The inn is amazing! My English husband and I stayed here and we both loved it.|He especially enjoyed the breakfast, which was included and honestly, it was fantastic! There’s also pão de queijo and coffee available throughout the day, which was such a nice touch.||The room had everything we needed: shampoo, conditioner, towels, and other essentials. The staff were very attentive and kind, and the location is super convenient, close to everything.||It was worth every penny!

Friendly welcome although I had made by mistake a reservation for the wrong day. Very close to the main square. Great view from the terrace to the beautiful landscape and the historic town. Complementary coffee and cake in the afternoon. Car park free of charge.

It frustrates me to write this review because my initial stay was great - the hotel was quiet, location is decent, breakfast was good and one of the employees even helped me drive my car out of the private parking. Given the great first day, we returned for another later in the week - the same person checked us in and I enquired about laundry services. At this point, he should have shown me the astronomical prices charged for laundry because no one in their right mind would choose to do their laundry here even if they had no clean clothes to wear, but instead, he told us to take our laundry down to the basement. There, I was told laundry would be done by that evening, only to be told later that the lady had gone home for the day and it wouldn't be done until the next morning which meant we left Ouro Preto for our next destination a lot later. All 6 people who I spoke to about laundry failed to show me pricing for the service or at least give me an estimate. ||||On the second night, hotel guests were loud all night (not a hotel issue specifically, just a reflection on how noise travels when the hotel is at higher capacity) and breakfast service was not great. Tables remained stacked with plates and the dining area was incredibly busy. On check out, the lady at the front desk knew from the laundry bill that no one informed me of the prices and offered a discount which still meant I was paying USD 20 for a few items of laundry that arrived late, some of which were still slightly damp. I admit I should have specifically asked for the pricing in the first place but I trusted the front desk from our first stay and this part is my fault.||||Overall, the staff need better training which can only come from management. I reached out to management to suggest this as well as sticking up the laundry prices on the wall so guests are not deceived further, only to be told the laundry prices are the laundry prices. Wouldn't typically review a hotel's service so negatively during the pandemic but felt the need to warn travellers to seek an alternative for laundry if needed and avoid this place close to the weekend when it becomes less tranquil and more noisy.

A very cozy and family style resort, close to city center and main streets, the room is clean and facilities with necessary equipments, hairdryer has very strong power and air condition works very well. It provides free afternoon tea since noon, coffee, tea and cakes as well as pão de queijo, I love this stay and satisfied 🥰

We arrived in Ouro Preto on Good Friday and were sorely disappointed with the pousada we booked. On Saturday morning, we lucked out on finding this pousada. It is a five minute walk from the Praca Tiradentes and so it was convenient to see the tapetes that were fabricated on Saturday night for the Easter procession on Sunday. The breakfast was spectacular with fresh fruit, juices, eggs, sausage and variety of breads. During the day, coffee and tea are available. The hotel has seven connections to internet and so there is good internet service through out. Convenient parking under the hotel and the staff is extremely gracious. Because we have three children they put an extra bed in the one double room. Great central lobby, TV room and breakfast area as well as balcony. All in all an excellent find and quite reasonable.

Our room had black mould in the bedroom and was extremely dusty - it felt like it hadn't been properly cleaned in months. Our room also overlooked what was a surprisingly busy road, which was frustrating as we had to keep the windows open because of the mould. The walls are also thin. All of this added up to extremely poor nights sleep. They did transfer us to a new room for our final night. Big pros: beautiful shared balcony overlooking the city, and it was right next to the central square.

Cosy, well centrally located hotel with friendly service, excellent breakfast and good internet service. We had a bit trouble with the TV and the room it's a bit small. Good and clean bathroom and a excellent shower! An employee was so kind we even washed our car!

We stayed one night at this pousada. The location is very convenient- just a quick stroll to the center. The breakfast is also good with great variety of breads and cakes. The staff is very polite - but don't speak English at all. The parking is right under the hotel but beware of steep slope to go in and out of parking lot.
