Hotel Portillo Dolomites 1966' S

Portillo Dolomites 1966'S was one amazing experience and we are super-happy that we chose for our ski trip in 2025. Hotel overall looks very nice and clean, has an amazing bar and lounge (we enjoyed it with free welcome drink we've received on our arrival - such a nice touch). Staff was also very nice and helpful. Room was big and very comfortable (we slept very peacefully each night), always super clean and containing all we need. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices to start the day. Spa area is huge and amazing for well deserved rest after full day of skiing... There is also a free shuttle that took us to the slopes each morning and we were able to come back to hotel on skies (it's basically a ski-in hotel and the path to it is very simple to understand and even beginner friendly). Overall experience was truly awesome and we're sure that we'll come back when we visit Val Gardena again. ❤️

We stayed at this hotel for our very first ski holiday with a large group, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The hotel offers a warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms and the fantastic spa area are spotlessly clean and exceptionally well-maintained. After a long day on the slopes, the spa was pure bliss—a perfect place to relax and recharge. In the evenings, the bar area became our favorite cozy spot for games and laughter. The staff’s attentiveness and genuine friendliness made our stay even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our ski holiday! P.S.: The hotel is extremely warm indoors—a slight lowering of the temperature by two degrees would be greatly appreciated.

The accommodations, service, friendly atmosphere, and food offerings could not have been better. We stayed in the Loft with a nice balcony facing the beautiful hills on the opposite side of the ski mountain. Tranquil, quiet, and serene. Best sleep we have had in years. The hotel shuttle to the gondolas were so easy to get. They are scheduled often, but even when we missed one, the driver (sometimes the owner), would hop in to the van and off we went. The breakfast each morning was delicious and had virtually everything you could want. The guests were very nice and willing to strike up a conversation, If you are worried about not being fluent in Italian; not to worry. The desk staff and the restaurant staff are all able to communicate in English, or so it seemed. The picture of the spa and pool area do not do it justice. Absolutely beautiful. You enter the outdoor salt water pool from the inside, so you don't have to feel the shock of the cold air. For those who feel that the number 1 need for a hotel is cleanliness, you will find everything clean, very clean! We are regular travelers and discriminating when it comes to restaurants and hotels and would rate this hotel 5 Stars based on our overall experience. Perhaps it wouldn't qualify for 5 stars based on the strict criteria, but this hotel had everything that we wanted and more. Thank you Oliver and everyone else that made our stay a trip of a lifetime (that we hope to repeat again next year).

The Portillo is a very good hotel. Lovely pools, spa, wellness and gardens. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The provision of gluten free goodies at breakfast was much appreciated.

The hotel is charming and is located in one of the most beautiful places in Italy - Selva di Val Gardena. It is family owned and there is a special attention to guests that comes from that. They were excellent with our kids too and it was extremely easy with their help to find good ski instructors. They are good also with recommendations and generally being helpful. Breakfast was good, rooms were very beautiful and with a gorgeous view. We especially enjoyed the pools - indoors and outdoors. Very much look forward to coming back.

Excellent hotel, we stayed for a week and really enjoyed our time! The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional. The room was super nice to stay, cozy with wooden decorations and pretty lighting, and also practical with a lot of storage space. SPA area is impressive, it is huge, it smells just amazing, and the quality of facilities is 10/10. Also, special credits to the cleaning team, all the facilities in the hotel were immaculate, and everyday cleaning was great. Food wise, breakfast was superb, both in terms of the quality of food and the choice, although, the waiters were a bit grumpy in the morning. We tried the dinner in the hotel once, we were really pleased with the service although the food was not particularly impressive for the price you pay so we preferred dinner options outside. Overall, we had great experience and highly recommend this place!

Provided with robes in the room for the week and towels in a cute little basket that you can take down into the spa with you. Outdoor pool was a really amazing touch. ||Hotel even provides a private shuttle bus to and from the main lifts in selva, again the info given on arrival so you know the times. The team driving guests back and fore done an amazing job. ||Honestly highly recommend this hotel. Would 100% stay again! Rooms are amazing, we had a suite and it was just incredible. ||Thank you Portillo! xxx
