The hotel has a lot of potential, the location is gorgeous, right in front of the beach, and our room was very comfortable. The bed was honestly one of the best I’ve ever slept in. We also loved having our own private little pool, which felt very special. However, there are some important downsides: there was ongoing renovation on one of the main pools during our stay, and unfortunately we weren’t informed about this when booking. Only once we arrived, we found a note in the room. The construction noise has been constant during the day, which definitely impacts the relaxing atmosphere you expect at a hotel in this price range. What’s disappointing is that the prices remain the same despite not having all the amenities available. I feel an honest hotel should either give a heads-up before arrival or offer a discount/compensation when key facilities aren’t usable. It feels a bit sneaky to only mention it after check-in. The Wi-Fi/TV service was also very poor. We reported the issue, and although someone came to check, the promised router for our room never arrived. Staff explained it was due to the weather, but the night before (when the weather was worse) the TV worked fine. We weren’t there specifically for TV, but when the weather isn’t great, being able to enjoy in-room amenities makes a big difference. From reading other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing problem. Another downside was the reception/front desk staff. Apart from the person who checked us in who was kind and informative, the rest of the front desk team treated us with zero friendliness, almost as if speaking to them was an inconvenience. It left a negative impression and made interactions uncomfortable. By contrast, the servers, pool staff, and housekeeping were wonderful, warm, polite, and hardworking. Overall, the comfort of the room and the beachfront location made the stay enjoyable, but the lack of transparency about renovations, the unwelcoming reception staff, and the unreliable in-room Wi-Fi/TV left a sour note. We will definitely return to Huatulco, but not to this hotel.

This place tried to scam me out of my deposit. TLDR: they lost and I won via my bank. Story: I put down a $300 CAD deposit on 11/2/25 for a room and changed my mind after a few days. My cancellation request was well within their "100% deposit refunded" cancellation period as clearly outlined on their website. I emailed them to cancel and they told me to open a dispute with my bank to get the refund as "For the refund is much easier if you contact your bank and ask for a dispute otherwise we have to make an international transfer". So, no problem, I did ask they asked... only to get a call from my bank a week later saying they are disputing my dispute!! I provided all the evidence to my bank and after a few months my bank informed me that I did, in fact, deserve a full refund. The money was back in my account the next day. In hindsight, this "open a dispute with your bank instead of us giving you a refund" by the hotel is likely an ongoing scheme they use in hopes that people will just be too lazy to do that and let the hotel keep their deposit. However, disputing that dispute is just a straight up scam. Avoid!

The room was nice and the restaurants for the most part are fantastic. Marea was great fro breakfast the service very attentive. Terrazas' food was excellent as well, although very slow so no rushing while dining there.|Lastly, they lack a small fridge in rooms to deter you from brining outside food which we have seen in other hotels. However, you can still have a small refrigerator to keep water or medications cold. They offer you to bring down to reception, but them seem bothered if you actually bring down. I have meds and my daughters had milk for their babies. As people that flew in, we did not have coolers with us so that was very annoying. |Other than that, it is a very nice hotel that is family oriented. The cleaning service were also very good l.

RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Do not be fooled by the cute pool/beach access. The outside of this property is nice, but the rooms are a disaster. I booked a deluxe king room with private pool as a treat for the end of our stay in Oaxaca. It was anything but that. The electric in our room started to short out (see videos, and turn sound on sounds like it’s about to catch on fire) and at 10pm they sent someone to “fix” it after waiting for 20-30 mins. It was not fixed. My husband had to request to be moved to another room. We waited in the lobby for another 30 mins (it’s now 11pm) for them to “find” us another room. We were taken to a room next door to the previous room and the mini split ac did not work. It powered on but no air coming out. At this point I didn’t feel safe staying there with no working ac and electric issues, that sound like a fire hazard and I requested a refund. This place refused despite the poor service and non working facilities. We led Rand I am disputing with my CC as this place is not as advertised. Also as of sept 2025 the place is under construction.

Our experience at the spa was nothing short of magical. Azucena and Ismeni were absolutely wonderful—attentive, professional, and deeply skilled. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making us feel truly pampered. We indulged in the Temazcal ceremony, a luxurious chocolate cacao skin ritual, and dreamy aromatherapy—all unforgettable. If you’re visiting Quinta Bella, this spa is an absolute must!

Such a lovely experience! The ladies at the spa are the sweetest! We loved the restaurant Aroma, the beach is wonderful, the rooms precious. We stayed in the rooms along the mountain side view and we loved it! We spent about half and half of the time in and out of the hotel. We visited the neighbors restaurants. We definitely will come back!

Be extremely careful on what you book here. The pictures of the rooms in the booking website are not what you are getting. If it says “Mountain View” that just means you are going to be looking at the parking lot or construction. They have like 3 different categories of rooms and when you get to the hotel, they will give you an old room and then tell you that if you want the room in the picture of your booking that you need to pay to upgrade. The staff on the front desk, specifically Fernanda, is horrendous to deal with. She is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I had a room change for my last night at the hotel. The hotel staff the night before had confirmed my room for my last night and while I was on my way out for a tour in the morning, Fernanda almost made me miss it because she was refusing to do what the hotel staff the night before had arranged and wanted me to move rooms again. I told her I was going to miss my tour and she just replied that it wasn’t her problem and that I couldn’t keep the room I was told the night before. 0/10 for Fernanda and the front desk staff. There is also construction going on so during the day it’s super loud. If you want to sleep during the day or just hang out in your hotel room, this is not the place to go. Please also note that this hotel is categorized incorrectly as a 5 start hotel on Google. The staff told me that they were a 4 star hotel. The positive side is that the location of the hotel is good. The hotel is close to downtown and a lot of the local attractions. The beach the hotel is located at is also nice but not great for swimming. There are various restaurants at the hotel and they have activities in the morning (yoga/pilates) and at night as well. They also have a gym and spa on site.

We have stayed here twice in the past year and will be coming back. It is a quaint beach front hotel with excellent service and numerous restaurants onsite. The restaurants are all good. It’s an easy walk to both local towns too. The beach out front is fairly quiet and we prefer it over the busier but calmer beaches around Huatulco. It is a little wavy but the kids still loved it and had no issues swimming there (ages 9 & 12) There is never a fight for beach or pool chairs or umbrellas no matter what time of the day you show up (we came during the January break and Easter break…both busy times of the year here). How refreshing from the big all inclusive resorts! Evening entertainment on the beach is a nice touch too! Salsa, movies, opera…changes nightly. Outside visitors can come and enjoy it too. Restaurants are open to the public too. I believe you can purchase a day pass too that includes lounger, towels, beach and pool access. The renovated deluxe mountain view rooms are beautiful. Our friends stayed in one of the rooms with a private pool on the ground floor and it was perfect for the kids to use and go back and forth from the main pool to the private pool. The room linens have been upgraded and the towels are better than what I have at home! There’s a French press and electric kettle in the room that came in very handy. We also liked having a water bottle refill station in the lobby. Beds are firm and pillows are awesomely comfy. Only downside is there is not much room to put your luggage and there is no where to hang wet bathing suites or towels. No hooks for anything. Be aware there is no mini fridge in the room. No where to store food anywhere. I would have liked to have purchased fruit and kept it in a fridge for afternoon snacks as fruit trays are not available after breakfast. Also the drapes are not blackout and are white so expect to get up with the sun. A good eye mask helps. No outside food or beverages are allowed around the pool or beach chairs or even on your private patio for the room with pools. The pool snack menu is very limited and pool drinks are a little pricy. We do not drink so it didn’t bother us so much but I could see how drinks would add up. If you leave the beach and check out the two restaurants that are open on site for lunch they are very good and diverse. All in all, it is one of my favourite places to stay

Yelp
The service is bad at two of the restaurants, one of them being Otto. The yoga mats that they provide are disgusting! When this was pointed out nothing was done to fix the problem. The cost of the hotel was so much in the end although it was advertised for so much less in the beginning. The rooms did get cleaned in a timely fashion. The coffee stunk! The rooms had no refrigerators in them.

Yelp
Beautiful location, rooms are nice and clean, BUT the pillows, towels, bed sheets, pillows are all VERY VERY OLD, RUFF on the skin, dingy in color from being so so aged! The shower is head flow poorly. My number 1 complaint, sheets, pillows, and towels all have to be replaced, I would be surprised it these items are not over 10 years old.

Yelp
Absolutely loved Quinta Bella.....such a fine resort and the staff went out of their way to make our stay a genuine treat. We choose a King Suite with our off patio private pool....that was the single feature that made me choose the resort. Restaurants on the property were exceptional. Loved our breakfasts on their covered deck watching the ocean. OTTO restaurant was one of the best of our whole trip. Outstanding food and service.

Yelp
This is definitely a nice place to stay for visitors to the Huatulco Mexico area. The rooms are basic but comfortable, the pools are lovely and the poolside service absolutely cannot be beat! We had all kinds of drinks and snacks during the three days we were there, And frankly we were blown away by how friendly the servers were! The hotel is also within walking distance to the central area and Mercado. Really the only downside was the staff at the front desk. No matter who was there, they seemed very put out every time we asked for a bottle of water. They just don't seem to like tourists. In our opinion, people with that attitude shouldn't be working the front desk. But all in all, it's a decent place to stay.

Yelp
*LATE REVIEW* I surprised my fiance to a trip to Mexico for the first time! So we did not know what to expect. We went in the beginning in July. Hands down, although Mexico is basically cheaper than America in almost everything, Quinta Bella was not just affordable, but also came with QUALITY service and QUALITY FOOD! This type of hotel would cost thousands in America! At this rate would definitely keep customers coming! Pricing is affordable, not too cheap to where it is skeptical, and not too expensive to where I'd look elsewhere. The whole experience of beachfront, our own private pool, easy access to hotel pool and bars made the experience an everlasting memory! The private beach where you can have a nice long walk made our experience in Mexico overall the best trip outside of country, so far. Quinta Bella is extremely close to local restaurants, activities, convenience stores, etc. If I were to come back to Huatulco, I will definitely book this place as long as it doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Thank you to Quinta Bella and staff, especially the security and front gate attendants! They were friendly and I just felt it was more of a personal/friend connection rather than just a business. I 100% recommend. FYI, looks like they are building more rooms, and pools and maybe other activities/bars at this hotel. So to all new guests, I hope this is up and running because it looked beautiful even during the construction process.

Yelp
I went there to enjoy my New Year's. I made point to book a resort to have full access of amenities cones with the resort like restaurants, bars and pool. The hotel closed pool/ beach access, bars and restaurant for the guest who stayed there, paying 220$ a night without a notice ahead. If I knew it I did not book this place. The owner of the hotel threw a private party that non of the guest have access. I had to go to an other resort to spend my New Year's Eve which was not easy to get an access. I returned to my resort and the private pArty still went till 2:30 am. Window shaking music and karaoke continued. All of their gust had no concept of social distancing and masks. Crappy place ever.

Yelp
My Husband, Son and I had a wonderful stay at the Quinta Bella, it is a small quaint location which makes it perfect for enjoying the resort without fighting crowds. The entire staff was attentive and provided great customer service our entire stay. The downside is not bringing in your own drinks, it worked fine for us but it does cost more. Extremely close to town, just a short cab ride away.
