a very good hotel, clean and large room with very comfortable beds and pillows. we had a room on the 14th floor and the best view. In the middle of everything with many restaurants, cafes and groceries and shopping. We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night at 03:00 due to flight delays but there were no problems, got the best check in with a nice and professional guy at the reception. could borrow an iron and key to the safety box against a cash deposit without any problems. The breakfast was great with everything you could wish for. Best of all the shower was brand new and very good water pressure even though we were on the 14th floor! A short walk of 10 minutes to a really nice beach but crowded, very nice water and the sand soft without any stones whatsoever. the hotel had a large and a smaller pool with many chairs which were unfortunately booked with towels directly in the morning like all other hotels so we never tried the pool. We will be happy to come back and can highly recommend the hotel to everyone.

The hotel room was pretty dated, could do with some new bedding. The beds in our room were huge and comfy-ish, bathroom fine but the shower came out more like a tap than a shower. |Lifts are horrific. 4 lifts and we couldn’t find stairs so we were stuck with them. Absolutely tiny and say that you can fit 6 in (no chance). You have to wait for ages and they just go up and down and stop at all floors, took forever. |Had bed and breakfast so can’t comment on lunch and tea but breakfast was ok. Usual of bread, eggs, fruits etc. there is show cooking which was pancakes and fresh eggs so that was good. The hot selection was so random and I was not keen….. Yorkshire puddings, some sort of gravy. It was hit and miss for me. |Staff, no complaints, all friendly and helpful. |Pool clean and nice, plenty of beds if you get there early enough but definitely could do with some more parasols as not much shade.

First day staying at the Poseidón Hotel Benidorm, and unfortunately, the experience has been quite disappointing so far.||We arrived around 3 PM for check-in and found the reception completely full – which I understand may be common due to the hotel receiving large groups. I patiently waited my turn, but check-in was extremely slow. It was so busy that the staff didn’t even copy our passports during the process; they kept the documents to do it later.||After finally getting to our room and unpacking, I noticed that the baby cot I had requested was missing. I tried to go back down to reception to ask, but it was still completely overwhelmed with guests. Assuming it would eventually be delivered to the room, we left the hotel for personal errands.||When we returned around 11 PM, the cot still hadn't arrived. I went back to reception where the staff member, Luis, informed me that it was too late to get a cot now. He told me that since this is a 3-star hotel, they don’t offer this type of service at night, and that I should have come earlier to prioritize the issue. He suggested my baby should simply sleep in the bed.||When I asked if the hotel would take responsibility if the baby fell or if I was supposed to stay awake all night to watch him, his response was dismissive and again blamed the timing.||To be clear, I don’t blame Mr. Luis personally – he appears to be doing the best he can with limited resources. But as a guest who had stayed in this hotel before (and even brought family this time based on that previous experience), I was extremely disappointed. Especially since, just a few nights ago, I stayed in a 1-star hotel during the drive to Benidorm, checked in at 2 AM, and was still provided a baby cot with no issue.||I now realize that perhaps I should have insisted more during the day, but I genuinely didn’t expect a 3-star hotel to be so limited in service or unable to accommodate basic safety needs for children. Out of curiosity, I asked if anything were to break in the room – like a toilet or glass – whether someone would be available to assist. The answer was no.||It’s clear that this hotel is overstretched and under-resourced. Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider staying here again, in future will look for accommodation that better values guest comfort and service at all hours.

3 Scottish ladies on a 5 day trip to Benidorm. We had read the negative reviews so were a bit apprehensive, however our experience was anything but negative. The location was fantastic. We were in the small extension part of the hotel which has recently been refurbished. Beds were incredibly comfortable, shower pressure was fab, food was great (two of us are fussy eaters and didn’t struggle once), hotel staff were very welcoming , helpful and friendly, the guests were mainly Spanish (we are in Spain!) and not one of them was rude. The entertainment was rightly aimed at the Spanish guests as they were the majority, but we were out and about in the evening so this did not impact our holiday at all. |We all agreed that we would happily return to this hotel and would recommend it for any nationality visiting Benidorm.

We stayed here as part of a large group of Brits celebrating a birthday. It was perfect for what we needed. The location is excellent for getting to the Old Town, The New Town and The Beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the showers were especially nice. We enjoyed spending time around the nice pool with reasonably priced drinks from the bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I liked that this hotel attracts a lot of Spanish guests as well as Brits, and we enjoyed watching the traditional singing and dancing on some evenings. I'm not sure how the Spanish guests felt about having us around though. They didn't seem to want to engage much and often seemed a bit grumpy. I guess this might be a cultural thing. Breakfast was also good with a huge variety (Yorkshire puddings!?). Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Just leaving Poseidon after a lovely week stay with my husband. Seen mixed reveiws before we came but we found everything to be fine. It's a 3* resort so don't expect 5* for what your paying. Staff are lovely, rooms modern and cleaned daily, pools cleaned regularly but you need to be poolside early if you want a bed. Resort as at the of "the strip" but only a 10-15 min walk and nice to stay away from the livelier area's. We would definitely stay again.

Really nice family hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights and it was great. Close enough to the beach, loads of excellent restaurants nearby, and the best pool. This is very much a family-friendly hotel, that your kids and you will enjoy

I went by myself here on a bed & breakfast week (10th of June for 7 days) & there was nothing wrong all week.the breakfast I had were edible.the room was spotless when the maids had finished. The reception people were all nice & polite when I needed them..I hired a mobility scooter..(copd)) through the hotel & cannot even complain about that..they sorted it out for me..even opened pool doors at both hotels so I could take the short cut for my transfer at 2oclock in the morning..would certainly go back & do it all again |Jim preston (room 401)
