Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design Wien

The Rathaus hotel is nice, located on a quiet street. One room was lovely, the other less so. In both rooms the shower and wash basin area was open plan so offered no privacy. We had booked two rooms, one a twin - but on arrival they only had two doubles. Fortunately the staff were very nice and solved the problem. The second problem was they could only hold our luggage till 3 pm on the departure day as the hotel was closing for a week. There were no available lockers at the train station so our morning was wasted. The hotel should give advance notice so as to avoid inconveniencing guests.

We stay for almost a week in the hotel, the service was wonderful, we felt it was our home in Vienna. The people in the reception were warm and they managed to perfectly any language. The breakfast was very good, it has vegan options - can we add more please? - ||The design of the room was fresh and different to typical hotels: we enjoyed a lot the design of the room!

This place was phenomenal. We had the friendliest staff, especially Janko who gave us the warmest welcome after an extremely long travel day. He really made our stay feel like home, and even printed out recommendations for us and left them at our room. The location is amazing close to everything and the Christmas markets! Cannot recommend this place more :)

Lovely boutique Hotel with stylish Wine designs. Front desk open 24 hrs/day. Very accommodating staff esp at breakfast with comfortable seating. Bed was very soft except for the extra bed which had an extremely hard mattress.

Rooms were reasonable though the bed was quite hard and a comfortable chair is needed. Bar was welcoming. Breakfast was enjoyable though the scrambled eggs were regularly not heated. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

We stayed at the Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design for six nights. The hotel is on a nice side street just outside the inner loop, but within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions.||The room was good-sized, with a comfortable bed, and very quiet. The breakfast buffet included meats, cheeses, and sweet breads, among other choices, and was very good.||The staff and service were excellent. ||Special thanks to Jorge, the proprietor and sommelier of Jorge’s Wine Bar, which is part of the hotel. He is very knowledgeable, and was generous in sharing his passion for wine.

The first time in the area, perfect distance from the city centre. Hotel is clean, comfortable, environmentally friendly and has everything necessary for unforgotable stay. Breakfast is just great, espresso and tea at disposal for whole day

Very nice location . Nice and spacious rooms. But toilets are not user friendly and there is no privacy. The water basin is in the middle of the corridor without doors . The shower is next to it so no privacy at all. The water tap of the shower was leaking. Staff is very junior. They didn’t explain anything at the arrival (breakfast, hours, WiFi etc). When we left we needed to take the luggage from the luggage room and the guy at the reception forgot it. We have waited quite some time while he was doing the check in to other people but no action taken. We went on our own, took the luggage said goodbye and no reply. They are smiling and nice guys but really junior for a 4 star hotel
