I stayed at Postal Hotel Bagno Vignoni from 25–30 August (though I actually left after the first night) and unfortunately, this experience was deeply disappointing, especially for a property advertised and priced as a 5-star hotel.||My husband and I had chosen this hotel just two days after our wedding, hoping for a peaceful and special stay. Upon arrival, however, we immediately realized that the hotel did not meet either our expectations or the standards of a 5-star establishment.||The room was extremely small, dark; the general atmosphere of the hotel felt gloomy rather than refined, and the facilities and design were not aligned with what one would expect from a property of this level or price.||When we expressed our disappointment and asked to cancel the stay on the very first night, there was no manager or decision-maker available, only a staff member who could not authorize any action. We immediately contacted Booking.com, who also could not provide an immediate solution. We were advised to leave the hotel, which we did, in the middle of the night, and had to urgently find another accommodation at significant additional cost.||Over the following days, I spent hours in communication between Booking.com and the hotel, trying to resolve the matter, but was met with disconnected and inconsistent responses. I find it unacceptable that a hotel claiming to be five-star fails to ensure that its management or staff can handle basic customer issues, and that there was no willingness to address an obvious customer dissatisfaction on the very first day.||The lack of empathy and professionalism demonstrated by both the hotel and, unfortunately, the intermediary platform, was very disappointing. I’m sharing this review not out of anger, but to warn other travelers who, like us, expect a genuine five-star experience, both in terms of quality and service.
