Its not just the inevitable changes that were necessary to survive the covid years. |Many of the experienced reception staff and the wonderful concierge (a solid giant gentleman) are no longer at the hotel. The current staff and concierge are helpful and polite but in a very businesslike way. They are very young and hopefully learn to develop the important personal rapport with long term guests.|Vodka is no longer offered at the once sumptuous buffet breakfast. While still offering a wide range of foods, the quality varies between items. Staff were at times overly quick to clear tables when guests had not yet finished their meals. Some items were not replenished but replaced by other items.|The restaurant is now closed and all lunch and dinner meals are served in the lobby bar. I had enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant but have noted that it was not well patronised even then. |There are still a lot of good things at the Polonia Palace that makes for a comfortable stay. Hence the 4 star. I would recommend this hotel and will return on my next visit to Warsaw. I am hopeful the hotel will regain the 5th star in time to come.

Yelp
I could have given them 5 stars if we got Wi-Fi connection yesterday, totally NOT their fault! Other than that, our room was clean, modern, the rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, the showers are great, everything there are great, everything we needed, it's right there. My pillows, too flat, I used dh's pillow, and no matter, I was tired, and had no problem falling to sleep, AND I even took a power nap during the day PLUS I had chocolate tart with raspberry sauce for our 3rd course meal. The view, right out front, we could have the higher floor, we're on a tour, but I'm happy were here and learning so much about Warsaw just being here. This place? Was completely razed by the Germans, after World War II. Can you believe that?

Yelp
This is a very expensive hotel with bad housekeeping service. After two days I had to beg for toilet paper (rough toilet paper at that). I left the empty toilet paper cardboard on the sink to leave the hint. No wash cloths, unless you ask (only the USA customers must use these). I asked for an accessible room because I'm disabled. My reservation through Hotels.com never stated I needed this room. Luckily, there were three A rooms available when I checked in after 10pm on Monday for a 4 night stay. Third day on the same sheets, which have not been changed, I put a mark on them to verify. I could expect that from a budget hotel but not here! Their buffet breakfast (additional fee when booked) is quite extensive with quality, healthy choices, including a chef who only makes eggs four ways. Their restaurant staff seats guests at the furthest seats from the buffet, this is a VERY busy restaurant, with close seating and difficult to maneuver through the chairs, even during the week. So you'll end up dodging other guests after fetching your food from all over, something to consider. They have a whipped cappuccino machine that you queue up to make your own small cup of cappuccino. Not all their restaurant staff speaks/understands English. I was somewhat disappointed in the hotel's overall performance. I'd suggest staying at the Marriott, which is right across the street from the Warsaw Centralina (main) train station and massive shopping mall.

Yelp
The main areas are beautiful, always a pleasure to walk in and they have shoe cleaning stations on each floor which I always use as I can help having a play. They have free wifi and the entertainment system is quite good. It is however better to pay 70zl for the whole package so you can watch as many films as you like. The rooms are very clean and nice but each time I've stayed I've had a lot of noise from the corridors which has let it down. The TVs are also tiny and quite far away from the bed. The restaurant and hotel are excellent but expensive for Poland. So lovely if you are a work trip and you can expense a meal. If you can't I would recommend a short walk to one of the many restaurants around. So the hotel is beautiful for noise levels in the rooms and a tiny TV let it down.

Yelp
Yelp review was lower than expected. We actually really enjoyed it. Great location and nice breakfast. We got a room on 7th floor and it was really quiet. We slept very well. Complimentary drink at the bar on first day. Live piano at bar I'm the evening.

Yelp
With a reputation for excellence, an impressive and grand-looking lobby, professional and welcoming staff, and central location, I was excited to stay here. Also, a childhood goal of mine: achieved! The location can't be beat! You are literally across the street from the Śródmieście stops for PKP (trains), metro, SKM line, WKD (trams), and buses; the Pałac Kultury; Złote Tarasy and Galeria Centrum (malls); 4 blocks from the Muzeum Narodowe; and there's at least 3 kebab shops within walking distance. The best part? The street-facing windows have been sound-proofed so the noise is noticeable only if you're listening for it. Check-in was quick. The staff at the reception desk are highly efficient. They give out a coupon for a complimentary drink at the bar, Bojangles. The coupon is valid for the first night's stay. The rooms are of average size, and are able to fit a sleep-inducing king size bed with wooden headboard and crisp white linens. Great view from my room, even though it was only the 3rd floor. The walls are thick, you can't hear much of anything coming from the hallway, and the windows cancel out the outside noise; it can get deafeningly quiet. Ample space in the closet to stuff all your bags in. The flat-screen TV offers both local and international (BBC, CNN) channels for free. I absolutely love the bathroom; from the ornate black marble sink and the contrasting white porcelain tub to the matching chrome fixtures. You must keep a key card in the slot by the bathroom in order to turn on the lights in the whole room. Kudos to the housekeeping staff -- they are sensitive to your needs. For the 3 nights/days that I stayed, they replenished the complimentary bottled water (and chocolate coins) every day. The only thing that made this stay less than ideal was that complimentary breakfast was not included. However, there is a full restaurant located within the hotel and good options within walking distance.

Yelp
I used to travel quite a lot for work so I know my fair share of hotels... well mostly raggidy motels in rather remote places in the US. I was in Warsaw for work and this was the hotel everyone was staying at. It's a pretty big hotel but hear it's not very big compared to some of the other mega hotels in the area. Rooms are nice and modern and typically well equipped with your standard things. The gym is open 24 hours but you will need to get the front desk to access it during odd hours - like 6am. There's not much in the gym, a bunch of weights, 1 treadmill, 1 cross trainer and 1 bike. Suppose it's quite typical with business hotels. I only had breakfast at the hotels and it has a really good variety from sweet to savoury. I really liked the selection of fresh bread as well as the omelette station.

Yelp
This was my second stay at this hotel. The first time I was very happy with my stay. This time I was travelling with my family. When I called I asked if there was a possibility of booking the rooms next to each other, they said yes and that I just need to leave a note during booking. I book two rooms through booking.com. When we arrived we were told by the front desk lady " There are no rooms on the same floor". I was upset and asked to check again since I left the note for the hotel. The lady was very rude. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager said that the hotel is fully booked. I said that I will have to go to a different hotel. The manager said "You will have to pay anyway". After this she has found my note and said that there are rooms on the same floor but they are "Very far apart" .IT was extremely unpleasant first experience after a long travel. Both ladies were very unprofessional and rude. After this one of the rooms had broken power outlets in the bathroom, no power outlets by the bar where coffee machine was and in the middle of the night the heater was probably broken since it was making really loud noises.
