Hotel was nice, great location a very nice bay having said that the area in general was run down and a little tired looking. The food was generally very good, sometimes a lot of the meat dishes could be cold, which seems to be normal for the are. Having said that a good choice for, breakfast and evening meal. Staff ok although not what you would call friendly.

Firstly the scenery in the area is stunning. That us one thing that you cannot fault in montenegro. ||However.....||This is a developing country that pretty much is catering for eastern European tastes. There is absolutely nothing to do in this area and the hotel bar shuts at 11.||The food, well it's is an identical menu every day. Cold over cooked meats that even the local feral cats refuse to eat.||The nearest town is budva and is about 4 miles by taxi.. however the taxi cartels treat British tourists as an opportunity to fleece with some of them trying to charge £50. A simple eff off does the trick ( and there are some decent drivers )||If you have a family, the kids would be bored senseless after a day !||The hotel itself is generally clean but you only get sheets changed once a week.||The final straw was jet 2 informed us to take our own food and water to the airport as to "enhance service" British flights go from terminal 2 which doesn't even have a vending machine . Horrible airport.||The only trip we went on was to kotor which was invaded by cruise ships and uncomfortable. ||Verdict.. if you want eastern Europe then go to Croatia. Superior hotels service and quality.||Sorry jet 2 but for 2 grand this hotel and country is not up to it yet.

A fabulous hotel for a relaxing holiday. The rooms are modern with plenty of storage, a kitchenette and gorgeous views of the sea. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Excellent WiFi throughout the hotel, even on the beach! As the hotel is in a peaceful location it is also quite isolated if you do not have a car. I would recommend the hotel provides a shuttle bus service into Budva every day to give guests more access to the surrounding areas in order for them to explore beautiful Montenegro. If this was available we would definitely return 😎👍

Really great service from all the team, super friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting being right on the beach (around 10 mins in a taxi to Budva)and the rooms are clean and spacious. Only negative was there were some water activities listed in the book in the room however when we asked about these we were told they don’t do them which was a bit strange.

This hotel is really one of the best hotels in Budva. A very friendly welcome at the reception, friendly attention in the restaurant, generally quality service and a very beautiful beach. They definitely deserve five stars, but the only flaw is the pillows in the rooms are very bad. The owners should urgently take precautions for this situation.

Well... For the price, everything was great, don't know if they do something with the beach to become sandy. 😊 The only complaint is for the coffee, the one which you get for free is awful, but the one which you are paying from the same restaruant is good. 😜 Overall, I would recommend it for the families with kids.

We had a lovely time at the Hotel Poseidon with a view of the beach and sea from our balcony. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to accomodate us. The food was reasonable and we were brought fruit and yogurt for breakfast when we asked and other things too. The location is fabulous although a taxi is needed to reach Budva and there isn't anywhere to walk to from the hotel particularly. There are a few bars and cafe's nearby but we had half board. Sunbeds and parasols on the beach are included. The wifi is really good and worked right down to the beach. The room was big, smart and was cleaned every day. I would happily return.

Tl;dr: I’d say this is good for a cheapish weekend getaway, or if you have a hire car. But unless you’re a beach bum, I’d recommend somewhere else.||||Positives:||- Hardworking, mostly friendly and attentive staff. At breakfast they always bring out a tray of fresh fruit and drinkable yoghurt. On the night we arrived we also had a huge tray of food (mostly meat) unexpectedly awaiting us in our room.||- Nice rooms, comfortable beds (apart from the pillows, I had to put cushions underneath), air con. There is a fridge and hob included but you’re not actually allowed to cook - I believe this is just there for boiling water, although you can also ask reception for a kettle.||- Nice balcony view (even though we were above the entrance) with a nice outlook to the sea, which is right on your doorstep. The rooms further to the left have an excellent view though.||- Good complimentary wifi that works well all the way down to the beach.||- There is a small grocery shop a minute’s walk away, closed on Sundays like most places but has pretty much anything you should need.||||Negatives:||- A major drawback is how far it is from anything. There’s a nice promenade but nothing but a few apartments and restaurants along it, many of which have little activity this time of year (late May/early June). You also have to walk past a caravan park to get to it unless you take a shortcut through the restaurant. You need a taxi or car to get to most places since there isn’t anywhere that’s feasible to walk to. Reception can call a cab for you, but you can sometimes be fiddled with prices compared to what Jet2 says, and there can be a lot of traffic leading into town.||- Lack of facilities in the hotel. Again, things may pick up later in the year but there was just the buffet (the menu never changed) and the beach bar. There was no daily or nighttime entertainment - even just a guitarist would've improved things massively. The buffet often felt like an assault course with guests consistently pushing in front and the staff hovering around the food and standing in the way while flies get on everything (the rare time I decided to eat inside was an eye-opener)||- Montenegro is sadly a smoker’s paradise and there’s no escape from the smell of tobacco anywhere you go, including the beach and restaurant. People just don't have any consideration even if you're sitting next to them.||- Odd maid habits - sometimes they’d go above and beyond and slippers and a dressing gown were provided, but it took nearly a week for the sheets to be changed, and the duvet wasn’t even made up nicely. From reading other reviews it seems this a common problem.||- The beach allows non guests to use it, presumably at a price, which may mean sunbeds are hard to get a hold of in busier periods (in late May/early June, this wasn’t so much of a problem).
