I'm usually "meh" about hotels - I just sleep there and keep moving. But I absolutely loved every minute of my stay here. I spent 5 days here and actually stayed inside the hotel property a lot. The room was gorgeous, spacious, and looked into the gardens. It was very quiet, the restaurant was convenient and good, they held my luggage for me, and every single person I encountered was soooo kind and smiling. Loved the artwork there so much and purchased 2 pieces for myself. Not to mention, it is conveniently located. I will most definitely stay here again.

Stayed here the last few days of a small textile tour, which chose it for us. The hotel was lovely, beautiful old style rooms with heavy antique furniture, bathroom tiny but adequate (remember, they have to work within the confines of the historic building). ||The grounds were gorgeous, and desk/restaurant were friendly and attentive. ||My room had an unusual sort of Dutch door, which opened about six feet up to let air circulate. Very interesting. And the keys are ginormous, heavy iron keys. You’ll need a bag or large pockets to carry it! ||My one and only complaint, it was spring break and young people were running around both the courtyards yelling, and obviously been drinking each of the nights we were there. I would have appreciated if staff would have said something to them. I apologize to them on behalf of PITA college age Americans, because they shouldn’t have to deal with it in the first place, but this was far too nice a hotel and housed too many non-college age kids and family for staff or guests to put up with such nonsense. I’d suggest growing a pair and nipping this bad behavior in the bud. ||Parents, a lot of these were volunteer/mission groups. Know what your kids are up to. Know who’s chaperoning these so-called mission groups. I know they’re of age, but the behavior was atrocious. We saw more than one young lady who could barely walk, in a foreign country, staggering around the square and side streets, with young men holding them up. What are they thinking?

First of all, the service was very good. Only complaint there is after canceling a 4 night stay due to travel issues we were charged an additional 20 dollars a night for the 3 nights we planned to stay. What we didnt like was the room door locks. The keys were huge and it took a few minutes to just unlock or lock the door. Secondly, the matresses and pillows were very thin. Very uncomfortable! Then to make things worse my wife and I were eaten up by mosquitoes. We had the window open because there are no fans or AC in the rooms. We were very uncomfortable. I have slept better on the desert floor and on the side of a mountain. The place is overrated and I would never stay there again! Especially at $216.00 a night. We checked out after the first night.

Just ended a 7 night stay at this absolutely beautiful hotel. The rooms were sparkling clean, the staff extremely friendly/attentive and the location within walking distance to all Antigua shopping and restaurants. We ate three times at the wonderful restaurant located conveniently on the premises and had delicious meals each time. I highly recommend the chicken (hen) soup which is one of our family favorites. Looking forward to returning soon.

3 stars only because i could hear everything from neighboring room, shower, people using toilet, brushing teeth, talking etc. so if you want to have quite sleep nights, good luck with that. service and location is amazing though 🙌. also, our room didnt not have a fan or AC. location is perfect though, but i wouldnt be staying here again just due to no sound proof

Definitely this hotel is located in beautiful premises with a well kept inner courtyard. However there are no safes in the rooms and no air conditioning. Be aware that some rooms are in the upper floor without elevators. The rooms are of a decent size allowing for two suitcases to be opened. There was only one bottle of water for two people. Lightening could be better. Be aware that some rooms have only one window which opens to the corridor where there are passer-bys, restricting privacy. We requested a wake up the first night there and it never happened. After complaining, it was rectified the following day. On the positive side, hot water was abundant in the sink and shower.

The suites are large with a private courtyard.. The bed is comfortable. The view of the garden is beautiful.
