We went only for the thermal pools experience. It was very nice for a cool day outside to immerse yourself in the warm water. We were lucky because the place wasn’t so busy at the pools outside. But we didn’t like so much the attitude of the receptionist, as we went in, she emphasized that we can only use the pools outside because all of the other facilities are already booked in advance without us even asking anything about it.

We had a wonderful stay here—exactly the kind of peaceful getaway we were hoping for.|We enjoyed admiring the stunning views while enjoying a glass of wine in the gardens. |The whole place had a classic, old time feel to it. Bar Verde was a nice surprise. The turntable playing vinyl records helped to create a cozy, nostalgic vibe. |The highlight for me was swimming in the thermal pools at night. Floating under the stars in the warm water was something both magical and special. |If you’re looking to unwind, take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy a bit of old world charm, this place is worth the visit.

What a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! La Posta is in the countryside but so close to many lovely hill towns, wineries, art, history, restaurants, and shopping. Importance is placed on your relaxation and well being. The property is extremely well cared for and the staff go out of their way to care for you. We enjoyed the trails right from the property, the wonderful spa and thermal pools, the restaurants and the many different areas to relax all around the property. There are beautiful little touches throughout the hotel and grounds and the staff are knowledgeable, helpful kind, considerate, and very professional which can sometimes be difficult to find these days. We had no problem with communication prior to our trip our during our stay. The village is small but a nice moment to take in the bookstore, some music, an antique, a new restaurant, outdoor dining, or just a walk to appreciate the olives, flowers, and beauty around you. We are so thankful we chose this lovely hotel and family and hope to return.

I have been going for holidays and short breaks at Hotel La Posta for over 35 years. That alone is testament to this little piece of paradise. I went on to book rooms today and was heartbroken to find that children are no longer welcome at the hotel. My daughter learned to swim in the pool at La Posta and I was hoping that my grand daughter would also be able to learn there. I am sure there will be many guests who are only too happy not to see any children but without children we have no future. I don't know if the Casa Costa Foundation no longer supports children.

Amazing, relaxing, immaculate, classy hotel. Enjoyed every moment of this hotel, from the amazing hospitality team and amenities. The thermal spa is top tier with amazing views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape, with a castle on top of one of the vistas. Food is amazing. The photos on some sites are outdated as much of this hotel has been renovated and updated. The rooms were a blend of modern and classy.

We’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the years and always enjoyed our visits. Unfortunately, our loyalty clearly doesn’t mean much anymore. On our most recent attempt to book, we were informed that the hotel is changing its policy and will no longer allow children. This decision feels short-sighted and discriminatory — prioritizing a quick profit over long-term guests who have supported the hotel for years. Calling it “adults only” doesn’t change the fact that it’s an exclusionary move that alienates loyal families who have made this place part of their traditions. For those who truly want an adults-only experience, go to Adler — it’s a far better choice anyway. As for this hotel, so much for dolce vita.

Wonderful property in a central location nestled in the heart of Val d'Orcia. The town of Bagnon Vignoni is charming and quiet and a perfect place to land after a full day of activities - biking, hiking and wine tasting! The property is well appointed and the staff is kind. The rooms are a generous size and very comfortable . The pools and grounds are world class! A very memorable stay!

I stayed at Postal Hotel Bagno Vignoni from 25–30 August (though I actually left after the first night) and unfortunately, this experience was deeply disappointing, especially for a property advertised and priced as a 5-star hotel.||My husband and I had chosen this hotel just two days after our wedding, hoping for a peaceful and special stay. Upon arrival, however, we immediately realized that the hotel did not meet either our expectations or the standards of a 5-star establishment.||The room was extremely small, dark; the general atmosphere of the hotel felt gloomy rather than refined, and the facilities and design were not aligned with what one would expect from a property of this level or price.||When we expressed our disappointment and asked to cancel the stay on the very first night, there was no manager or decision-maker available, only a staff member who could not authorize any action. We immediately contacted Booking.com, who also could not provide an immediate solution. We were advised to leave the hotel, which we did, in the middle of the night, and had to urgently find another accommodation at significant additional cost.||Over the following days, I spent hours in communication between Booking.com and the hotel, trying to resolve the matter, but was met with disconnected and inconsistent responses. I find it unacceptable that a hotel claiming to be five-star fails to ensure that its management or staff can handle basic customer issues, and that there was no willingness to address an obvious customer dissatisfaction on the very first day.||The lack of empathy and professionalism demonstrated by both the hotel and, unfortunately, the intermediary platform, was very disappointing. I’m sharing this review not out of anger, but to warn other travelers who, like us, expect a genuine five-star experience, both in terms of quality and service.

Yelp
This review is for an actual hotel stay. It appears the others are not only from several years ago, but only refer to the experience as a day guest to their thermal pools/spa. We stayed at Posta Marcucci for four nights and overall had an excellent time. The hotel is well appointed, elegant, yet not super stuffy. The rooms are comfortable and clean in addition to all the common areas on the property. There are so many sitting rooms, covered patios and so much space outside! The views are incredible and the grounds themselves are lush and green. Bagno Vignoni is a small village that is now home to mostly restaurants, a few boutiques and inns. Posta Marcucci is a two minute walk into the center of Bagno Vignoni, which we found to be so convenient and easy in terms of walking to dinner or taking a stroll in the evening. The hotel is also conveniently located near the entry of some walking and hiking trails. My husband could not have chosen a better spot to start our trip with out almost 2 year old. Breakfast was served daily from 8-10:30, which was perfect. Their selection was excellent and we never found ourselves having to order a la carte from the menu. We only had a couple lunches near the pools and they were a-ok. We had dinner there twice and that is probably the area that they can afford to improve. The dinner service tries too hard to be fine dining but missed on timing and the food was ok. In Italy it's hard to have a bad meal. However, we found our dinners took way too long, the food was on the salty side and the wine list was definitely priced for tourists who don't know better, and we do! It was easy enough to go out to dinner in town, so I won't knock a star off. I love the Val D'Orcia and staying in Bagno Vignoni was truly perfect. I'll be back!

Yelp
Sadly, this place has terrible customer service. It's such a lovely setting, but they don't care about their customers' happiness. When you first arrive they squeeze money out of you for mandatory swim caps (5 euro each) and towel RENTALS (5 euro each). It would have been nice if they put this info on their website. We paid a lot to come here for the day (27 euro each for 5 of us -including my 83 year old mother who has trouble getting around). Then clouds moved in and it rained all day. We only got to use the garden and pools for 2 hours. I asked if they could be kind enough to give us HALF DAY passes to return another day and I was rudely told "NO, What if we did this for everyone?" Um....it would literally cost your business ZERO money to do so.....so, maybe just try having good customer service. We had planned to return, as we are staying nearby, but I won't spend another cent here. Don't waste your money. Go somewhere that costs less and has better customer service.
