We stayed at Puri Melaka 19 years ago and were a bit wary of staying there again, wondering if we should stay somewhere modern. However, it is still great. The room was plenty big enough and, while most electricity sockets were 3 square pin, one socket by the bed was a multi socket with USB A & C outlets. ||It was very quiet, facing out onto a courtyard. ||Being a fairly small hotel, the breakfast buffet wasn't as varied as big hotels but still had an egg station. On the other hand, the breakfast location was absolutely great in an open courtyard which had a clear sliding roof for when it rained.

We stayed at Puri Hotel because we liked the look of the Peranakan theme. Hotel was charming and warm. Felt like a home with a historical vibe. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely garden and courtyard. Hotel even has small in-house museum but all around there were Peranakan decor and furnishings. Staff were friendly and accomodating, especially Lorna who was efficient and helpful. Breakfast buffet was reasonable. Location was convenient and very close to Jonker St night market, main attractions and shops, all short walking distances. Hotel services and rooms exceed their 3 star rating. Highly recommend. Great value for money. Would stay again.

Beautiful boutique hotel with great services and breakfast options! Very strategic location next to Jonker Walk, we didn't have to drive almost at all for the whole weekend to explore Banda Hilir. I have tried many excellent hotels in Melaka, this is my new favorite!

I recently had an amazing stay at this hotel. The architecture was stunning, blending modern elegance with timeless charm. The interior design was equally impressive, showcasing meticulous attention to detail and a warm, inviting ambiance. Additionally, the hotel's location was perfect, offering easy access to key attractions and breathtaking views. Overall, it was an exceptional experience that I will cherish.

The place is furnished with beautiful antique furnitures, it is good if you love antique Chinese furnitures and get photos. Crews are very friendly and helpful, location is good, 1 min walk to jonker street. The room however is very basic, quite small and you could say old. Sprung mattress where you can feel the spring and the bed creeks when you move. Aircond and water heater was ok. There’s no bidet in toilet. Amenities are good. A very very basic room. Overall, if you want to take nice photos, yes. Room wise, don’t expect too much. Added value, free buffet breakfast, nice 👍

My wife and I enjoyed our recent stay. The room was comfy, AC worked great, the supplies in the room including water were plentiful. As mentioned previously the location is just perfect for Jonker Street without all the accompanying sound. Service is friendly for the most part. Only quibble, breakfast is mediocre and the coffee served is poor. Surely, the management can think of serving better local style coffee even if not the more western style espresso based ones. Beautifully done up, parts of the hotel could pass for a museum. We'll come back here on our next Melaka visit.

A very nice boutique hotel located at Jonker street. Surrounded by many tourist eateries and cafe. The hotel deco is nostalgic feel and their service is great. What they can improve is the cleanliness and bed is too hard for me

The location was superb, just within Jonker Street opposite Baba House. The hotel was very pretty with historical Nyonya ambience, good for photos! We booked the standard twin room which was really small with limited walking space, you might need to book a bigger room if you have big luggages and some rooms access requires stairs, suggest to put a remark if you have big luggages, I’m sure the staffs will avoid assigning those rooms to you. Breakfast was basic and included in the price, we skipped breakfast and went for food hunting in Jonker St. There’s an inhouse spa as well.

Yelp
During the recent Valentine's weekend, I and my other half together with our friends decided to have a double date weekend away from the city. Instead of a romantic trip, we opted for a food-filled trip. We just needed to take a break from our busy city life. Hence, we had a road trip to Melaka, the historical state. During our visit, we stayed in this unique, classic yet modern boutique hotel, Hotel Puri. The hotel is nicely decorated with peranakan and life culture decorations. It feels so traditional and homely unlike the typical boutique hotel. Even the receptionist who checks us in is wearing a traditional Baju Kebaya. Talking about check in, we arrived 2 hours before the check in time. Fortunately, we are allowed an early check in because our room was ready. The receptionist was very efficient. She checked us in in less than 10 minutes! The four of us stayed in a superior quad room. The room was spacious, tidy and comes with complementary bottled mineral water and free Wi-Fi. However, there was some stain on the toilet seat. We called up the reception to inform them about our little issue and immediately they send their cleaner to clean them up right away. I was truly amazed by their efficiency. Other than their great services, the other thing I love about this hotel was its location. Hotel Puri is very strategically located. It is just one block away from Jonker Street where at night, we just park our car in the parking lot provided by the hotel free of charge and walk over to the night market. Hassle free! The hotel provides free breakfast for their guests too. They served a fusion of Malaysian breakfast and continental breakfast such as nasi lemak, porridge, toasts, baked beans, sunny side up and so on. For a boutique hotel, I must say, they serve wide varieties of food. In my opinion, the best part about their breakfast wasn't just about their food. It was the dining area, where we had our breakfast in the garden surrounded by trees and potted plants. It was so serene and relaxing. Overall we were very contented with our stay at Hotel Puri. They offer great service with reasonable price. I will definitely come back to stay on my next visit to Melaka.

Yelp
I love to spend my weekend in Malacca because it's very happening at the night time especially the Jonker Walk which is only available on weekend and i will always choose to stay somewhere near to Jonker. Hotel Puri is just located just behind the Jonker street which you don't even need 5 minutes of walking distance. In fact it's still in Jonker street here. The hotel is clean and full of modernize heritage interior design. Chinese said if birds are staying in it means this place is good Feng Shui, i guess it's good Feng Shui here as i saw many swallows are staying in the living room. You can see their babies sleeping in the nest at the roof top. The other reason i love to overnight here is also because of the quiet room. Although it's near to the happening street but i couldn't heard any noise when i was in the room. That's give me good night! Free parking and breakfast for guest.

Yelp
The historical town of Malacca is one of my favourite holiday destinations in Malaysia. I like Malacca for only 2 reasons, good food and historical buildings and local heritage. Most of the time I will only visit Malacca on day trip arrangements which means I don't usually overnight in Malacca, but when I do, I will usually choose to stay at Hotel Puri that is located in the vicinity of Jonker Street (just behind the Jonker Walk night market). I came to know of this hotel while I was searching for affordable hotels on the web. I have been staying in this hotel for several occasions already, and it always gets better with each subsequent visits. One of the thing I would like to highlight is that this hotel is very well maintained couple with great hotel management team. There was one time where our toilet in our hotel room is clogged up and when we notify the hotel staffs, it was immediately attended by their house cleaning staffs (Great Service guys!). Other than that, they even provide parking spaces in their private car park exclusively for their guest only (great especially in places like Jonker Street where it is almost impossible to get a parking). Lastly, they have probably one of the most competitive pricing in room rates and this is great for people that is seeking more value. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone that is looking for a reliable hotel to stay.

Yelp
Driving back from Singapore, we decided to stop by Melaka for a night. We wanted to stay near Jonker st and after looking around on the net/yelp, we settled on Puri. The hotel is really pretty inside, interior is nicely decorated and has this old classic traditional look. The staffs are nice and friendly too. Puri is somewhat of a medium size hotel and also kind of long too. The room we had was clean and comfortable, no issues. Breakfast is included, there's an option to eat indoors or outdoors-garden area(garden is pretty- filled with flowers, trees). If my memory serves me right, breakfast( lots of varieties) was a mix of local and a bit of western food. There is also a a room that shows the history of Melaka, as well as the original owner of the hotel- Puri was actually a house then it turned into what is today, a hotel! Joy (lovely lady) who works there gave us a really good history lesson. She also gave us recommendation on places to see nearby. Location wise, just like other fellow yelpers have mentioned, is great. It is walking distance to Jonker st, historical sites like a famosa fort/Dutch square. Based on our experience with Puri, we had a great time. We enjoyed our stay and for what we are paying, we think it's worth it.
