Hotel Pórtico del Valle

Looked at three places and this one stood out as a friendly little hotel B/B. Lovely young lady on reception, who seemed to do everything actually. very basic but the rooms were quite big and very clean. breakfast was basic as well but all we needed really. Easy place to stay if you want to drive up to see Puenta del Inca. Really worth driving up to see that. Lovely little market up there as well to brouse through.||We ate in a lovely resturante just across the road from the Hotel. Information kiosk was great. They couldn't have been more helpful. Nice little local stall market alongside, not too many stalls but enough just to wet your curiosity. Good supermarket over the road from the entrance, they had everything we needed. Internet shop just alongside. I think we paid $120 [pescos for a double room for the night.That included breakfast as well.||Basic but suited us as a pit stop.

BEDBUGS!!! Very nice hostel, nice garden out back, small but functional kitchen, owners spoke good English ... but it was totally infested with bedbugs. NASTY! We showed the owners and they shrugged and did nothing. So we cleaned up the bedding and took it outside to sleep in the garden, and the owner came and told us we couldn´t because he didn´t want the bedding to get dirty. Understandable. So we left and stayed at another place. The next day we went back because we forgot something, and the owner was helpful in finding it. However we went back into the room and the beds were made up like normal and clearly nothing had been done about the bedbugs. It was obvious from squish marks on the matresses and shedded skins and bug poo that it had been infested for quite some time. Again, nice place, but disgusting with bedbugs. I gave the cleanliness a poor instead of terrible because the bathrooms and the rest of the place was nice and clean. Poor for the room quality because they were nice, except for the bedbugs.

We had a nice visit until we realized that our room was RIDDLED with bedbugs! This was educational because we learned the Spanish word for bedbug (Chinches). But it was not comfortable, the proprietor didn't do anything about it, and when we returned the next day, the beds were made up nicely, ready to rent out to the next unsuspecting guests. CHECK YOUR BEDS!!!

Es un hotel sencillo con una muy cómoda cama y una ducha excelente. Deberían mejorar el tema del ingreso de ruidos del exterior, los que tienen el sueño liviano lo sufren. Se soluciona fácil (no barato) vidrios dobles. Pero como se nota que le han puesto unos buenos pesos en reacondicionar, creo, ese sería el broche de gloria. Muy atento y amable el conserje.

Nos alojamos por una noche, para continuar nuestro viaje a Chile y todo estuvo acorde al precio abonado, y a lo que esperábamos. Muy bueno para ir de paso, para un descanso tranquilo, con instalaciones básicas pero suficientes. Con estacionamiento en la esquina del hotel con media sombra para cubrir el coche. El personal súper amable. Lo recomiendo y volvería.

Estrada na Cordilheira estava fechada pela neve e não foi possível seguir para Santiago, portanto tivemos que ficar 1 noite em Uspallata. Escolhemos esse hotel por causa do preço, 700 pesos arg para um quarto duplo ou 1000 quádruplo. Roupas de cama furadas, edredon com manchas, piso barulhento ao caminhar quase me fizeram desistir, porém chuveiro era bom e os funcionarios super prestativos. |Estacionamento é na rua mesmo ou em frente a farmácia da esquina.|Café da manha muito simples, mas quebra o galho rs. |Tem wifi, mas é bem lento.|Há um elevador apenas para as malas.
