Stayed here for the location. It’s dated. Paint peeling all over. Musky moldy smell throughout the halls and installations.
Breakfast was not edible. Eggshells in the scrambled eggs, leather-like meat, undercooked boiled hot dogs. Not what it used to be years ago during my earlier visits.
You have to purchase a swim cap to use the pool, which seems antiquated and unnecessary by international resort standards.
There were many outside day guests at the hotel, making facilities overcrowded for overnight guests. Instead of a fun poolside vibe, there was a Catholic mass (lasting more than 45 minutes) and private event, which entirely killed the relaxing setting. Even the staff was embarrassed and apologetic. Completely inappropriate for a public secular space where people come to relax not hear a priest speaking incessantly over a microphone.
Bottom line, go somewhere else, if you want a relaxing and decent stay while in Quito. This place is horrible.
