We booked a room for 4 and the receptionist suggested an apartment for the same price (110 Eur). She only warned us that it was on the 3rd floor without elevator. No big deal, I thought. Then a chain of not so pleasant surprises: the apartment was in an adjacent building with narrow entrance and staircase (pics not included on the hotel's site), cold, small dorm for 2 and two uncomfortable armchair-beds (one even folded at night) and heating through the AC unit (noisy solution), almost no daylight and noise from the street coming in unhampered. The white-washed walls were stained with black marks. Overall, not welcoming; they could improve it, make it more user-friendly: lighting, wall painting.. Clean, however. ||||The next day we moved in the hotel. The room on the 1st floor was rather small, certainly more welcoming than the apartment, the sofa-bed was ok to sleep and the heating was not noisy as it was coming from the central system. The walls were stained (why not put some tapestry or wallpaper to prevent marks from suitcases or shoes - one meter from the ground?). The bathroom was definitely interesting, wanted to be modern (outside mirror and sink, separated WC and shower), but the execution lacked precision: the WC door was not closing properly, so no soundproofing; not recommended for romantic trips. :P||||Breakfast buffet good, rich, employees nice, easy to reach Tarragona and ok to park outside, for free.
