Hotel Quinta do Furão

We stayed at Hotel Quinta do Furão for three nights and absolutely loved it. The surroundings are insanely beautiful – dramatic cliffs, vineyards, sea views, and peaceful walking paths right outside the door. It’s a truly special setting that feels like a hidden gem.||Our room was charming and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent each morning – fresh, tasty, and generous.||The only area that could use some improvement is the restaurant. While the setting is lovely and service was friendly, the food didn’t quite match the quality of the rest of the experience. Also, the press coffee was nice, but the latte could definitely be better.||Despite this, we really enjoyed our time here and would happily return. It’s a beautiful place and well worth the visit.

We recently had brunch for four at Quinta do Furão, and unfortunately, the experience was quite underwhelming. To begin with, the one-hour time limit seriously detracts from what a brunch should be — a relaxed, unhurried moment to enjoy. The menu was surprisingly limited, resembling more an overpriced breakfast than a proper brunch. On a positive note, we were kindly attended by a very professional and attentive Venezuelan waiter — easily the highlight of our visit. However, the rest of the brunch staff appeared disengaged, and several dishes that ran out were never replenished. Whether this is due to organizational shortcomings or poor working conditions, the end result is a sense of carelessness that leaves a poor impression. Another downside was the automatic addition of a 10% tip at payment. While optional in theory, the way it’s presented makes it feel awkward to refuse — not a great experience for guests. In summary: €55 per person (including tip) for a limited breakfast and access to the garden and pool feels excessive. We wouldn’t return.

A great hotel in a wonderful location close to Santana. Stunning view of the coast among vineyards. Ask for a room with sea view. The hotel has a feel of a mountain chalet, with a fireplace in the main room, the food, both breakfast and dinner, were excellent (for dinner ask to sit on the balcony) and the spa very nice. I had an excellent sport massage. The rooms are pleasant and well appointed. You will need a car. One of the few hotels were breakfast is served earlier (730 am) which enabled us to arrive early for our treks. A necessity as parking lots get filled quickly after 830 am.

Fantastic hotel, lovely staff with amazing attention to detail, lovely food and amazing breakfast. Fantastic room, very comfortable and amazing views. Lovely grounds and great pools. We would definitely stay there again.

It was a perfect holiday. The hotel is characterised by its excellent location with a breathtaking view. The breakfast is designed to cater for everyone. Very tasty. The staff are exceptionally accommodating, the rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent. We will be back again.

Absolutely amazing building and grounds. Hard to get a better setting for a getaway. The staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything about my stay was perfect and I can only hope everyone gets a chance to stay at this hotel.

From arrival to departure our stay was an absolute pleasure. We were welcomed their warm staff. It continued our entire stay. Very comfortable rooms, great complimentary breakfast, amazing views from the ocean facing vinyards. We didn't want to leave. If you want to get away from the hussle & bustle, this is the spot.

As I am writing this, I still can’t believe how amazing our stay was. The views are just as breathtaking as you see in the pictures. The staff is just wonderful. Even when you are not staying at the hotel, you should definitely pass and have a drink. In one word: WOW!!
