Hotel Princess

The location is perfect! Right in front of the promenade by the sea. The old town is 4 km up the hill, which you can walk to in an hour if you're up for it, a taxi costs around €8-10. The hotel is old and feels a bit shabby. The service is not very friendly, but I wasn't in the restaurants nearby either, so it's quite normal. The cleanliness is good and the rooms smell good. However, the brown tiles are not exactly modern, the hotel has been partially renovated. The food is average at best, but fortunately there are many good restaurants nearby. The breakfast here was so poor that I didn't eat much. Lots of children, but it didn't bother me because I was with my children. On the weekend, there was some noise in the room in the evenings. Nice pool area and the scenery was great, even the partial sea view from the room showed the sea and mountains! Lots of free parking around the hotel. All in all, a pretty ok hotel, the food was bad but the location was the best possible!

The location was awesome, Breakfast was very good, service was good. We had reserved several rooms and the A/C was not working in some of the rooms and the safety locker also had problems. Some of the staff members were not enthusiastic in doing their jobs, but some were helpful. It would have been nice if they provided water bottles in the rooms. Expected better amenities for the price we paid.

The cost of the hotel does not match the services provided. The area around the pool is under construction, with ongoing building work during the day. It is very loud and unpleasant to relax in such an environment. There are no umbrellas, and the sun loungers are dirty. The hotel itself is very worn out, from the furniture to the fittings. When concerns are raised, the manager simply nods without taking any action. I do not recommend staying here if you don’t want to ruin your vacation.

Perfect hotel in Bar! I liked high level of services, great SPA and kids playground. I had a test with three kids and enjoyed it very much.

My wife and I have just checked out after a 5 night stay here (3 nights more than enough to stay in Bar). There are some good and bad points about the hotel. Our room was nice and clean, had a comfy bed, strong aircon, an easy to use Safe and a nice balcony with views of the port and mountains. The shower while powerful was the old style shower hose in a bath tub. Unfortunately the cleaning staff never knocked and walked in a good few times when we were in the room and then gave annoyed looks when we said ‘come back in a few minutes’. Breakfast was good with a self service buffet on the terrace with nice pool and sea views. We ate one dinner off the ‘A la Carte’ menu which was excellent, great service, delicious food and a lovely bottle of wine. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I needed bus tickets printed, no problem just emailed to reception and printed immediately. We had to cut our stay short by 2 days and when a refund was not possible we were offered free dinners and lunch for 2 days as compensation which was very kind. When there was a mix up in communication (on the hotels part) which could have caused hassle it was sorted very quickly with no problems. The hotel is in a good location on the promenade and beach (a rocky beach, not the cleanest but fine for swimming in) with lots of good cheap restaurants within few minutes walk. The bus stop to Stari Bar (€1, 20 minutes away) is across the road. A taxi to the bus station costs €3. The hotel has a gym, indoor pool, sauna (we didn’t use) and offers massages, but unfortunately there was no massage therapist working during our stay. Unfortunately for us the one big downside was the swimming pool area, great for families and kids (there is kids club offered too) but not for anyone looking for a quiet pool and area to relax. The pool is also open to the public so was over crowded especially at weekends and with loud music blaring this was not the swimming pool area for us. My wife actually bought ear plugs to allow herself to sit, relax and read at the pool area. As the hotel is next to a football ground and sports centre it seems a lot kids sports camps stay in the hotel. During our stay there was 60 kids on a football academy camp so pool area was too crowded and impossible to enjoy. Obviously the hotel is non smoking but there was always a strong smell of smoke on the 3rd floor. This hotel is a great option for families but not for anyone looking for a nice quiet place to relax.

Stayed for two weeks. I cannot compliment the staff enough. All were very friendly, and made the stay pleasant. Even recommendations on hidden gems, and local culture. For the cost, rooms were very nice. Food was basic, but more than adequate. Location is superb.

Position of hotel is good, food can be better, need more proffesional stuff..solid 3 stars

I simply cannot understand how these people can be regarded professional. The staff doesn’t come to you when you want to order something. I have been sitting almost half hour and no one is coming to make an order. Totally disgrace for Montenegro.
