Hotel Portal del Santo Salta Cafayate

Perfect location close to the square in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the family run business, the beautiful garden and pool. We loved the attention and the freshly baked treats at breakfast. The two brothers will make sure your stay is comfortable.

We enjoyed the 2 nights we stayed but it seemed expensive relative to other places in the area that were similar. The bathroom is very basic as you will find any many areas of Salta. There was plenty of hot water, comfortable bed and AC. We did not use the pool. The breakfast was great and the hosts were very friendly.

This was a great hotel. The brothers Cristian and Damian both speak English and are very friendly and helpful. They recommended a number of excursions and bodegas to us, all of which turned out to be wonderful. The rooms were spacious and clean. We loved the breakfasts with homemade baked goods.

This hotel was one of the best of our holiday. Our room was very nice, clean and large, breakfast was excellent - they even gave us local wine jam, which had a fantastic taste. Staff was nice and helpful, too. The main square can be reached in a few minutes’ walk. Recommended.

We spent two nights in the lovely hotel. Our very spacious room (and all other rooms) overlooked the garden and pool, and beyond that there was a splendid view of the mountains. Cristian & his brother Damián were really helpful, with lots of tips about places to visit. Breakfast was full of homemade items. The room rate was extremely reasonable. We would definitely recommend this hotel. |

Awesome is the best word to describe this small, inexpensive, charming and warm hotel. It is located only two blocks from city center. The owners are there to welcome and make you feel super special. I love this place, the gardens are beautiful and surrounded by beautiful people. A small paradise on Cafayate.

What a find! Well situated on a quiet street just 3 minutes walk from the centre, this hotel has a well tended garden with pool, jacuzzi and DIY BBQ area for the use of guests. Rooms are clean, spacious, simply furnished and overlook the pool. Pool towels supplied.||The owners are two brothers, one of whom speaks good English. They were super friendly and gave excellent recommendations for places to visit, contributing significantly to our enjoyment of Cafayate.||The brothers both cook, so the breakfast bread, jams and cakes were all home-made, always with something delicious, hot from the oven!

Perfect location; quiet yet close to downtown. Just three blocks to the plaza. Comfortable bedding. Lovely continental breakfast.||||Christian and Damien are excellent hosts, always at the ready to provide exceptional service to their guests.
