Hotel REA

Stayed there for three nights. Fantastic cute little hotel right in the very middle of Heraklion. Many nice, but yet not very touristic- bats and restaurants are around. And, despite that, there is no noise at all! The owner is also a very sweet girl, she was helpful and treated us very politely. Value for money, definitely.

The location is excellent. The room was very quiet, even though it was on the ground floor. While the bathroom had a slight odor, it was clean. The receptionists were friendly, professional, and provided exceptional hospitality.

Two minutes from the center of Heraklion city.. in a quite small alley.|Perfect location, easy to access, near bus stations for reaching other destinations |Clean, not noisy, with an extra small amount you get a wealthy breakfast|well valued...

Room was OK for a cheap stay in the city. Comfortable with what you need. The assistant at reception was super informative and very accommodating, giving us information about breakfast, providing additional pillows etc. It helped to make the stay better!

This is not the fanciest of hotels but when I had a big problem getting ahold of Expedia, and the car rental agency that was supposed to pick me up- the hostess went above and beyond for me. She researched and got the right people on the phone when I was so stressed and worried. The car rental place was listed differently and had the wrong number listed on expedia- she figured everything out!

Hotel REA exceeded my expectations. The hotel was very nice inside, clean and well run. Be warned there was no elevator, but not a big deal. The staff was super nice and helpful when we asked questions! It's a great place to stay for a fantastic price!

I woke up in the night and found the bed completely covered in bed bugs. I am writing this at 3am as I am scared to sleep on this bed. Absolutely disgusting. I can see bed bugs hiding in the head board and found fresh mini blood spots on the blanket from them biting me. I want to change hotels but I think it’s too late in the night|Edit: the manager called me was upset that I left a review when I have emailed 3 times and called several more times. She then hung up on me after I asked for a refund!! This place is unethical and I am looking to get lawyers involved. This is honestly such a traumatizing experience!

Stayed here for two nights in August 2023||Pros:|1) Location is good. The place is quite close to the beach. The City Centre and the Fort are all within walking distance.|2) The front desk staff speak excellent English|3) The WIFI is free and the speed and connectivity are good.|4) The room and bathrooms were very clean|5) There are several good restaurants within walking distance|6) Tariff is reasonable|7) The place is quite at night and sleep quality was good.|8) Air condition was available||Cons:|1) There is no parking nearby. There is a 24 hr car park at a 10 min walking distance.|2) The room and bathroom are small.
