we have stayed at your hotel on two occasions and hopefully wish to return this September. Would you be so kind to send me your email address. I will then contact you. Danke. Stephen Barnett Email - dgjybarn@aol.com Our dinner was fabulous. You were kind enough to lend us the use your hotel computer to contact our families in the United States and friends in Switzerland. We also enjoyed the thermal baths and wish to return to use them again in 2025.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Service was superb, the room was clean and thoughtfully furnished. We weren't fans of the mattresses, but I find I complain about hotel mattresses nearly everywhere I stay, so I suspect that's just me. The location is great to walk to most activities you may wish to do here, and it's close to a plaza with several bus stops that can take you further afield.

We loved our stay at this 16th century guesthouse with 21st century amenities. The double room was large, furnished with antiques, and very clean. A kettle, instant coffee and tea were provided. The receptionist was a delight - very welcoming and gave us individualized attention at all times. The hotel is easy to find and there is a spot right in front to stop and unload luggage before parking at the discounted Vincenti Garage (receptionist will give you the special key card). There is no lift, but the staff assist with luggage. The location is ideal for exploring the city on foot, and very close to the thermal baths. After a long day of exploring we decided to relax and dine in the hotel restaurant, (something we never do.) Our dinner was a highlight of the stay! Very cozy German experience. My husband had rabbit cordon bleu, I had duck confit. Both amazing! While waiting in our room for the dining room to open for dinner service, I went into the dining room and asked if I could buy a bottle of wine to enjoy in the room and then bring to dinner. A young man graciously helped me choose the wine from a vast selection, then miutes later brought it to our room with glasses, and opened it with pleasure! The breakfast buffet was abundant and also offered cook to order hot food. The only restaurant in a 10 city tour that offered German pancakes (crepes) which I adore. All in all this was my favorite hotel (out of ten) on our road trip in Germany.

See attached video. Avoid this hotel unless you don’t need sleep. I checked in at 7 pm and got the single room on the ground floor. When I came back from dinner at 10 pm, I realized there’s a constant machine humming sound through the wall. It grew louder and louder that literally shook the wall! The noise came from some machinery inside the hotel (on the other side of the wall it’s the hallway). My best guess is the heat or water pump. I turned off my heat, air conditioning but it’s not coming from this room. Ear plugs didn’t work, I tried everything to ignore it but it’s impossible to fall sleep. Unfortunately, there’s no staff during night time after 9 pm. I finally called the number at 2 am (international call). Staff was friendly but was not helpful at all. They couldn’t change room for me, didn’t propose any solutions as they weren’t “here” at the hotel and could only investigate in the morning. I ended up leaving the hotel at 3 am, walked with my luggage to two hotels but either full or no staff at 3 am, until 20 minutes later to a Marriott that was the only hotel in town available at this hour. Booked quite an expensive room for only a few hours. Sadly this ruined my plan for the next day.

This hotel is great. Right in the heart of Baden-Baden, the two famous bath houses are just a few blocks away.|We reserved a room for three and received a two bedroom space on the second floor, each room with its own bath. The decor of this place is antique style, and the furnishings in our room and in the breakfast area were all in beautiful condition.|The staff was all super friendly and helpful, from check-in to planning nearby hikes (there is a great one into the Black Forest Hills that begins just a few blocks from the front door), and providing info about the town.|There was a very good buffet breakfast.|It was quite warm while we were there, and there was no AC in our room. You could open windows, but it was hard to get air to circulate, even with the floor fans in the rooms. We were comfortable enough though.|There is no parking at the hotel, and the city frowns on unloading vehicles in front of the hotel. There is garage parking about a five minute walk away, about $22 a day, and we had no trouble finding space in it.|The old town center is just a few flights of stairs down, and there are plenty of restaurants for all different budgets. We thought Amadeus was delicious. Also, don't miss a stroll along the river front. One of the most beautiful we've been to in Europe.|Overall we just loved the character this place has, and the genuine staff members who are glad to help you plan your time in Baden Baden.

Wonderful old guest house! Beautiful huge original timbers in the room. Great reception and service from the||Moment we arrived. Excellent location to all stores, park, sights, spas. We highly recommend this guest house and will stay here again for the historic prominence and location. Breakfast was good too!

Excellent location right in the middle of town....short walk to the baths, down to the old town, or to historic church with a neat walking path overlooking the town. Check-in was very welcoming and she gave us some good tips for enjoying the town....also provided us towels for going to the thermal baths. Summer festival at the Kurhaus was neat and watching the Germany Euro match at an outdoor restaurant was a lot of fun (though the result was not good). Room was very comfortable and large with a nice view of the town. Rooftop patio was fun for lunch one day (though next door they were re-roofing so it was rather loud). Baden-Baden is not the best destination for train travel....not hotel's problem but a consideration when planning your travels....its about 20 min from the train station to the town....either by bus/trolley or by taxi|Hotel has a lot of steps, both within and going down into town....if thats a problem, its not for you....Breakfast was delicious. it was in the hotel restaurant which is very gemutlich....also dinner in the hotel restaurant one night was also very good. Everyone working at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. Made our visit very enjoyable.

Five stars with a few caveats. We had room 10 which was just steps from the hotel front desk, and didn’t require hauling luggage upstairs. It was surprisingly quiet. The high ceilings and ample space put a smile on my face every time I stepped inside. It was the perfect room to return to after a day out hiking or sightseeing. It also had lovely, old-style quality furniture including a good-sized armoire. The front desk spoke English and were friendly. The dining room was charming. Now for the caveats: Almost all the exterior access points involve going up street stairs.Unless you want to lug baggage up dozens of stairs, then you need to take Gernsbacherstrasse up to the top, turn left on Baderstrasse and then left on Steinerstrasse. You might want to brace yourself in the shower or hang onto something, because the plastic floor slopes downward toward the shower door, and it can be slippery, especially if some lotion gets on the floor. The toilet is basically a doorstop, which is not a problem as long as the other person in the room knows you are so engaged. They do have a coffee machine in the room, but it’s not exactly intuitive. They have a choice of three warm items that are brought to your table, and you’re not limited to one item. Be sure to ask for add-ons with your omelette. Instead of self-serve coffee, you have to wait for them to bring it, so that cuts down on consumption as well.

Yelp
This is not my first stay here. I was a little disappointed in our room, next to the reception desk, street level. But, we didn't have to drag our bags up the stairs. Wonderful breakfast. I appreciate your response, I had no idea there was a difference in double room categories. Thankyou

Yelp
Loved this hotel!! The staff are super friendly, they provide a map of the town in English and tips on what to do and when. Quaint and romantic, close to walk to almost every attraction of this beautiful small town. Great shopping and eating within a few steps, 300 ft from the bathhouses. The bed was huge, very firm and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower. Breakfast has a decent selection and the coffee is sehr gut!

Yelp
Wow The location was good in downtown Baden Baden, near the baths. We were amazed by the quality of the wine list. Lots of local German wines. We got a local white burgundy and a local red The " historical" dishes were phenomenal--especially the sausage and potatoes with cabbage. The staff were warm and professional. A great experience In Deutschland

Yelp
I'm very happy here. They took great care of me. I'm writing an article about off-season travel. They gave me great advice and accommodated my severe food allergies. The room was very comfortable and clean. They were extremely respectful. My only complaint would be the wifi. I'm working, so it was a bit of a hassle. The speed was very slow and horribly unreliable. That was not their fault at all, it's just Baden Baden. If you are not working, the wifi is sufficient for light tasks.
