First day staying at the Poseidón Hotel Benidorm, and unfortunately, the experience has been quite disappointing so far.||We arrived around 3 PM for check-in and found the reception completely full – which I understand may be common due to the hotel receiving large groups. I patiently waited my turn, but check-in was extremely slow. It was so busy that the staff didn’t even copy our passports during the process; they kept the documents to do it later.||After finally getting to our room and unpacking, I noticed that the baby cot I had requested was missing. I tried to go back down to reception to ask, but it was still completely overwhelmed with guests. Assuming it would eventually be delivered to the room, we left the hotel for personal errands.||When we returned around 11 PM, the cot still hadn't arrived. I went back to reception where the staff member, Luis, informed me that it was too late to get a cot now. He told me that since this is a 3-star hotel, they don’t offer this type of service at night, and that I should have come earlier to prioritize the issue. He suggested my baby should simply sleep in the bed.||When I asked if the hotel would take responsibility if the baby fell or if I was supposed to stay awake all night to watch him, his response was dismissive and again blamed the timing.||To be clear, I don’t blame Mr. Luis personally – he appears to be doing the best he can with limited resources. But as a guest who had stayed in this hotel before (and even brought family this time based on that previous experience), I was extremely disappointed. Especially since, just a few nights ago, I stayed in a 1-star hotel during the drive to Benidorm, checked in at 2 AM, and was still provided a baby cot with no issue.||I now realize that perhaps I should have insisted more during the day, but I genuinely didn’t expect a 3-star hotel to be so limited in service or unable to accommodate basic safety needs for children. Out of curiosity, I asked if anything were to break in the room – like a toilet or glass – whether someone would be available to assist. The answer was no.||It’s clear that this hotel is overstretched and under-resourced. Sadly, this experience has made me reconsider staying here again, in future will look for accommodation that better values guest comfort and service at all hours.

We stayed here as part of a large group of Brits celebrating a birthday. It was perfect for what we needed. The location is excellent for getting to the Old Town, The New Town and The Beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the showers were especially nice. We enjoyed spending time around the nice pool with reasonably priced drinks from the bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I liked that this hotel attracts a lot of Spanish guests as well as Brits, and we enjoyed watching the traditional singing and dancing on some evenings. I'm not sure how the Spanish guests felt about having us around though. They didn't seem to want to engage much and often seemed a bit grumpy. I guess this might be a cultural thing. Breakfast was also good with a huge variety (Yorkshire puddings!?). Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Just leaving Poseidon after a lovely week stay with my husband. Seen mixed reveiws before we came but we found everything to be fine. It's a 3* resort so don't expect 5* for what your paying. Staff are lovely, rooms modern and cleaned daily, pools cleaned regularly but you need to be poolside early if you want a bed. Resort as at the of "the strip" but only a 10-15 min walk and nice to stay away from the livelier area's. We would definitely stay again.

I went by myself here on a bed & breakfast week (10th of June for 7 days) & there was nothing wrong all week.the breakfast I had were edible.the room was spotless when the maids had finished. The reception people were all nice & polite when I needed them..I hired a mobility scooter..(copd)) through the hotel & cannot even complain about that..they sorted it out for me..even opened pool doors at both hotels so I could take the short cut for my transfer at 2oclock in the morning..would certainly go back & do it all again |Jim preston (room 401)

Just returned from a 5 night break at resort . Don’t be put off from bad reviews. Hotel was very clean and staff were friendly and very helpful, comfy beds and breakfast had a great choice to cater for all. Hotel did cater for mainly Spanish ie kids club and entertainment but didn’t stop us from having a great time. Ideally situated away from busier nightlife but plenty off restaurants and shops in area and short walk to beach and old town. We would definitely stay again if returning to Benidorm.

We loved our long weekend at this hotel. Was lovely and clean, including the room. We loved the fact it was full of Spanish holiday makers. The staff were very helpful. The location was excellent, 5 minutes from the beach, strip and Old Town. Definitely would go back.

Rooms are spacious and super clean, you be hard pushed to find a more comfy bed, only downfall on rooms if being picky is they have no kettle or drinks facilities. Food is limited choice and a bit repetitive we was half board so could escape by eating out, it the only hotel we have stayed at what charges for water with your meals. Very good location for both the old town and the strip if that's your thing...

Stayed here for a week nice enough hotel very clean lovely staff. The rooms were clean though basic the walls are paper thin everything can be heard from people making love to people expelling gas, moving around banging into things. No hot water in the evenings to shower which was very disappointing , food was okish plenty to choose from but not really to our taste so we had breakfast out. The location is not really handy for anywhere its more closer to the old town than anywhere else so a lot of waking involved for people who are fit, anyone with limited mobility would definitely need to hire a mobility scooter to get out and about, Very noisy at night with people roaring and shouting outside as they make their way back to their respective hotels full up with drink. We would class this hotel to be more like a Travel Lodge rather than a supposed high end hotel 3 ☆ would be more than enough. Certainly not worth the price they are charging. Would we go back unfortunately that would have to be a No.
