Hotel Principe di Villafranca

Our holiday started at Principe di Villafranca in Palermo. Unfortunately, the reception was quite cold upon arrival. The female receptionist, in particular, could benefit from learning to smile and be more welcoming to guests. Fantastic hotel. Recently undergone renovation, beautifully done, stylish decor. Great location, easy to get to all major attractions. Super friendly staff. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Well worth a stay. You won’t be disappointed. 😀

The hotel is fine. Our room was large ||It appears to be geared towards local business people or the hot sheet trade.||Some staff were exceptional where others made us feel like we were doing them a disservice by being there.||Unfortunately, out of the eight hotels we have stayed in on this 5 week trip, this one comes a distant last.

Rooms are small but comfortable. Lobby is quite pleasant and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Close to the historic center of town but not in it, easy walking distance even in summer heat.

We recently spent four nights at the Hotel Principe di Villafranca while visiting Palermo. The hotel is 3/10 of a mile from the Lolli train station, which is very convenient when arriving from the airport. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The staff did their best to keep things well stocked. If you are looking for any restaurants or stores, you will have to walk several blocks. Not a complaint, just an observation. The hotel is located in a safe, residential neighborhood.

The pictures of the rooms on the website look a lot better than in real life. Did not like this hotel. It was more like a 3 star hotel. The staff was not friendly and once you ask for something started speaking in Italian about you. I felt really uncomfortable. We were told to select time for breakfast each day of our stay and each day there were not to many people so that was very strange request on the behalf of the hotel. Would not recommend staying in this hotel.

Stayed here for three days while visiting Sicilly. Our room was large, clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a safe in our room. The toiletries were good.|Enjoyed the art on the walls.|Breakfast was organised in half hour time slots so there was no crowding , and the food was good.|It would have been good if the reception had more information for holiday travellers. Reception staff did give information when asked, some reception staff more helpful than others

I reserved two rooms thirty days in advance and paid from 9/11/24 to 9/15 for family vacantions .When I showed up at the hotel reception to check in ,the receptinist communicated with me with her best stone face that she only had ,I had a room in thah hotel and the other was in another hotel 15 minutes from the place.I did not accepted that and look for another hotel with all the inconveniences that it caused us. They made us lose almost two days of vacations,they did not take care of anything not even the transportation of the luggage to the new hotel,wich is why I recomended that unsuspecting tourist flee from these people who are not at all serious and are scammers. I can support all of this with documentation that proves my statements
