Hotel Posada de Don Juan

This is a little late — I thought I has posted this two months ago, though it seems I didn’t.| But I did want to put in a good word for the Posada de Don Juan, where I and my companions spent two nights early last February (2023). The hotel has a great central location (though little in the historic center is all that far from anything else), and it has a sort of old, traditional ambience that goes well with this quaint colonial town. It’s well-maintained, it has a good restaurant, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful -- a good experience, with no complaints. (As there seems to be a little confusion on this site, let me be clear that I'm writing about a hotel in Gracias, not in Santa Rosa, 27 miles up the highway.)

We spent two days in Santa Rosa. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood. We experienced excellent customer service. It was easy to make the reservation, we even choose a room facing the garden. The rooms were cozy and clean. The price included a full breakfast. The Staff was really friendly and professional.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights while visiting our daughter who was spending a year in Honduras. The rooms are comfortable with good showers and A/C. Pool area is great to cool off during the day and enjoy drinks and food. The staff don't speak English but they are all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a good menu and the food we had was excellent. The hotel has secure parking and is situated in the centre of Gracias which is a beautiful small town.

It was ok, water wasn’t working as it should have so I had to wait to use restroom. That was my was only issue The breakfast choices were really good. Family enjoyed

This is a hotel that has very good costumer service. From the reception on to the restaurant we had a great impresion. It had a swimming pool for adults as well for small children. The restaurant has tables not only on the inside but also around the pool area. The food is very well prepared.

If you are traveling to Gracias, do no expect to find fancy or luxury hotels. For the money, this is one of the best options. A small colonial style hotel with very few perks. A small restaurant, limited service, and run down rooms with a very noisy AC. Overall, it was not the best experience but as I said, there aren't many choices in this type of colonial style small towns.

The place is all right and if you stay in gracias not the worst choice. it's clean, the personell is friendly and the rooms are all right. on the downside outside of the windows are the counterparts of the air conditionings and during the night it is very loud! so if you are a light sleeper search another place....

Lovely, cozy hotel with beautiful pool (small) with private enclosed parking. Free breakfast till 9:30am (not buffet) discount passes to "Aguas Termales" 50L per person (bargain) definitely a must! Modern!
