Hotel Quinta do Furão

The hotel is absolutely stunning, perched on a breathtaking cliff where the sea and the rocks meet in perfect harmony. It’s surrounded by vineyards, creating a truly pastoral and serene atmosphere. You can’t miss the unique pool that winds its way through the vineyard paths — such a delightful and memorable experience. The staff is exceptionally professional and kind. We had an issue with a double booking, and they guided us through the process and helped us cancel the duplicate with great patience and care — truly commendable service. The rooms are luxurious, each offering a spectacular view. Breakfast is simply perfect — an incredible variety, everything fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I could go on and on, because they really deserve it. In short — a heartfelt and highly recommended stay!

This hotel blew us away. We knew it would be beautiful, but wow, it's so stunning. The coastline is picture-perfect, complete with a waterfall. The other side is mountainous with rolling clouds all day. There are flowers, trees, and vineyards lining the whole property. The staff is very detailed and professional, and there's always someone around to help. Check in was quick, and they will make reservations for you at the restaurant and pizzeria/pub. You can also always get a drink or snack at the bar. Our room was lower-level ocean view. We could sit outside our room and walk straight out to look over the ocean. They do have floor length blackout shades if you want to sleep in and water, coffee, and tea in the rooms. We were also given two chocolates each night! The breakfast buffet was so good. They have fruit, juice, yogurt, pastries, breads, cereal, and a few hot items for self-serve. You can also order items like omelets, pancakes, etc., coffee, and a huge array of tea. We ate at the restaurant one night and the pizzeria the next and both were good. We can't wait to go back and spend more time at this beautiful place.

We had our wedding here and welcome drinks and i can’t say enough glowing things about this hotel. It’s stunning, grounds are immaculate, one of the best breakfast stations I’ve ever experienced and such healthy options, amazing staff that go above and beyond to make your staff feel so smooth and easy. It was the best time of our lives and our guests felt so at ease staying at the hotel. It’s a dream and I wish I could have a 10 stars to give. We can’t wait to come back and they offer some classes for free like bread making where you learn how to bake your own bread and they bring it to you after. Thank you for everything Quinta ❤️❤️

We came to this hotel shortly after it opened in 1996, we were blown away by the setting of the hotel, the food, the exceptional service and the comfort, just beautiful. Lovely memories.| |We dined again last Saturday while staying in Câmara de Lobos. We had the Steak Tartare which was the best I had tasted, incorporating perhaps some tahini, just perfect. We both ordered the spiced chicken which wasn’t expected for me, however the manager swiftly removed and asked me to choose something else, he dealt with this with the utmost professionalism and I had the Salmon Carpaccio, which was beautiful with the condiments. All staff were friendly and eager to make your stay ||We would love to stay there again, the views are spectacular and they have expanded to appreciate these views with balconies, a real haven of natural beauty.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a walking holiday with Headwater. It is a beautiful, quiet hotel, in the middle of nowhere so don’t expect to visit any local shops, bars etc. We had a small balcony at the rear overlooking the car park and wished we’d upgraded to one of the rooms at the front overlooking the beautiful bay.|The staff are all really friendly and can't do enough to help. Breakfast was included which was a tasty buffet with plenty of choice in the main building which had a bar, swimming pools (inside and out) and gym (where you could fill up your water bottles free). The evening meals were served in a separate building which proved very popular with tourists staying at other hotels. Part of the restaurant had an outside seating area with glorious views of the bay but you needed to get there early to get a table. We were provided with a pack lunch one day but unfortunately found the sandwiches too dry made with thick brown homemade bread so did not eat them. A same really as all the other foods were excellent.

I have stayed in 10…20 four-stars hotels so far. For me, Quinta do Furão is the best I ever encountered. In a calm, rather sunny location, with great view, it offered an ever-friendly staff and a big breakfast buffet. I really had the feeling that I was being taken care of. Not only is a minibar on the room, prefilled but with space for your own beverages, but there is also a Nespresso machine should you ever be overcome with the immediate wish for a freshly brewed coffee. Every evening, the housekeeping staff brought a sweet treat and asked if I needed more tea of coffee. This made me feel pampered. This hotel has its price but I am -now and again- willing to pay the price because it‘s really worth it.

We had a lovely stay here overall. The scenery is magical and the highlight of this property, the pools and sauna are very nice, and we enjoyed the pizza restaurant especially. We had an ocean front room in the new section of the hotel which was spacious and comfortable but I may have preferred the rooms in the more historic part of the hotel if they were available. A few things made this 4 instead of 5 stars. The service was very slow at multiple meals including breakfast where we didn’t get to order coffees/kitchen food until after we were done eating our buffet items. My husband also ordered tenderloin at the restaurant and received meat that was definitely not tenderloin.

A beautiful location clinging to the cliffside. The grounds are spectacular as well. excellent hiking from the hotel (but be prepared for steep trails). we hiked to the beach down the old cobblestone path and then ascended the cliff on the opposite side to a small coffee shop. A beautiful morning hike. the best were the sunrises over the ocean. Dinner at the restaurant was good although the service was inconsistent. aside from the hotel restaurant, a drive is required to eat elsewhere
