This hotel has plenty of character! The rooms are woody and at first we thought it would be noisy at night but when everyone had settled for the night, we slept well. My husband had altitude sickness and the receptionist immediately made oxygen available to him to use when he needed it. It was also free. The restaurant was average but we did not know where else to go to and it was only for one night anyway. A pleasant setting around a courtyard.

Where do I start.. So at first glance it looked good, you think damn why is this place 3 stars? It could be a 4 star hotel, well. The WiFi was horrible, barely got 1 Mbps and that on a weekday, I had to use my phone's internet. The shower was a experience... To get the right temperature I felt like playing the lottery is easier. The bathroom had a hair dryer that was so clogged that it was unable to be on for longer than 1 minute. There are towels for you to use, but nothing to place on the floor, so expect slippery and wet exit, because the shower curtains barely held the water inside. The room had these electric heaters you are expected to turn on and manipulate yourself... Glad I knew his these worked, my wife did not and to be honest it would not be too much to ask for a basic instruction paper to explain what a good setting would be. But hey at least they made sure to put a paper on the wall telling you if you dirty the towels you have to pay 30 soles to clean. (Lol white towels that can be washed at 90°) For the bed they added electric blankets that heat. We did not use them (again, limited instructions, and those said to not manipulate them without staff) If you get the room that's on the ground floor you have the options between a window where all the visitors can look at you like in a zoo, or a window that faces the street. I closed both to have privacy. The location is also not the best, the next shop to buy basics like tissues or water is a 12 min walk... Okay not a big deal but if you were on a schedule like us and had to wake up at 5 am in the morning after arriving the night before around 10 pm you really don't want to walk that far. Maybe I was too exhausted to even try. Breakfast: This is were they did good. It had good variation and the views are amazing. They could have heated a bit more though, Outside was -1° inside it felt like 18°-19° In total I'm not sure they deserve the 3 stars... The food keeps them afloat, but the room was a mediocre stay.

The hotel is very beautiful and has nice views of town. Rooms are a little small but charming. They have an electrical heather and heated blankets. The bathroom needs more ventilation. In general, it was a good experience.

Basically slept over in this hotel for one night. I have to admit that overall architecture remind on some historical town. Especially the main garden with arches in circle. Closely resembling that scene where Odysseus comes to recruit Achilles. You’ll understand when you see it. |Staff was helpful, when asked. Location is a bit outside the city. Transportation recommended to those feeling effects of an high altitude. |Nonetheless, when I arrived to the room to have shower, I couldn’t get hot water. Waited for something like 5-10 minutes. Until I start feeling chills. That is why I will deduct one point for sure. ||Other than that, it was nice place to stay.

Hair dryer not working in the room. The one given at reception also turns off every 2 minutes and becomes hot. You have to eat dinner here because there is no light on the 30 mins walk to town.

2 Canadian friends enjoyed our 1-night-stay that was booked through Exoticca. Beds were very comfy with a heated blanket. The days were warm but nights got a bit cooler. The shower ran warm...|A walk around the property was delightful. Flowers were still blooming! There was a round tower that I climbed to the top to get pictures of Chivay. |The restaurant food was good and breakfast enjoyable. Staff were very helpful and carried luggage to room. Many stone steps to get around and up to room.|I would recommend. (Altitude was high. Oxygen available.)

Really good hotel with interesting rooms, great view, not far from the town main square and a view point, located at the Colca river
