We had stayed at Rayas Executive Home, Kumbakonam on 2nd and 3rd of October and the service was abysmal to say the least and terrible.It was highly disappointing and the fundamental amenities and cleanliness standards were unacceptable.
Key Issues Encountered:
Air Conditioning Failure: The AC unit in the room was non-functional, and the accompanying remote control was also not working. This made the room extremely uncomfortable, especially in the local climate, turning the intended rest into a struggle with the heat.
Unclean and Stinking Bathroom: The state of the bathroom was appalling. It was clearly not properly cleaned before my arrival and had an offensive odor/stink, which created an extremely unhygienic environment.
Plumbing Malfunctions: Adding to the discomfort, the bathroom suffered from two significant plumbing issues:
There was water leakage which made the floor perpetually wet and slippery.
The flush system was dysfunctional, which is a basic necessity and completely unacceptable in any accommodation.
The combination of these issues ruined the experience. I chose this accommodation for a comfortable stay, but instead, I was faced with multiple maintenance and cleanliness failures that made the room practically uninhabitable. I urge the management to address these critical issues immediately. The property is in urgent need of maintenance and a serious review of its housekeeping and quality control protocols.
