I was only at restaurant so, I cannot say much about hotel or rooms. The restaurant has a good selection of food and drinks so, I recommend it. Also, its location, pretty close to downtown and monastery makes it a good option for accommodation in the city. Good place to organize parties, but unfortunately not too late in the night due to collocation with the hotel, in the same building.

The hotel is partially renovated, offering 3 and 4-star rooms. More accurately, it should be 2 and 3 stars. I paid 350 RON for a 3-star double room. It smells old, stale, and musty. I understand that only part of the hotel is renovated, but I think they could have at least washed the windows in the 3-star section. They are incredibly dirty! The carpentry is at least half a century old, no window closes properly, they creak, and the mosquito net is torn. We will not return to this hotel.

The view is nice, but only if you buy the apartament suit. The Hotel looks nice, it has a playground area, its very close to the Vidraru Dam, but...||The SPA, which you usually come for, it looks nice, but the water is cold. I reported that and they say its 32Celsius and it showed me a broken thermometter. The jacuzzi is lame.||The sauna (wet and dry) are very decent. Works well! ||The breakfest in the first day was rubbish, the Lurpak butter was split. Probably they dont store the food properly. Very cheap breakfest. I got better on 3-star hotels. ||The dinner was nice. Salute the cook! Was very nice. Blows my mind how you can cook amazing food but you put togheter a rubbish breakfest. ||In the night is very cold and the AC is NOT working. You cant lift the temperature higher than 24Celsius. I called the reception and they bring a radiator. On a 4star hotel with high price, you bring RADIATOR? ||I kept comparing the Hotel Posada with Hotel Valea cu Pesti. Both are 4 star on Transfagarasan. Even though the Valea cu Pesti SPA is smaller, the quality overall is better and cheaper. Way cheaper. ||I would book again for Hotel Posada. No! Never!

A very nice hotel positioned well on the main street of the town, a short walk from some good restaurants and the Monasterey. In the process of converting some of the hotel to a 4* hotel (up from 3* previously), and the new rooms are very nice. The new rooms are nicely furnished and the cleanliness was excellent. Loses one star for the breakfast which was lacking in choice, and for a lack of in-room amenities (tea/coffee facilities).

Stayed one night here and it was great. The place smelled nice and clean, has big open lobby, rooms are clean and modern. One thing we didn’t have that our cousin next door did have were slippers included with the robes. The slippers definitely would come in handy because the floors are tile and got a little slippery when I got out of the shower. Also, there’s only one small trash can in the bathroom(which by the way has a towel warmer, yaaayyy), which could be another small one in the room. We had room service and it was reasonably priced as is the room rate. Breakfast is included and the food is great. Great location, minute walk from the monastery where the kings and queens are buried and not too of a long drive from vidraru dam and transfagarasan parkway. I would highly recommend this place and will stay here again.

Hotel was good but parking was full and we ended up having to leave our car on a Disabled parking slot which was uncomfortable although the hotel suggested this!! Breakfast was poor and the quality of the food wasn’t great. Also the juices were terrible. You need a breakfast upgrade!!

I needed a place to crash for a night. I visited the hotel when the whole lobby was under reconstruction but I can say a few things about the room which was very warm, a little too warm form my taste actually, It had AC and TV but I did not try those. I did take a bath. The bathtub was small (I am 184 cm tall) and only my legs could fit inside the tub. The level of the tub was unfortunately too high above the floor so I had to be very careful when entering and exiting the tub or else I might have slipped and injured myself. After I released the water from the tub it simply gushed through the floor drain and it kept gushing until it almost filled the whole bathroom floor. The water form the floor drained only after all water from the bathtub was gone. The taps were in need of a replacement. I did not find the bed comfortable. Price paid for a night was 33 Euro without included breakfast. I would only recommend this hotel for those who are searching for a place to crash for a night.
