Hotel Quarcino

a really lovely little hotel. The staff was always happy and gave great recommendations. The rooms were spacious and really nice. The parking spot in a gated area on a hill was also great, as it guarantees a safe space for your car. The location all around was also amazing, only a short 4 minute walk to get to the lake and old town, as well as supermarkets, restaurants etc. being close by. A little organizer was provided with useful information and recommendations, which also was an amazing and thought out addition. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location even though just outside city core. Walk to lake and restaurants in minutes. Clean hotel but decor not current. Great service. Breakfast selection good but needs to be fresher products.

Super comfortable room that is cool and well equipped, even with AC to cool down after a hot day during summertime! Located a short walk from the historic center, the hotel is a great base to reach the action but also far enough for a quiet sleep. I stayed here for only a night and wished I could stay longer!

Pia was amazingly kind and accommodating! The hotel is perfectly situated right in the center of the action while still being off the beaten path enough that you don’t feel like you’re in a fish bowl. The church bells were such a blessing and the staff was so kind. We will definitely be back.

*Warning to Lake Como travelers:* Hotel Quarcino canceled our Booking.com reservation 2 hours before arrival, falsely claiming card issues — despite valid cards and proof. They refused WhatsApp contact, insisted on email only. No help from Booking.com. Very frustrating experience!

Well located but bare-bones hotel with minimal amenities. The staff are not particularly welcoming or helpful, which set an uncomfortable tone. Bed was okay and the room was clean. The bathroom was tiny, towels threadbare and scratchy, and few amenities (a couple plastic bottles of cheap combined shower gel/shampoo). Note the bell tower in the church next door begins the day at 7:30 am. Not the hotel’s fault, of course, but you will be awakened early each day.

What a wonderful gem of a hotel. From checking in with the wonderful Salvatore everything was just lovely. Immaculate rooms. Good choice breakfast. Ideal location for the centre of Como. A really wonderful stay can highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the wonderful people that looked after us.
