Hotel Pumilio - Jacó, Costa Rica

I had an amazing stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Alfredo from front desk was so nice. Breakfast had a fair bit of variety, and they would make ftesh omlettes, pancakes, waffles on the spot for you. The premise was clean and well kept. The view was beautiful in both the jacuzzii room and the main areas. I found the spa prices to be on the expensive side. Overall great stay! Thank you Hotel Pumilio and Staff!

We had a great stay. We had a few small issues on the first day with hot water, but Teejay was quick to get it fixed. Breakfast every morning on the outside patio was nice and the one night that we ate dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. Service overall was very attentive. The location is very convenient. You get the jungle atmosphere but only a 10 min drive to the beach.

Great place to stay that is reasonable accommodations. Service was quick to act on issues. Door knob was broken in the bathroom and my wife got stuck, thankfully I came back shortly after to help her. Breakfast was delicious and homemade. We would stay here again

Overall really nice hotel, worth the money! Pros: 1. This was the only hotel in Costa Rica that had full toiletry set, including the hair conditioner and the body lotion. 2. The room was spacious, with two queen beds, plenty of space for luggage and a big closet. 3. The air conditioning was placed in such a perfect way that it didn’t blow on beds, instead it was creating a nicely cooled circulating air in the room. 4. We had a terrace with a decent size kitchen, plenty of tableware and cookware, 5. Coffee machine with delicious Britt coffee capsules, although, they were not refilled 😅 6. The terrace had a nice sitting furniture, quite comfortable, we spent there every evening. 7. Big fridge! 8. The bathroom had decent storage space for all the girly stuffs ☺️ 9. Clean swimming pool with comfortable sunbathing area, where you can enjoy watching local iguanas fighting for a sunny spot 😁 10. Decent breakfast choices, they can also make you an omelette, fried or scrambled eggs and pancakes at your request. For drinks: good coffee (strong, not American style 😅), teas, hot chocolate, fresh juice, milk. Food: Toast breads (a choice of white, wholewheat and black) with homemade jams, butter and crème fraîche. Cold cuts and cheeses. Many other choices… Cons: 1. The restaurant food isn’t as good as what you can eat locally, better to eat outside. 2. To get to the first floor, you have to go through the stairs with all your heavy luggage cases.

We have been very pleased with this property, after 5 weeks in Costa Rica! This was a little treat for us. Jungle setting, 1st class accommodations.. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, nice pool side kitchen, dining area, pool, waterfall and a very nice breakfast! all in, happy with the stay.

Love it here! Rooms are super clean, people are very friendly, excellent breakfast, pool is beautiful, and perfect proximity to things to do while being away from traffic noises.

My stay here was amazing. I got an upgraded room and EVERYONE here was so kind and helpful. Awesome place to stay close to Jaco Beach.

Hotel Pumillio mountain and ocean hotel is located just outside of main Jaco. Fairly easy drive to it's location. Hotel has an automatic gate for security with its own private parking area. Upon arriving you're greeted with the sounds of nature and smiles from the staff. TEEJAY and his staff are wonderful and accommodating. The massage manager Warner not only helpful in booking massages he was very helpful with local cuisine suggestions. The cafe on site is nothing short of incredible with food made from scratch. Fresh ingredients and positive attitudes from Jonathan the chef creating an amazing experience. Not only did they make my stay at the hotel an outstanding experience Teejay and his team always had our best interest in mind. Upon arriving they gathered some information on our plans and noticed an oddity in our tour reservation. Teejay went above and beyond to confirm I wasn't being taken advantage of or being asked to meet somewhere not safe. In conclusion the team made it an unforgettable experience with hopes of returning sooner rather than later.
