I loved the intimacy and service of this boutique hotel. The staff was very attentive, the housekeeping was outstanding, the room was large and well-appointed, the air conditioning cooled the room, and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the big bathtub. I wish the tv faced the bed because we could only watch tv while sitting on the couch. The bar on the third floor was cozy and the pool on the rooftop was beautiful. We loved our waitress at breakfast. She always anticipated our needs and remembered our order day to day. There were only four options for breakfast which was super limiting. We got creative as the days went by (egg white omelet, fresh fruit bowl, etc.) but we got really bored of the food. The food was very fresh.

They were the striking architectural statement in the heart of Taipei. From the moment I arrived, the dark, modern façade made an impression, sophisticated, bold, and distinctly urban. The interior of the room reflected the same sense of refined design. The room offered a spacious layout with a living area separated from the bedroom, furnished with a plush sofa, writing desk, and a large television. The space felt both luxurious and intimate, with moody lighting that added a sense of calm. The bedroom featured a large, comfortable bed with minimalist decor and touches of elegance like hanging crystal lights. One of the most remarkable elements was the open-plan bathroom. With a beautiful free-standing bathtub set against swirling marble walls and floors, the space felt like a private spa. The design was unique — dramatic yet functional, with a separate rainfall shower and stylish sink area😍

Amazing food and services overall. Had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the food and the open kitchen setup. The hotel is really new with quality bed and Japanese toilet. The interior design is unique and functional. It will be great if there are more outlets for charging in the room.

Absolutely incredible boutique hotel set in the perfect location of Taipei. The property is beautiful and no detail has been overlooked. ||The rooms are stunning - gorgeous hard wood floors, crystal chandeliers, the standalone bathrub, and of course I’d be remiss to not mention the Toto Washlet (the best toilet in the world in my humble opinion. ||The rooftop pool was a great way to relax for a few hours, catch some sun, and try to swim off the calories from the night prior (not an easy task with all the delicious food options in house and nearby. ||Special shoutout to the front desk staff and especially Spud, the best concierge at any hotel you could find. I’d had a few too many beers late one night durning our stay and Spud took the time to walk me down the street to Family Mart and suggested some of his favorite local snacks, and of course his favorite local beer. ||10/10 would recommend staying here. The personal touch and emphasis that everyone at Proverbs puts into the guest experience is truly next level. ||Thanks again everyone! No question we’ll be staying here again on our next trip to Taipei ||Cheers!!!!|-Chris & Katie

We arrived at the hotel feeling exhausted after unexpected transportation delays, but our fatigue quickly faded the moment we stepped into our room. Designed with a refined industrial-luxury aesthetic, the space was absolutely stunning. I was surprised by how uplifting and energizing a beautifully designed room could be—it truly elevated our spirits.||To our delight, a heartfelt handwritten message from the staff awaited us in the room. The moment I read it, I felt a twinge of regret for having requested a room change earlier—they had already gone out of their way to make us feel welcome.||The staff responded to our requests with remarkable attentiveness, promptly bringing us an extra blanket. The room was fully stocked with thoughtful amenities, including snacks, juice, coffee, and a pleasantly fragrant shower gel. Every detail reflected a sincere effort to ensure our comfort.||Even after checkout, the team continued to extend their kindness by gladly holding our luggage. We were also touched to discover that they understood Japanese, which made communication effortless and comforting.||Their warm hospitality truly turned our stay into a memorable and heartwarming experience. Without a doubt, we will return the next time we visit Taipei.

The room is spacious and I love the interior design of this hotel. Perfect for solo traveler or even with family. Nice neighbourhood and near to the shopping alleys with lots of interesting brands. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Taipei soon! Thank you to the Hotel Proverbs team for making my stay a memorable one.

Beautiful hotel and incredibly attentive staff! Will 100% rebook Hotel Proverbs when I am back in Taipei. From the moment I stepped foot inside, the staff made sure every need was attended too and there were fun little snacks provided in the room. And my gosh - the room was so cool and comfortable I didn’t want to leave!

I stayed at Hotel Proverbs Taipei for two nights for my layover trip in Taipei. The location is super convenient, very close to Metro station. Lots of restaurants nearby and the department store Sogo is 3 minutes away. The room I stayed is urban room, spacious for a solo trip or a couple. The room is very clean and nicely organized, snacks and drinks from minibar are free. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would like to come back next time when I visit Taipei.

Yelp
Spent two nights here at the end of a 10 day tour of Taiwan. It's a nice boutique hotel which has a nice pool on the roof. I wasn't a huge fan of our room not having a door to the bathroom, just a curtain. And the toilet would open anytime you were in the bathroom which was kind of loud when getting ready for bed. The bed was comfortable though. We had spent 5 nights at the Hanns House which was cheaper and had better breakfast and a larger room. Still, we had a good time, if you are a Marriot person then it's a nice place to get some points.

Yelp
Spent 4 nights at Proverbs with my 3 sisters. Amazing place. Great attentive service. Wonderful staff. Fantastic location. Boutique hotel in a bustling fun neighborhood. Convenient to everything by walking and public transit. Small lobby and bar are on third floor. Bar opens at 5 so not a place to hang out during the day. Note that bathroom door is a curtain... staying here made our visit to Taipei extra enjoyable!! Definitely recommend. Side street has three vegetarian buffet restaurants and tons of meat-lovers eateries on the whole street along with locally made clothing boutiques. Very cute. Great shopping.

Yelp
Excellent new boutique hotel located in the bustling Daan east side 東區 near SOGO department stores and Zhongxiao Fuxing 忠孝復興 station (brown and blue metro lines). Lots of dining and shopping around. Friendly customer service and contemporary rooms with comfy beds and neat Toto electronic toilet. There's a rooftop pool with a view of Taipei 101 through the ugly black wire "decor" on the facade of the hotel. Unfortunately, the pool is not heated so it can be a bit cold and there's no shade on the rooftop so it can get hot quickly. It would be good if management can add some umbrellas for shade. We stayed in the Classic room as well as the Premium room, and they are both great. The Premium has a big balcony which is cool. The minibar is complimentary including beers that are replenish daily. They also offer baby toiletries and crib (depending on the room) if you are traveling with little ones. We also had breakfast included, but the selection of food is quite disappointing. They have some salad, bread, cold cuts, cheese, and cereal as the buffet part. The fruits they offer are unsliced apples and oranges. You can also order off the made to order menu which offers tasty omelette and French toast as well as a handful of other dishes like yogurt. However, it does get boring after a few days as the menu does not change. I wish the hotel would offer some Taiwanese style breakfast as well as more fresh fruits. Usually, Taiwan hotels of this class offer a variety of selection for breakfast so hopefully the Proverbs can improve. Overall, a solid choice for Taipei high end hotels. Just know it is a boutique hotel so it does not have a fancy lobby, but there's a small bar on the 3F. I would not pay for the daily breakfast if you can as Taiwan has so much good food and the limiting breakfast selection is boring. Proverbs is also part of SPG so you can get points or use points here.

Yelp
I was introduced to Hotel Proverbs by a friend, and the entire place has only been in operation for less than two months. The location is most excellent, nearing major metro station, shopping, and restaurants - you can go from high-end to hole-in-the-wall places within walking distance. The hotel room itself is comparable to Hyatt, using high quality materials everywhere you see and touch. The bathroom is especially nice, with modern handsfree toilet, high-end sink/faucet, roomy shower with waterfall showerhead, and a great separate tub. This place is in the middle of everything, yet at night, because of the excellent window insulation, you cannot hear any noise from the streets. Downstairs is the restaurant and breakfast is included. I had the salmon with poached eggs plus a frew other items, which is much better than your average asian or western style breakfast. Most of all, it's the hotel staff that greets you every step of the way, willing to assist you in all your needs, and makes the stay that much nicer. A special thanks to the hotel manager Carey W. She is most knowledgeable, friendly, and speaks several languages. All in all, the best hotel experience I've ever had in Taipei.
