Hotel Puebla de Antaño is an amazing place to stay. The hotel itself is very comfortable and nice to be at. But the personnel is AMAZING!!! Each and everyone of them are very sweet and kind! I would 100% recommend it! The location can not be beat and you are guaranteed an wonderful time just by being there! Our group occupied all of the rooms for a 3 day weekend and the attention and respect and friendliness they demonstrated was top notch!

There has to be better places to stay; this hotel was the worst thing about our time in Puebla The photos are accurate and the attractive original features of the building are wonderful. The location is amazing, but this cannot make up for the lack of reasonable service or basic hotel etiquette. We simply wanted this hotel to sleep and have a shower, yet we couldn't do either of these things - The hotel is LOUD with music playing late into the night and we were woken at 6.30am by staff chatting every day - if you have to stay here make sure bring ear plugs. There was no hot water in the afternoon - you have to ask for it to be put on and then wait for it to warm up. Check in was poor - no WiFi code given,  no air con remote given - you have to go and ask for these separately. The worst part was that they locked us out of the hotel with no way of getting in a 1030 on our second night The worst part was that they locked us out of the hotel at 10.30pm. This was with no prior warning and having been open to the public (with lots of shouting and screaming) until way past midnight the previous night. We had to knock for 10 minutes and the guy was angry that we had knocked loudly, which we hadn't at first, but didn't get a response. Other things: Dated interior - floor tiles loose No openable windows Rooms were dirty everywhere Everything was so bad we didn't want to to use the restaurant or roof terrace - these were part of the reason for booking this hotel, which is a shame. They rely solely on the location and are terrible at everything else - we could've spent our money better elsewhere - avoid this place

El trató de los meseros deprorable|Y la hostess con una cara de perro imposible |Terrible disastrous waiters Terrible service The place doesn't sell because the waiters don't want to sell, we would have had much more but the waiters were busy and also the elevator is not for customers, it doesn't work for customers, that's how the guy who greeted me at the door gave the order . The elevator is for the workers and it's good that they didn't ruin their knees but it should be for the customers too. appalling I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it.

This was our worse hotel in Mexico. At check in they switched our rooms with other family members. Very awkward to resolve and with no apologies. Gorgeous elevator out of serving dragging luggage up and down stairs. Two trips to front desk to ask Wi-Fi and how to use AC. Once we were in booked room it was not a real balcony but super loud all night. Location was 5 star but so many better choices in hotels and Airbnb this was not a value or positive in any way. There was no service but a room cleaning everyday. We were there for a wedding and this place looked special in photos. Don’t book for architecture.

This hotel, simply put, is lovely. Its 17th Century ambiance is all around, from the old school elevator, to the small chapel like areas and chandelier. The rooms are huge ('junior suites') and the bathroom/shower more than adequate. Excellent location just around the corner from the Zocalo, yet still perfectly quiet. The breakfast (included) on the open air rooftop on a Sunday morning was accompanied by the bells from the Cathedral. And just to keep it real, there is a picture of Elvis in the lobby! There is also an attached bar and separate restaurant.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and loved it. The location is excellent, only 1/2 Block from Zocalo and lots of good eating places around. Our Spanish is not very good but they had a wonderful man there who spoke English and he helped us find someone to do our laundry, after getting drenched in the rain. He also found a driver to take us around the city. The beds are comfortable, the room was clean, and the food in the restaurant was good

This hotel is just beautiful The rooms are large and quite elegant. The shower and bath are excellent. And the staff is friendly. The location can’t be beat with many great museums and first rate restaurants within a three block walk in any direction and the Zocolo right around the corner|BUT. If you don’t speak Spanish you will have a tough time because no one speaksEnglish at all. The breakfast is mediocre with weird Cinnamon coffee. The real downside is the electronic music and its booming drum beats from the roof top bar blaring through the walls until 3:30 in the morning making sleep nearly impossible Bring ear plugs!!!|It’s too bad the nights can’t be like the days and I hate to dis the hotel but, the whole point of a hotel, really, is a place to sleep and if you can’t do that what’s the point?

Nice view, great terrace(s) lounge bar, good drinks with good service, fairly inexpensive. Music is very good and there is parking garage very close (not affiliated to the bar) some friends stayed here also, no complaints, very classic feeling from old-Puebla downtown. Close to many things.

Yelp
The room was very spacious and comfortable, but the hotel is way overpriced. The room comes with feee breakfast in the restaurant downstairs but DO NOT eat there under any circumstances. I took a sip of my coffee and then noticed a floating COCKROACH in the coffee cup. Absolutely horrifying. I can't believe we paid for a hotel that serves coffee with a dead roach.
