All in all, this stay is exactly what you pay for, it is economy lodging, yet still comfortable and has great location. This is a hotel-type stay, meaning housekeeping does come in once a day to make the bed, provide clean towels and mop the floors. The beds were comfortable, and there was a partial view of the beach from the balcony. Customer service was superior, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left , the staff were friendly and helpful with luggage. The air conditioner was super cold, which we appreciated. There are stairs and we were housed in the top floor, there are no elevators so we prepared to get your steps in. Our only real complaint would have to be the bathroom situation: there was a constant foul odor coming from the plumbing, even when we kept the toilet seat down. Also, the water in the shower, took a long time to get warm and would only be warm for a few minutes before turning cold again. Overall we had a good experience.

I'm so disappointed in my last minute decision to book a room at this Hotel! First off there's no indication of the stairs. I was given room 21 thinking it is on the second floor, WRONG! it was on the 4th floor after walking up to the office on the 2nd floor so 4th level! After walking in the room, it REEKED of SEWAGE! I opened all the windows, then couldn't get the safe key to work. After a along day of travel I went to shower and NO HOT WATER! After about an hour they were able to get hot water into the shower. Towels were torn, no hand towels, dishes were dirty, bed was hard-woke up w a sore back, had a hard time sleeping because of the smell of sweage coming up from the drains. TV had some sort of film over it that made it hard to watch. After 2 nights I asked for my money back. I could NOT stay another night!!! SO not worth the $87.00 I paid.

This hotel was perfect for what I like. Bargain price, great location, sparkling clean. It is a simple no frills place, but that is all I need. I even had a balcony where I could see the ocean. I'm sensitive to sound, but slept well here. A lot of Zona Romantica is noisy, but this place avoids the two sources of noise that affect me the most. It is not right on a super busy street, so you do not hear endless buses and trucks. And it is not right next to a club that cranks music all night. Location is amazing literally steps from beach, great cafe's. All in all couldn't be happier as a solo no frills type of traveler.

I have stayed in this hotel many times over many years. The hotel is being managed by Carlos, son of Jose and Lily. The quality of service, and the general vibe of the place is on the decline. My last stay there was probably my last stay. The hot water was erratic, water pressure was low, the accommodations were bare and wanting...all while the prices are going through the roof. I had things stolen that were in storage, and thy were not replaceable. The mgmt could have cared less, even though I had left my things under their care. Service and quality are declining, while the prices continue to rise. The greed of the mgmnt. is apparent.||||There are MANY other nicer and even less expensive places for one to use. I for one am disappointed by the lack of guest consideration, but, it is what it is...time to move on.

I'm no Hotel snob. I don't care what a hotel has or doesn't have as long as it is CLEAN! We didn't have reservations with the hotel, we just happened to walk in. They had a room available, and we ended up staying for 5 nights. It was clean, it was cheap, it's right by the beach, and I plan to visit again VERY soon. It doesn't bother me at all, but it is quite noisy. I think that's just part of being right downtown where this hotel is located and part of the experience. But if you're a super light sleeper, you may take issue with it. This hotel is right next to some amazing restaurants and not far at all from the Malecon. I highly recommend.

I showed up with my family at 7:00pm on Dec 29/2017 after renting a car from the airport and grabbing a cab to transport all 8 members of my family which included 5 grandchildren aged 8-11 years old and their two mother's. I was told that the hotel had no record of my reservation and that they were full. I asked to speak to the owner/manager and was given the phone by the hotel clerk. He just kept repeating over and over that he was so sorry and could not help me and didn't know what to say. I asked him what I was to do with my family that night, " sleep on the beach?". I had booked two rooms on August 12/19 with 5 beds total for the one night which I had an e-mail from the hotel quoting the date, # of beds and price. Hotel Posada Lily had rented them out and now had none for me and my tired family and they were unable and unwilling to help us out. I spent nearly an hour at the hotel not knowing what to do. Finally someone on the street outside near a coffee shop overheard my delema and made a call to a hotel across the square that may have two rooms. I was so grateful that I didn't mind paying the extra cost at that point. I was extremely stressed out and angry at the management at Hotel Lily. I had stayed there many times before and although it is only a 1 or 2 star hotel I enjoyed staying there as it was near the beach and the pier in Old Town. I will never stay there again and would advise anyone thinking of staying at Hotel Posada Lily that their word means absolutely nothing as does any paperwork they give you showing you have a reservation with them. I don't believe that they "lost" my reservation but because it was only for one night and in the middle of Christmas vacation they decided to give it away to a longer booking request or possibly a Mexican group. They can not be trusted!

We didn’t plan on staying at Hotel Lily but because of a problem with our original accommodations we were able to stay at Hotel Lily for two months. The building could not be any more convenient to everything on the southside of Puerto Vallarta. Right at the crossroads of the two major streets in that part of town yet very little noise. I couldn’t figure out how that was the case but it was. The hotel is basically on the beach with only a short walk to the sand. There is not an elevator in this five story walk up but the rooms are spacious the staff is wonderful and if you do not mind missing the “luxuries“ you will like hotel Lilly. Thank you to Carlos and the entire staff for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at Posada Lily March 2017 for 10 wonderful days. We really enjoyed this place. ||||Posada Lily is a small family hotel, with a great staff. Suite #21 was exactly what we were looking for on our 11th trip to Puerto Vallarta. A shout out to vallartainfo.com for the recommendation. ||||We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 PM walked up the flight of stairs to the office, where we were pleasantly greeted, quickly checked in and shown to our room. The 5th floor “top” some 80 steps up from the ground. There is no elevator, so you can plan on burning off some of those food & beverage calories. :) ||||The suite has two full beds, a bathroom which is a combination shower, toilet, sink, and one end of the room is a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave and range. A couple of pans, plates, silverware, cups and a blender. The other end of the room has a large flat screen TV which we chose not to use often and some the best WiFi we have ever had in PV. A great little balcony with a view of the Ocean, Mountains and the corner of Olas Altas & Basilio Badillo topped it off. ||||Excellent maid service, a very clean and comfy room every day. These ladies do a wonderful job please take care of them. ||||There is a court yard on the 5th floor that is used often and can get a bit nosy, it was not a big deal for us and if you are a frequent traveler to the South Side area you already know it can get loud. So bring ear plugs or drink more tequila or both. ||||A big thank to Carlos and his team for a wonderful stay. ||||Jason & Cristal||||Helpful or maybe not so helpful notes:||||-The Lily is a cash only place, so you won’t be charging to your credit card. There is an ATM right around the corner. ||||-There is no pool but the Ocean is less than 80 steps away.||||-Mexican AC “fan” which does a pretty good job as a white noise machine too. ||||-There are interior and exterior rooms on many floors, just ask to see a couple of them.||||-In this general area of PV light sleepers should bring earplugs and a night mask. ||||-Travel light. We did 10 days with our carryon suitcases. We did bring our small soft golf cooler which doubled as my second carryon and kept my cervezas cold on the beach. Speaking of the beach yes the shrimp (camaron) and fish (pescado) on a stick are a great lunch.||||-This Hotel is not for everyone, but it was perfect for us. One of the best little 2 Star 5 Star hotels.||||-If you are in the area check it out. You can look around for free on days that end with y. ||||-It’s located in the South Side, on the corner of Olas Altas and Basilio Badillo two of the busiest streets around here. Los Muertos Beach and the Malecón are out the other side. Prepare yourself accordingly.||||-Like my mother always said matters go a long ways. Please (Por favor); Thank you (Gracias); Good morning (Buenos dias); Good afternoon (Buenas tardes); Good evening (Buena noches); Very well (Muy bien)||||-There are too many good restaurants, coffee shops and bars to mention within walking distance, let’s just say if you go hungry or thirsty it’s your own fault. A couple of notables La Carreta which is on the beach, Joe Jack’s Fish Shack, Las Penitas Bar & Grill and then Los Muertos Brewing owned by a fellow Utahn. Go Utes!
