Hotel Rajasa

I needed a cheap place to stay for visiting Borobudur and this place met my demands. It’s super close to the temple entrance and a cheap place to get your own room. The place itself is nothing special (except the back patio where you can sit and read is quite nice), but the staff is incredible. Warm, friendly and genuinely caring. ||||Also, the place might seem a bit run down, but it was clean and had no bed bugs, so for that price it’s a pretty good choice. I would stay here again.

Great stay at Rajasa. The hotel is simple and clean, walking distance from Borobudur Temple (discount tickets available). Breakfast included in the room rate is simple & tasty: fresh fruit, coffee/tea, plus choice btwn toast, fried rice w/egg, or a banana (or pineapple) filled crepe. Menu available for more if desired. Staff were very courteous & helpful. Owner/manager, Ai allowed us to alter our booked arrival times by one day without penalty. Everything was as advertised. In addition, Ai is very knowledgeable of Javanese history & culture, and the region in general. Ai lined up a wonderful itinerary for our family of four (2 teenage boys) and friends who are a couple. All of us stayed at the hotel, arriving with only a basic idea of what to do. After hearing our preferences & time constraints (60 hrs), Ai outlined his recommendations from which we picked & chose. Borobudur & Prambanan topped the list. Ai added 4 more less-visited temples, river rafting, a Ramayana Javanese Ballet, sunset views, lunch/dinner & shopping recommendations both in Borobudur & Yogyakarta, and a car & driver for two & half days. We would have wanted to experience much more had we the time. Ai offered great no-haggling-necessary pricing & how to do things cost-effectively. It was perfect! Memories for a lifetime. |My family & accompanying friends felt we got more than we paid for. At Rajasa's great low room rates, we hoped for the minimum, but received much more. If requiring a European/American standards stay, you may be disappointed. If you on the other hand are looking for a low-cost Indonesian flavorful alternative to neighboring Manohara, an alternative that is clean, simple, safe, and friendly, I highly recommend Rajasa. The best thing about this hotel is it's perfect location near Borobudur temple, so you can reach it's gate by walking, which takes only few minutes. Hotel itself is not very special. We had room with fan, whis was well-functioning, but private toilet was a little bit smelly. There was also an anthill in front of our doors and partly in the wall, so we had plenty of ants in the room. On the other hand, backyard seems to be reconstructed and new and looks very nice, with view on the fields. Food in restaurant was okay, but sometimes we had to search for someone who can serve us. Wifi is avaiable only in lobby/restaurant.

The only good thing of this place is the position(very close to Borobudur temple).|The rest is less than average. The room is spartan and it doesn't seem very clean, especially the bathroom(there is only the toilet, no shower, no sink). The meals aren't good at all, we eat at Rajasa because of the late our but it wasn't neither good nor economic.|I really do not recommend this place.

Excellent quality for such a price. Staff was extraordinary friendly. Place was very clean. Food was tailored to guests' need- vegetarian, western taste, local food, etc. They provide private car for charter as well. The driver can multi-task as a tour guide, hence you can save the cost.

Great place to stay while you're about to enjoy Borobudur. Clean room and nicely managed hotel. With rice field view in front your room, imho. Ah, and the food offered are also great taste. Keep up the great service.

For those looking for a spot to stay with easy access to Borobudur temple, Hotel Rajasa is definitely it. With a very friendly and informative host, the stay was very pleasant. The rooms may not have been terrific but either ways, if you are headed for the sunrise tour at Borobudur, you wouldn't really spend too much time in bed.

I didnt stay but I went to visit because I already booked oposite hotel. Walk in rate 300K if I want to check in. Honestly is clean and worth it. I wish I did not book what I alreafy did...
