Hotel Q, Kurfurstendamm, Berlin, Germany - Explore & Book

"The red and white lobby of Hotel Q!, set just off Berlin’s glittering main drag, the Kurfürstendamm, comes as quite an eye-opener after the low-key, grey-walled façade. The work of the Graft group, who designed Brad Pitt’s Hollywood Studio, it’s undeniably cool: funky tunes play from concealed speakers, backlit walls emit a soft glow, and the hip all-in-black staff seem genuinely pleased to see you. (Want to know the latest clubs and newest boutiques? These guys are the people to ask.) Beyond the curved front desk lie a good Thai restaurant and a members-only bar - all red leather, charcoal suede and chrome - plus a lounge where you can recline on sleek chaises-longues and chill out over cocktails. There’s also a patio for alfresco summer drinks and, in the spa, a tropical sand room and a Japanese wash area for devotees. Slip upstairs to find low-level red lighting, vibey music set at just the right volume, and corridors lined with a thick burgundy shag-pile carpet that would look unfashionable anywhere else. The 77 all-white and well-maintained rooms flaunt cocoon-like design, with swooping bath-cum-bed combos and barely a right angle in sight; quirky touches like naked prints and ceiling murals add a spot of humour to break up the minimalism. All in all, it’s sexy, stylish and fun - a great Berlin base for couples seeking a good time. Highs An excellent location in one of Berlin’s most upmarket areas, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and close to good transport links Service is friendly and unpretentious, and the staff know all the hippest places in town Breakfast is one of the best we’ve come across - not normally included in the rates, but worth the extra spend During our summer stay, we enjoyed excellent cocktails in the secluded courtyard And in winter, the small basement spa has a sauna, steam room and a menu of excellent massages Lows The bold design may not to be everybody's taste, although it was still looking slick on our last visit The bath-by-the-bed arrangement looks great, but you’ll need to wash gently or you'll splash your sheets, and you may find it easier to climb out onto the bed than floor No twin rooms and bathrooms are open-plan: it’s definitely a hotel for couples rather than friends The full-length mirror right by the shower we found a touch unforgiving!" - Will Hide

Hotel Q! (Berlin, Germany) 1 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Berlin’s Hotel Q! is as stylish a space as any of the high-end retail shops around the corner on the Kurfürstendamm — and quite a bit more affordable. Unlike similarly avant-garde hotels in, say, London or Milan, Q! shows that high-design hotel interiors need not demand a premium price." - Tablet Hotels

My partner and I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Q! during our recent trip to Berlin. We arrived early from an overnight flight, and the front desk kindly held our luggage. They called us a few hours before our scheduled check-in to let us know our room was ready - much-appreciated after a long journey!||The hotel has a sleek and modern aesthetic, and our room was spotless and quiet. We barely heard a sound aside from the occasional footsteps above us. Our room was located at the end of a hallway on a higher floor, which added to the sense of privacy. The climate was on the cooler side during our stay (60s F), and we had no issues with temperature/air conditioning in the room.||While we didn’t try the breakfast or spa services this time, we’d definitely consider it on a future visit. The location was excellent - safe, very central to several metro lines, and easy to navigate. Staff were friendly and consistently welcoming. We'd happily stay here again.

1) No a/c|Our biggest issue is that the rooms have no a/c. We were told it is not Summer yet and that we could open windows. Staff provided an older noisy fan which disrupted our sleep the first night. The fan was fixed after we complained. Even with the window open it was difficult to control the temperature at night, sometimes in the middle of the night the room became too cold.||2) Water shut-off|One day the water shut-off and we couldn't shower in the room||3) Things we expected but didn't see|No recycling bin|No face towels, only hand and bath||4) Layout/Furniture: nice contemporary style lacks function|We liked the stylish furniture, bed and console/sink are one piece. However, the sink and console seat too low, probably less than 60cm so we always had to bend down. The shower is open design— you can be seen naked as you shower|||***If you're tall, over 1.80m, or mind being exposed as you shower I recommend you do not stay here***||5) Breakfast: Overpriced and not as many options as we expected. Good service but non-dairy alternatives were scarce/average||6) Amenities|Gym is a shoe-box, by appointment-only, but it is well-equipped. However, some equipment was broken. Sauna/Spa area is open limited hours but it was clean and very relaxing. It has a "beach" resting area with white sand. Definitely the highlight of our stay||7) Service|Five stars. Despite all the troubles the staff made a real effort to make the best of our stay

Excellent hotel, would definitely recommend. Staff very friendly and professional, room of a high standard. Quirky layout and amenities. Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast excellent. Location excellent, being very close to the train station. Very clean hotel. Would stay again.

Tried to book a week long stay through website. No booking confirmation page. No booking confirmation email. No response to enquiry email. Tried calling the hotel, but they requested I email their English email contact - also no response. Called again 2 days later and immediately got put on hold with no explanation.

A swanky hotel near the Sauvingy station. Within walking distances to high end stores & Berlin Zoo. We booked a double bed. Quiet, sleek. No problems with shower, hair dryer. The room is narrow but not too hard to get around (we had 4 pieces of luggage). Initially the wi-fi wasn’t working well but a quick call to the front desk to care of that. Breakfast was included in our package. The breakfast included many delicious items even miso soup. Scrambled eggs were on the buffet but you could have your eggs cooked fried or even made into an omelette. The staff was courteous and always helpful. Kudos to Pureza who went out of her way to cancel a 2nd reservation that I had made which I forgot. FYI, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie stayed at this hotel. Price is reasonable. Highly recommended for couples & singles

Yelp
I arrived from an international flight and my room was ready (unexpectedly) at 10 am. Beat that. The staff were top calibre. I usually avoid hotel breakfasts but due to exhaustion I went down for the 9 euro one. The coffee: good! The continental breakfast was simple but the food was so flavorful and fresh. I was impressed. Service was top notch. My room was very simple and at first I felt a bit disappointed and cold. But upon returning in the night the room was warm and the myriad of features revealed themselves. A full closet which I loved. Bed was comfortable. Late check out (for which I gratefully paid) was available. A wonderful experience.

Yelp
This place is gross. I stayed there for a night and could barely sleep. The room felt dirty and the bath tub too. I spoke with the staff and they could care less. The images of the rooms are from a different era. The hotels feels old and ugly.. not a good place to stay. . The staff could care less. They kept asking me if I had seen the images of the hotel before booking. Ugh gross

Yelp
I loved the styling of the hotel, location, and the front of house staff were friendly and attentive. However for the last couple days of nearly my week long stay I was in and out of the hotel room often. This seemed to baffle the cleaning staff and my room went uncleaned for those days. I'd leave the room for 2-4 hours at a time and hung the standard "Clean Now" sign on the door but nothing happened. I pointed it out to the staff at reception and they seemed genuinely concerned and said they would look in to it. One day is fine but two days in a room it's starts to look like a systemic problem. That being said, I'd definitely stay there again, just not on trips I need to work from the hotel for large chunks of time during the day.

Yelp
Fantastic location near the subway, tons of restaurants nearby, and shopping at the Kudamm. However, the actual hotel wasn't to our liking. While the sleek interior is eye catching, this isn't a practical place to stay. For example, the shower door is glass and opens to the main room (allows steam to enter everywhere). Even the bathroom sink is adjacent to your pillows. The AC did not work properly. We had a courtyard room on the 4th floor, but it was noisy every evening and early in the morning. Breakfast was included during our 3 night stay, but we weren't informed of this until we checked out. The hallways have red shag carpeting (no joke). Overall, the room size felt like a cruise ship quarters. I think there are better boutique hotels around.

Yelp
This was such a sexy hotel! It's the kinda place you want to book for a weekend with someone special or just to melt away yourself in their uber-comfy beds or soak in tub (which is attached to the bed in a very clever little way). I lived literally three blocks away from this hotel, but stayed there several times (for anniversaries and Valentines day). Really an awesome experience. And I love the bar and room service delivery (those were a bit on the pricey side but pretty much worth it). :)

Yelp
The rooms are ok though not overly clean. Very short tempered staff. Come for a drink but do not stay over night.
