Wonderful hotel with stunning views. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very well looked after. Rooms so clean and quiet. Ate here every night and the food was fantastic, including my husband's lactose free meals. A good location to access the mountains and the coast. Highly recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved our short stay at Hotel Posada. Annelize and Ernest are wonderful owners who provide a warm welcome, and every one of the staff was super friendly. The dinners were fantastic - beautifully presented, varied and delicious. Breakfast was equally generous. The views from the dining room are spectacular. I cannot recommend this lovely hotel highly enough.

Fantastic! Highly recommended! The hotel sits in a beautiful place with an amazing view. The rooms are nice, clean and tidy. The staff and especially the owners are very friendly and helpful. The food is also great! For dinner they offer one menu with an appatizer, soup, salad, main course and dessert. Always freshly made with great products! They also offer a vegetarian variant of the menu! Together with the nice view from the dining room a fantastic experience. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and do some hikes in this area, this is the place.

Absolutely stunning location with beautiful views. The rooms are very basic but tidy and quiet. We opted for breakfast which included a range of organic fruit, tea, bread and spreads. The only issue really was the staff - they seem uncomfortable with guests so there was an unfriendly feel about the place. A shame, and quite jarring after the warmth we experienced in Galicia. And how can a hotel run by English people not include a kettle in the room?! I was dying for a cup of tea the whole time!

The bedrooms are spacious, but without much charm. And a bit noisy at night. And the WiFi is lousy, no matter where you go. Breakfast is so so for the price. However, the peaceful rural setting and the views are stunning. And the staff are friendly and very helpful. And the dinners are absolutely DIVINE. It is incredible how a chef can turn a simple gazpacho (cold tomato soup) or a simple snow pea salad into such amazing culinary delights. Even just for the dinner, we would recommend the place.

Although we only stayed one night it felt like we were on holiday from the moment we walked through the door and a much welcomed icy cold local ale was made available from the bar. Room was clean and had lovely views. The gard ens are beautiful and the terraces have views over to the mountains. We had dinner dwhich was very tasty and portions were jwere the perfect so we can enjoy all four courses. We'll done to Ernest, Annalise and the team in your first season you are doing a great job I wish you the best hopefully we will return soon.

Here’s what you NEED to know: As avid travelers, my wife and I have to say this trip has been a revelation. Asturias is astonishing in its own right, and Posada del Valle Asturias does an incredible job of embellishing the experience. Run in a most personal, service-oriented, yet thoroughly professional way by Ernest and Annelize, this lovely little inn is exactly the escape you need in our currently anxiety-ridden world. If you, like us, are done with just another AirBnB-type vacation, you need this experience of charming hospitality at the hands of gentle, attentive hosts. Here’s what you WANT to know: It is abundantly clear, from the minute you arrive, that this is managed by a family that knows both the basics and the refinements of hospitality. Every aspect has been though of: knowing that we are from New York and on an extended visit, they assigned us one of the larger (Sueve) rooms to help with our rather copious amount of luggage - and as if to underscore the spirit of service, Ernest himself helped us carry our bags up to our room, which was welcome :-)! The breakfast is Continental, which is an adjustment for us, used as we are to large, American-style breakfasts with eggs and bacon ... however, given the generous spread and excellent quality of the buffet, including high-end charcuterie and local artisanal cheeses, we didn't miss any of it! Breakfast done, we were well fortified for the day. One day we did the slightly challenging Covadonga Lakes (Picos de Europa) circuit: two and a half hours of medium-level hiking. Next day, we checked out Ribadesella, a lovely little fishing town less than 30 minutes by car away from the hotel. Both were lovely days, helping us work off the breakfast and rewarding us with a great appetite for dinner. Dinner is an event unto itself - a full, four course meal, creatively imagined, lovingly crafted and attentively served. Full marks, Ernest and Annelize, for making sure our evenings were just spectacular, especially with the special cocktails of the day :-)! One little event just exemplifies their service orientation. I mentioned to Annelize that we needed some laundry done ... and guess what, she suggested she can take it home! That would obviously have been an imposition, so I didn't agree ... but it was sweet nevertheless. All in all, a truly excellent stay, made better by this lovely couple who live - and love - the wonderful art of hospitality.

We stayed for two nights at Posada del Valle Asturias. We can highly recommend staying there for anyone looking for a quiet, clean place with amazing views and even better food and convenient access to the surrounding hiking areas (both Picos de Europa and Atlantic coast). However, most important to mention is the hospitality of Annelize and Ernest!
