There has to be better places to stay; this hotel was the worst thing about our time in Puebla
The photos are accurate and the attractive original features of the building are wonderful. The location is amazing, but this cannot make up for the lack of reasonable service or basic hotel etiquette.
We simply wanted this hotel to sleep and have a shower, yet we couldn't do either of these things - The hotel is LOUD with music playing late into the night and we were woken at 6.30am by staff chatting every day - if you have to stay here make sure bring ear plugs.
There was no hot water in the afternoon - you have to ask for it to be put on and then wait for it to warm up.
Check in was poor - no WiFi code given, no air con remote given - you have to go and ask for these separately.
The worst part was that they locked us out of the hotel with no way of getting in a 1030 on our second night
The worst part was that they locked us out of the hotel at 10.30pm. This was with no prior warning and having been open to the public (with lots of shouting and screaming) until way past midnight the previous night. We had to knock for 10 minutes and the guy was angry that we had knocked loudly, which we hadn't at first, but didn't get a response.
Other things:
Dated interior - floor tiles loose
No openable windows
Rooms were dirty everywhere
Everything was so bad we didn't want to to use the restaurant or roof terrace - these were part of the reason for booking this hotel, which is a shame.
They rely solely on the location and are terrible at everything else - we could've spent our money better elsewhere - avoid this place
