I stayed at Hotel Puerta Serranos from November 29th to December 5th, and after visiting five hotels across Spain since October 2024, I can confidently say this one offers the best value for money by far.
The service is exceptional. I honestly cannot remember the last time I experienced such consistently warm, professional, and helpful service from everyone. The reception staff, the breakfast team and the cleaning staff. The reception team in particular deserves special mention. No matter what I needed, they handled it with efficiency and genuine kindness.
I am a light sleeper and had requested a quiet room before arrival. They gave me a room on the top floor with windows facing the hotel’s interior courtyard, meaning there was zero street noise. Perfect. Today, only 40 minutes before checkout, I asked if it was possible to extend it from 12:00 to 14:00. Within minutes, they arranged it with a smile.
I’m currently learning Spanish, and the staff have been incredibly supportive in speaking Spanish with me, helping me improve, and doing so politely even when they were clearly busy. It means a lot.
The room itself exceeded expectations. It feels much more spacious than it appears online, the bed is fantastic, the smart TV makes it easy to connect streaming accounts, and the digital control panel for temperature and fan settings is excellent. The bathroom feels modern and luxurious.
I didn’t initially add breakfast because I enjoy exploring the city in the mornings, but I decided to try it on my third-to-last day, and I’m so glad I did. Unlike typical hotel buffets, you order whatever you want from an impressive menu, making it incredible value for money. For just 19 euros, I enjoyed Greek yoghurt with chia seeds and blueberries, a toast with Spanish ham, avocado and a perfectly poached egg, scrambled eggs with salmon and avocado, fresh orange juice and an espresso. And I could have ordered more!
Lastly, the location is perfect. The hotel sits in the heart of the old city. Right across the road you have access to the beautiful and extensive Turia Park, ideal for walking or running. On the other side, you’re only a short walk from major attractions, cafés, restaurants and everything you might need.
I could not be happier with my stay. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Valencia who wants comfort, excellent service, and a fantastic location. I will absolutely stay here again.
